One Hundred and Fourth Collection
Also this was a very rainy wedding. But I don't mind the rain and if the couple is open, we just go out there and 'do it'
Just before dinner there was this magic 'golden hour'. I obligated the couple to come with me for some shots.
Taken at Harlaxton Manor. My couple took a moment out to relax together and this images just happened. It was just us in a room laughing and I grabbed my camera.
What can I say more. The light was perfect and the bride was walking towards the spot for our shoot, her dress was rippling against the grass and just a perfect photo.
I really love this composition.
The bride was pregnant, the weather very very windy as it was a November wedding, but you can feel the love between this young couple. She was so "bold" and didn't want to wear a coat (and trust me it was freezin' cold due to the hard wind)
Great Malvern Priory for Catherine and Michael's wedding. An off-camera flash to the left and a second flash behind with a blue gel to light the apex.
Finally after the whole day rain, we got a little sunshine to go out and take some awesome pics of these two lovebirds
This was an engagemtn shoot in Flims, Switzerland. I love it, when the trees turn into orange / red. The indian summer in Switzerland;-)
Sabrina is an old friend of mine and a fellow photographer, so I was quite nervous about capturing her wedding to Phil up in Manchester, the venue had a wonderful barn full of ceiling lights that I thought would make a great reflected portrait so I used my phone to bounce the reflection back into the photo!
Sky on fire in Enniscrone with this beautiful couple, we took just a few minutes away from reception and with the beach so close we got a lovely collection of images in front of a moody west of Ireland sunset sky.
St John’s College Cambridge is a majestic building, and the stain glass windows in the Chapel made a perfect backdrop for Barbara and Rupert’s ceremony.
A high viewpoint gave us a unique perspective on this occasion ❤️
We braved the rain and fog during our couple shoot on Halloween. Well worth it for all the autumn colours!
Taken during a sunset pre-wedding shoot in October 2023, this silhouette shows Lois & Tom having fun and being alone on a rocky beach outcrop. I love the colours in this shot and the drama in the sky which is only punctuated by this lovely couple dancing.
This photo was taken at Vienna Woods Hotel in Cork. Right after the ceremony, a strong gust of wind almost swept the bride's veil away.
I absolutely love this shot. My couple wanted their pre wedding session in a place that they love - The Lake District, Cumbria so between us we decided that we'd go to Rannerdale above Buttermere where the bluebells bloom with abandon in May. The weather in the Lakes is notoriously fickle but on this day absolutely everything came together. The sun was shining but we had clouds which added to the drama of the mountains in this stunning part of the UK.
We'd been walking for a while and Sam, the groom was struggling with a sprained ankle so I just said why not have a rest here. As they sat down among the wildflowers I couldn't resist the scene with Melbreak Fell in the distance and my couple snuggled up together so in love among the flowers. Just gorgeous. I photographed their wedding a couple of months later - also in the Lake District.
Taking a classic shoot first. I heard a bridesmaid ask the bride can we throw the flowers at the photographer? I yelled up saying “ this would be such a fun shot” and worth it! No flowers were harmed. Always remember to add fun into your wedding day! This bride was all for it!
As the sun started to dip in the sky in the charming rural village of Cotton we headed out to a nearby field for a peaceful moment to catch the last of the rays amongst the hay bales.
It was all go on Niamh's wedding morning with hair, makeup and content creator vying for space. I tucked myself in behind the bride and waited for everything to fall into place.
They met online, met in person for the first time in South-Africa, and married in the Netherlands. A true international connection.
Wauw, so very happy with an other award.
It was so much fun, making tons of different creative group photo's. All the guests had fun during the shoot and that is just as important as the end result.
