One Hundred and Eleventh Collection
When you marry at Kasteel de Haan in Utrecht you have to take advantage of al the beauty this place has to offer. Like this romantic bridge.
It was very windy this day on the beach in The Netherlands and it already started to rain a little bit, so to avoid the children getting too cold we had to make the photos quick and fun. Therefor we asked to oldest boy to come running to us and he was happy to do this with his dad. His little baby brother laughed as he heard him coming.
Ten months ago, I became a mother and fell in love with baby feet. During the ceremony at Iris and Martijn's wedding, Sammy wanted to be picked up, and my eyes were immediately drawn to those adorable dirty little feet.
There was a forecast of 2% rain on Beth & Stu's wedding day at Jervaulx Abbey. And unfortunately that 2% coincided with the 2% of the day that was their outdoor ceremony. Not to be defeated, we grabbed the clear umbrellas and cracked on!
I’ve made this photo during a stormy day on the Isle of Skye in Scotland. This gorgeous couple was so fun to work with and they didn’t care about the cold or rain. Loved it!
Last year I shot the civil marriage of this beautiful couple and they asked me to also shoot their entire wedding day. It was a wonderful day with wonderful people! The bride came up herself with this pose so this award also belongs to her.
Katie & Ben got married at the beautiful Hedingham Castle in Essex. A Norman Keep that dates back to around 1100, it made the most beautiful backdrop for their wedding pictures. Congratulations Katie & Ben.
Who doesn't love a big vail, they always produce a great shot. This image of Sarah and Dan was made even nicer with a low setting sun.
Amelia & Jordan
So many perfect memories were made at Bawtry Hall back in May this year. Amelia and Jordan had everything to make their wedding day special and one to remember. From saxophone players to garden games, from fountain sparklers to fireworks, this is one wedding I shall not forget in a hurry. I am made up that this beautiful couple made it as one of this months Wedisson winners!
Congratulations - you both so deserve this!
Holmes Mill with it's industrial heritage is a venue with loads of character and unusual places for portraits. This was shot in the pump room. Although it's quite a moody location there is plenty of natural light through the roof. I love the urban vibe of this shot and the grungy type background really made my couple pop.
As the rain moved out, this stunning sunset moved in!! As the couple was walking out into position I kept the camera rolling.
The Netherlands is known for it's cycling, even during weddings we now and then transport ourselves via bike in the city.
This work of art of a dress simply called for a dramatic photo. And all I had to do was tell these two to grab each other - instant fireworks. What a moment, right? 🤩
This fantastic couple wanted a city photo shoot. We went to their home city of Antwerp and took some photos in the metro. The photo was taken handheld with a longer shutter speed with a passing subway car, which produced this nice effect.
I asked some of the men to throw the bride in the air. We both did not expect she would be thrown this high!
Laura and Thierry during their photoshoot before the ceremonie. A friend of the couple had access to a beautiful spot at the harbor of Terneuzen.
Before Anthonie and Lisa get married with friends and family in France, they made their marriage official with an intimate ceremony at the city hall in Rotterdam. There is a beautiful city garden there, where we took this picture!
