Finally I had the chance to shoot in this stunning location, a very old monastery hallway with large windows. I love the gothic architecture and how the light also forms the shadows. The light is from a flash on the other side of the window, mimicking the sun. Together with the stunning bride and her pose this is one of my favorite images.
I usually photograph against the sun to get a nice atmosphere but somehow I could not find any nice light inside the church. Then I decided to use the sun as my main light because I saw it falling exactly on the last row. It fell also on the chandelier and organ and created this very high contrast image.
Always love grabbing night time shots! Holly and Philip were so great to work with - not often the wedding car is still around at night time so always great to take advantage!
This image was taken in early spring at one of my favorite castles. There was chicken wire on the bridge to prevent from slipping when wet but it also grabbed the veil of the bride so they had to stop walking and their pose and the veil was just perfect because of this happening.
I wanted to get a different perspective here to incapsulate the whole landscape. I got the couple out on the rocks. It took a while to get the couple out on the rocks but it paid off, a moment to treasure for the rest of their lives.
What a great shoot with James and Aisling in the Gap of Dunloe. Always worth jumping over a gate to get to a spot - always proves the effort is worth it! Loved this wedding day!
It was my last wedding of the year and it was just before Christmas. Thick fog made everything appear magical. I saw two Hemlock trees appear as silhouettes and placed the couple between them. Since the sun did not get through the thick fog but gave a warm glow I decided to add a flash behind the couple. It turned out to look like a Christmas card!
My favourite spot at Lincoln Cathedral which offers colour, texture & natural patina on the building adding that awesome feel to the whole photo for sure !
Elaine and Adam in beautiful West Cork, Ireland. The light was just amazing all the way through this session. The sea and atmosphere of the location was so amazing. An incredible shoot!
This couple suggested to have their images taken on this beach....I was delighted to have got the chance to get this for the couple. the weather just just broke afterwards, very lucky indeed.
Outside the old church it was dark and raining hard, inside the church it was cold and also dark. I used the modeling light of my flash to light up the bride and all of her flowergirls. I asked them to chat with eachother and here is the result!
I spotted this old farm building & loved the look & texture, then quickly had the idea of placing them with the 2 colours in the middle
Being a photographer in the UK means that the weather changes from minute to minute ! This image was captured in a short period of the day when suddenly the wind was wild! I would often borrow someone to flick the veil to get a similar shot but it was nice to capture it naturally
Holly and Philip in one of my favourite locations in Killarney. We were so lucky this day with the weather - it stopped raining when we started and started the minute we finished our session. That light, the couple - what a shoot!
Eliza and Will shortly before their Wedding Breakfast at the beautiful and historic Britannia Royal Naval College, Dartmouth. Both looked amazing!
O cold, wet, windy day. At the day time with the shoot we had horrible weather, we needed to hide under a tree. But with the sundown we had a beautiful mist an the golden glow!
Simple iPhone trick here to give the couple this awesome shot. One of the last images of the night. its great to get these images later in the evening for a more dramatic look
It was fall and I knew a beautiful tree lane. The sun was low and I could use it as a sort of hair light. The couple's clothing was quite dark so I had to use a flash to light up the shadows and that turned out very nice!
One of my signature shots that my clients love ! If it rains at night then we are out & this one didn't disappoint with Kim & Adam up for it !
