One Hundred and Thirty-Fourth Collection
You canโt judge a book by its cover, but sometimes a collection of books can tell a beautiful story about the people who read them. In this image, we portrayed this lovely wedding couple not through a romantic pose, but through something deeply personal: their favorite authors and the stories that have shaped them.
What makes this photograph special is that it celebrates not only their love for one another, but also the individuality they each bring into their marriage. Long before they became husband and wife, they were two unique people with their own passions, dreams, and perspectives. Those qualities remain an important part of who they are together.
We are delighted that Wedisson recognized this concept. To us, this image is a tribute to identity, connection, and the idea that a strong marriage is built not only on love, but also on appreciating the unique story each person brings to the relationship.
When a bunch of lovely goose pass by, we didnt hesitate and in a split sec this lovely picture was shot :)
During a wedding session in a botanical garden in Rotterdam, I experimented with a rotating camera technique to create movement and energy around the couple. My goal was to guide the viewer's eye directly towards them, while using the surrounding greenery as part of the story. It took several attempts to find the right balance between motion and focus, but eventually everything fell into place. A reminder that creativity often starts with trying something that doesn't work the first time!
We could see that there was going to be lovely sunset, so we got the couple to come out between courses and climb a small hill near the dining room which put them at the perfect angle to catch the setting sun and create the silhouette.
Between drinks and diner we took half an hour on this autumn-like day in late summer. We were luck to have a dry spell and a sunset glow. All that was left was for them to enjoy the rest of the evening as husband & wife!
Despite the beautiful weather, the couple insisted on having a photoshoot with the white umbrella. The sunset behind the building added a fairytale touch.
The bouquet is in the air, hearts are racing, and for one unforgettable moment, nothing else matters. Surrounded by laughter and cheers, a determined guest makes her move while the bride watches it all unfold. A beautifully chaotic celebration of love, friendship, and the memories that make a wedding day truly unforgettable.
No one wants rain on their wedding day, but it's the one thing you can't control, you've just got to run with it and be prepared to go signing in the rain!
The architecture provided the perfect backdrop. The elegant surroundings and their confidence together made this one of those images that immediately stood out.
โThis wonderful couple radiated pure enthusiasm. When they discovered a headscarf in the glove compartment and slipped on their sunglasses, they instantly created their own cinematic scene. It was a delight to witness it happen so naturally.โ
Ellen & Dennis are not the kind of couple to celebrate their wedding day in a traditional way. So when Dennis decided to saber a bottle of champagne with a ski, everyone knew it was going to be a moment to remember. ๐พโท๏ธ
With the stunning mountains of Ischgl as a backdrop, Dennis ready for action and Ellen watching it all unfold with a huge smile, everything came together perfectly in a single frame. Itโs the kind of photo that instantly brings back the atmosphere, the fun, and the adventure of the day.
To have and to hold from this day forward, for better or for worse, for richer, for poorer, in sickness and in health, to love and to cherish.
Just moments before the ceremony, the brideโs sister carefully places the veil. Bathed in soft window light, this intimate moment reflects the love, support, and anticipation that surround a wedding day.
A Thousand Perspectives.
Framed through the bride and groom, a wide-angle perspective layers emotion, reaction, and anticipation into a single frame. The monochrome treatment simplifies the scene, allowing expressions and visual depth to drive the story.
A few minutes before the ceremony, time seemed to slow down. My Bride Elena surrounded by her closest friends, with care, encouragement, and love. Each gesture, each smile, and each final adjustment to the dress became part of a larger story.
I loved the way they looked at each other across the staircase. The light, the curves of the stairs and that genuine smile created a moment that felt both intimate and cinematic.
Agter elke sterk en onafhanklike vrou is โn storie van opstaan nadat die lewe haar probeer platkry het.
- Behind every strong and independent woman is a story of rising up after life tried to pin her down.
Ring between smiles
A shallow depth of field isolates the engagement ring between two genuine smiles, turning a small detail into the focal point. High contrast monochrome enhances texture, intimacy, and the symbolism of the moment.
This felt like stepping into a fairytale for a moment! We wanted to create something a little different for their portraits, and the combination of the boat, the flowers and the reflections on the water came together perfectly.
