Description Miniatures
Steve Barber Canterbury (United Kingdom) Steve Barber Photography @stevebarberweddingphotography

My first time at this amazing venue and and one of my favourite images from the wedding day. This room was screaming for a portrait so I pulled the couple away for 5 minutes and put this image together using a single flash with an orange gel and used the surface of the long dinning table to help provide the awesome reflection. Simple and effective! Show more

This photograph was taken in Gorleston, Norfolk. We used 4 godox flashes to illuminate the bandstand, one from the back, one from above the couple with a large octagon fitted and two pointed at the roof with different coloured gels. Show more

Another photo taken in Thailand during a wedding. This time on the island of Koh Samui. Meanwhile, I accompany quite a lot of weddings of European couples abroad, which is not much more expensive than when I accompany a wedding in Europe. My passion for special places is often reward enough. Show more

I think its really important to have your own style and identity as a photographer and using colour gels simply compliment the way i like to shoot, this image just came to me while passing a stunning oak tree in the grounds of the venue. The red pop of colour against the blue hue in the skyline worked perfecly. Another happy client! Show more

This picture was taken at a wedding in Essex, England. The bride and groom had just left the church and were driving to their reception. I asked the bride to hold her bouquet up as she went past. I used a slow shutter speed 1/20 sec to create a sense of movement as they went past. Show more

Without wanting to advertise; the bridal couple shooting took place in a wonderful park. If you like to drink Thai beer, you will know very quickly where this photo was taken. Show more

I always wanted to do a close up portrait with a wider lense. Usually I often use my 75mm or 85mm lens for the couple portraits but there is this special and very intimate look, when you're using a wider lens.

So I started as usual with my session, and I recognized, that there was a lot of love in the air. In that particular moment, I grabbed my second camera (with my 35mm on it), went two steps closer to them and took the shot.

When they opened their eyes they were a little bit suprised to see me that close, but I think it was totally worth it. Show more
