This elopement was something special. During heavy Covid restrictions, receptions were not allowed so the bride decided she wanted to use the time and head to the beach after the drinks reception. As the sunset the couple ran into the sunset making this special image.

Summer wedding in a Welsh Oak barn conversion in North Wales, with the bride and groom in evening light placed next to a window for a reflection and I used the planting for the foreground to frame it.
An elopement is a strong and beautiful experience for a beloved couple. An elopement is the perfect way to avoid the long list of prohibited things cause of COVID crisis. They chose to get eloped last year the day they should marry them. Just us, a short and emotional ceremony and a pic-nic. And me to take some photographs!

Sophie and Ralph had a beautiful elegant wedding at The Oakwood at Ryther near York. We had a stunning sunset engagement shoot a few weeks before and Sophie wanted some similar shots on the wedding day but the weather wasn't in agreement! So instead, I used some lighting and off camera flash to recreate the warmth and romantic feel of a sunset and they were thrilled with the results.
The couple met while enrolled at North Central College, and they were so excited to have a photograph taken by Old Main. It was a beautiful day for a beautiful couple.
