One Hundred and Tenth Collection
It was rainy throughout this couple's wedding but they did not shy away and we got some amazing photos.
My couple had told me that the guests were going to let off some bubble guns as they came down the aisle. I got in position and shot off as many frames as I could as they came through. I then cropped and warmed the image to finish it off.
Aston and Lauren's Dreamy Ibiza Wedding
It was a breathtaking late summer day when Aston and Lauren said their vows on the stunning island of Ibiza. After years together, their wedding was a joyous celebration of their love. The ceremony overlooked the crystal blue waters of the Mediterranean, a serene and romantic backdrop. As the couple exchanged heartfelt promises, a gentle breeze added to the enchanting atmosphere. Their nearest and dearest had gathered, faces alight with happiness for the newlyweds.
The festivities continued at the amazing Aiyanna venue, where laughter, music, and dancing filled the air. Aston and Lauren glided across the dance floor, lost in each other's embrace. Guests savoured delectable Mediterranean dishes and refreshing cocktails, toasting to the couple's health and happiness. As the night wore on, the joy and excitement only seemed to grow. The love between Aston and Lauren was palpable, shining in the way they looked at one another.
Why I always ask the happy couple to bring a umbrella, even if it's not raining!
You can do so much fun things with them! Like this photograph!
Taken in the grounds of Aswarby Rectory in Lincolnshire. The hottest day of the year so far. The light was beautiful.
When, miraculously, the sun came through for a moment, we had to look for a dry spot where the couple could sit. Despite the wide view of the beautiful heathland, I opted for the frog's perspective on the desolate tree stump. This makes the couple nicely detached from the environment.
Just the right moment! This bride was doing the final preparations for her wedding day! Ready for the first look. We capture this moment just before the first look at this amazing location.
We endured 4 seasons on their wedding day. I was very grateful to do a part of the photoshoot in the beautiful MAS building in Antwerp. To summarize: my first wedding of this year with a touch of silver and a lot of romance!
During a few bridal portraits as the sun set, we ended up being unexpectedly surrounded by curious bulls! This one wanted to be part of the action and casually wandered into shot as I was framing it.
The pure love between the bride and groom was truly special to capture. From the outdoor ceremony to the kiss on the grass, every moment was a dream to photograph.
This bridesmaid was very shy about walking in the front of the church with the sign that the bride and groom are coming. It seemed like no one saw her except me. She did great.
The father of the groom was really emotional. We love to capture emotional moments like this in black & white.
This was such a fun relaxed day with Charlotte and Rob! We left the wedding party for a bit with a bottle of champagne for a drive and a walk to their favourite dog walking spot! This was one of the lovely photos captured, it was such a laugh!
For this wedding party photo I had the wedding party walk around the bride and groom randomly. I instructed the bride and groom to be as still as possible. I then used a slow shutter (1/4 sec) to get the motion blur of the people walking yet still freeze the bride and groom.
On a beautiful sunny day, with a light breeze rustling the leaves, she stood there in her blinding white dress. But while the world held its breath, she took a deeper breath and followed her heart, running towards a new beginning, a different future. Sometimes the greatest adventure is following your own path, away from the altar and towards yourself.
Harri and Abi were incredibly nervous about having their photos taken and so booked a pre-wedding shoot to get comfortable in front of the camera. By the end of the shoot they felt totally comfortable, and it made an incredibly difference to how they felt having me around on their wedding day, like an old friend, rather than a scary photographer! We were blessed with an incredible golden hour and here's a photo of them looking out over the views at Uphill Nature Reserve, near Weston-Super-Mare.
