Eighty-Eighth Collection

Sara and Jonas...their marriage was like a fairy tale. Everything went according to plan. A beautiful sunny day, a very nice location for the photo shoot, a very nice ceremony and a wonderful party to finish! With now two awards, their story is complete!

After very intimate wedding ceremony I took my couple for a short walk around grounds of stunning Barnabrow House in County Cork. While we were coming down the beautiful steps I just said 'Peter you may now kiss your bride' and he did it eagerly.

We capture some images at the back of the hotel which is located closer to the water as the sun was setting. On our way back into the hotel i suggested we try one image outside to include the hotel into the sunset..

Letting the Dress Fly is always Fun. The Maid of honor was supporting me with this shot and with the serial images. When I noticed the funny move of the Maid of honor I showed them the pictures and they all wanted a GIF out of it. The next morning I sendet them the GIF and this one definitive made their day.

I whisked Kiera & Joey off to one of my favourite secret locations in Staffordshire for their pre-wedding shoot. The light was lovely and soft in the evening and in this shot we got Cannock Chase in the distant background. Kiera and Joeys met in China whilst Kiera was working there and Joey moved to the uk to marry his love - soo romantic!

This was captured using my new 50mm 1.2, whilst capturing this couples portrait session, I noticed some wonderful flowers with beautiful colours in the venues gardens which I knew would work as great foreground bokeh. I asked the couple to get close and intimate with one another and this wonderful moment was captured!

This was the moment when Sophie & Jeffrey just arrived at the wedding venue where their family and friends were going to see them for the first time. And the bride's look says it all , she couldn't wait to show what a beautiful bride she was.

I knew this wedding was going to fun filled when the bride told me they were having a rodeo bull at the reception and it certainly proved to be the case when almost everyone in the wedding party had a go!
I was definitely in the right place at the right time to get this shot as the bride came flying off it almost knocking one of her bridesmaids over in the process.

With a path worn out, I asked Ben and Miranda to go play in the light that was piercing through the trees at the end of this magical area.
Asking the bride and groom to have a moment together….This is what they gave me. It was one of those goosebump moments knowing I had just captured something special!

Simplicity. It is an element I always try to capture. Very often the bride and groom are busy during the day with the guests, and don't have much time for eachother. Frequently the wedding reportage is the first moment of the day where the bride and groom can have a precious moment together. That's why the start of every wedding reportage with me starts with simplicity: just take some time together. Walk away from me, talk to one another, kiss and hug, whatever you feel or need. It brings out the purest moments, and I love capturing these delicate moments. Add a beach and golden hour, and nothing more is needed for a stunning image.

This wedding dress asked for lots of dancing. The materials and the wind are a perfect combination. And look at this location and sky, isn't it amazing?

This wedding was very special for me because it was in Denmark and I could not speak or understand Danish. But everyone could speak English as well and so I could ask a few girls to help the bride with her preparations for her big day. I placed them just in front of the window to get this beautiful classic image.

An international beach wedding in Noordwijk, NLD where guest from several countries (Germany, UK and Namibia) celebrated the love of an amazing couple.

The sky was vibrant and glowing and I couldn't resist capturing a stunning silhouette as the sun came down in the perfect place between the trees.

One of my favourite go to spots in Norwich, UK. When our couple wanted to capture something that represents Norwich City, what can be better than the Norwich Cathedral and the Jarrold Bridge!

Rose and Charlie were a super relaxed couple! Was great to experience their energy and vibe. Lovely to see genuine happiness. I always try to capture a couples character and personality, whilst keeping it natural and relaxed at all times.

Golden hour always delivers! This shot was one of a few bridal portraits taken in that good light, I just happened to get lucky enough for a gust of wind to blow the veil to complete this image.

This photograph was taken in March 2022, in Kinsale, Co.Cork, Ireland. The mast is situated directly opposite Actons Hotel, where the reception was being held. I had photographed couples at the mast before, but luckily, the Christmas lights were still in place so it added an extra element to the photo.

This was such a fun day. We started the day at the Hof in Bergen, the Netherlands. A great idea that this couple had was giving each other a gift behind a door, without seeing each other before doing the first look. After the first look we went to Bergen aan Zee, the Netherlands where we strolled on the beach. The weather was just perfect. Not cold and cloudy. Sharon and Jeffrey were amazing to work with.

When your couple are both teachers, you just have to do something with all the kids. So why not have them run around the newlyweds and create a fun portrait? I just love to do stuff like this.

What a day it was! Sunny wedding and an amazing couple. Some clients are good clients.
Some clients are amazing clients. And a tiny part of them become friends ...

Meet my new friends

I had spotted the yellow rapeseed field on the way to venue. I was photographing bridal prep when the flowers arrived and thought what a perfect match...

These two cuties were playing on the church grounds just after the ceremony. I took this shot of the two of them and when I showed it to them both she said with a big smile “I look like a marshmallow!”

We love to get creative with our couples! When this couple wanted to go out in the dark and create something cool we didnt hesitate for one second. Using ambient light from the decorartion on the bridge we had just enough light to set right mood!

Irene & Gianni had the most beautiful Greek wedding ceremony followed by this explosive confetti shot as they left the 12 Apostles Church. The whole day was just amazing !

Getting ready in the sleeping room of her parents. Away from the chaotic hair and make-up room. Just some quit time alone for the mother of the bride and het daughter. Such a special moment together!

Up Up in the Sky. And respect for the groom, smiling while taking off off into the clouds.
The friends had no mercy on the bridegroom and made him look frighteningly high. Sometimes I also got scared because the "safety net" was very sketchy. But we all survived and ist was definitely a lot of fun.
