One Hundred and Eleventh Collection
For this great guy who bashes the gym on a daily base the wedding shoot was something to look up to. "I don't like to be in photographs", he said. By connecting the dots between his hobby and his challenging remark a nice romantic shot like this was the result. The scenery is a typical Dutch dune & heather park that can be found here and there in The Netherlands.
As the sun casts its golden glow over the ancient rocks of Meteora, this couple embraces amidst the surreal landscape. The majestic rock formations create a breathtaking backdrop, symbolizing the enduring strength and beauty of their union, perfectly captured during their intimate elopement in Greece.
This shot was actually shot at the end of the ceremony while leaving the scene. The master of ceremony who just wedded the couple is giving a consenting last look. The venue is an not widely known, tiny church in Amersfoort NL.

It was the landscape in the background that caught my eye first. I asked the couple if they would be up for climbing up the old spiral staircase and they did. The Bride dress fell perfectly down the stairs. I just liked it was a little different.
This lovely couple was practicing their ceremony pose after the wedding shoot. As a wedding photographer veteran I decided to help them and tweak their pose a little bit, with this image as a result! Winning the award is a plus off course!

I actually wanted to make a silhouet, with them in the shadow and exposed for the darky, creepy sky.
But turning the shutterspeed wheel, I decided to add some light after all.

The mother of the groom wanted te last butten of the shirt close, but there wasn't much space left. The groom had a little wound precisely on the spot of the button and it came between the button and the wound. So that is the expression of much pain.
"In the midst of all the wedding preparations, it's these spontaneous bursts of laughter that make everything worthwhile. This radiant bridesmaid's laughter is a testament to the joy and happiness that surround this special day. Moments like these are a reminder that weddings are not just ceremonies but celebrations of love, friendship, and the beautiful bonds we share. Here's to capturing the magic of laughter and the beauty of cherished moments!"

On my nephew's wedding day at the picturesque Netherbyres House in Eyemouth, Scotland, I had the honor of capturing a truly special moment. The image is striking, with the traditional Chinese red wedding outfits immediately drawing your focus. The rich, vibrant reds contrast beautifully with the elegant surroundings of the historic house, highlighting the cultural significance and joyous celebration of the occasion. The moment encapsulates not just the union of two souls, but also a seamless blend of heritage and tradition, all set against the charming backdrop of Netherbyres House.
