Eighty-Fifth Collection
Again and again I am allowed to shoot wedding couples around the world. This year I was able to accompany two couples in Thailand - one in Chiang Rai, where this photo was taken. Without wanting to advertise; the bridal couple shooting took place in a wonderful park. If you like to drink Thai beer, you will know very quickly where this photo was taken.
Ring of fire! I'd been waiting a while for the right conditions to try this technique out. I set up my composition first then played around with different angles to create the desired effect
Venue - Bassmead Manor
This portrait was taken at Chenies Manor in Buckinghamshire, UK. I positioned the bride in beautiful window light and instructed her to look out the window.
I love paris, it is the city of love! This place is a beautifulll rooftop in Paris where you can see the whole city and enjoy sundown.
Kate and Micheál at the beautiful area that is Dungarvan, Co. Waterford. This day was such a mix of weather, from sunshine to stormy downpours! Loved the mood and light of this image!
Photographed in the golden evening light at a barn wedding. The foliage and flowers were used as a foreground frame and the roof as a lead in line and frame. It was shot at a low angle.

This is the best example what you can do with "bad weather". It was slightly raining that evening and everybody was dancing inside when I asked Angelina & Alex if they want to come outside for a quick photoshoot. I explained them what I had in mind and they immidiately said yes. I tested my lighting setup with a guest (so that bride and groom did not have to stand in the rain that long) and then it took my only 30 seconds and two testframes to get the shot.
Thanks to the lovely couple - it was truly worth it.
Soft golden light at the lush grounds at Plas Dinam House in Wales UK. The couple left the path and walked across the fields..couldn't ask for more.
Emma & Andrew being congratulated by all their friends and family before they walk down the isle together at Hoare Cross Hall, Staffordshire
It was a windy day on the southernmost part of the island of La Palma (Canarias). The sun was setting, and our newlyweds were dancing their love away in the salt pans of (Salinas de) Fuencaliente. An ideal setting for an After Wedding session.
This shot took place at the alter just after ceremony. The bride and groom were sharing a moment waiting to do family formals with their dog. I kept focused on the three knowing something special was about to happen.
I think its really important to have your own style and identity as a photographer and using colour gels simply compliment the way i like to shoot, this image just came to me while passing a stunning oak tree in the grounds of the venue. The red pop of colour against the blue hue in the skyline worked perfecly. Another happy client!
It had been raining for most of the day, but during their sunset photoshoot the sun finally burst through. The dramatic clouds in the background and the stunning couple made this photo one of my favourites of the day!
This picture was taken at a wedding in Essex, England. The bride and groom had just left the church and were driving to their reception. I asked the bride to hold her bouquet up as she went past. I used a slow shutter speed 1/20 sec to create a sense of movement as they went past.
Sam and Emily overlook Derbyshire at Surprise View during the golden hour on their wedding day. We had 15 minutes to capture some epic shots overlooking the countryside and views before hot trotting it back to the venue to see their evening guests and have their first dance
Mallorca, April 22. Not a sunny day. It was a cloudy day. In my heart too. I got sick. But those two were amazing. I totally forgot everything. So kind, so nice, so perfect. The place was timeless. I was just rock my the waves and the wind. Just a cuddness time.
Whether it rains and storms - what can spoil your wedding day? At least nothing for this couple. The dress was ruined, the suit wet.... and I was glad my camera was in a plastic bag :-)
I love to be creative and after checking out a few suitable locations after the wedding breakfast, I found the perfect place to create something special for my clients. This was the last photo of the wedding and one im sure they will have on the wall at home for years to come.
This photograph was taken on a jetty on the Norfolk Broads in England using a DJI Phantom 4 pro drone hovering above the couple.
