a good example of a quick evening portrait. Lighting the couple using a video light and shooting through some table decorations gave the image some foreground boka. Stood against the Christmas tree you cant tell that this was a room full of people!

After dinnertime we took the bride and groom outside to shot some more photos. Because of C their wedding was a lot shorter then it used to be, so we wanted to take some extra stunning pictures!

The venue had a wall of fairy lights all the way down a corridor and I knew I wanted to use them in a photo somehow so I positioned the couple at the end of the hall and lit them with a flash and used the lights in the foreground to create the bokeh effect. Their wedding was in November - but they had sun and blue skies the whole day so I wanted to give them something with a bit of magical and wintery feel too.

The ring with no beginning and no end represents eternal love... This couple thankfully braved the rain after their first dance so we could go and get a coupe of night time photos!

This image was captured all in-camera using a crystal placed in front of my 35mm lens. I simply exposed for the hanging lights in the scene, placed the crystal in front of the lens, and popped a gridded flash onto the couple to make them stand out in the darkness.

Outside the wedding venue were Christmas lights, which I wished to incorporate into the image in a creative way. Using the Christmas lights alone would have been a little boring, and safe, and I knew the crystal would help create something special, and unique.

I absolutely love the way the crystal turned the hanging Christmas lights into fireworks!

Felt like just turning around and facing the wild Atlantic, shows no matter what comes for this couple, no matter what life throws at them, as long as they are together, they can face anything. The stunning Valentia Island in Co Kerry,, Madie & Dean and the beautiful rugged landscape.. Kerry is known as the Kingdom, and it truly is a gift if you ever get a chance to shoot down this way,, We had plans to go down onto the rocks, But wind picked up that day and it just was not safe to do so...

I spotted this girl asking her family to check out her skills on a space hopper. I noticed a gap in the middle of those watching and positioned myself just behind the onlookers. The bouncing girl lined up perfectly and the people watching framed everything nicely.

Due to many of the groom’s family members not being able to travel over to the UK from Belgium, the couple ended up holding a virtual reception in the afternoon as well as their drinks reception, meaning we had no time to get outside for portraits whilst we still had daylight. So, after exhausting the many beautiful parts of the venue in the evening, I set myself the challenge of creating something out of nothing.
To create this shot, I took a selection of glassware from the bar, lit it with two gridded and gelled lights, and shot through them at a shallow aperture to make the foreground bokeh. I then placed another gridded and gelled light behind the couple and aimed it at the wall to create the ball of light so they would become silhouetted.
The couple were over the moon with the result, and it ended up being my favourite shot from the day.

It was a windy day on the southernmost part of the island of La Palma (Canarias). The sun was setting, and our newlyweds were dancing their love away in the salt pans of (Salinas de) Fuencaliente. An ideal setting for an After Wedding session.

This is a true documentary shot. Nothing is staged, and it took a split second decision to take this photo. At this wedding there were three stunning bridesmaids, and they truly lived up to their roles. The bride and groom drove, together with the bridesmaids, in a beautiful oldtimer to the church and parked the car right in front of the church. When two of the bridesmaids went to check out the car, I did not hesitate to capture this photo. Light was harsh, but it creates the beautiful contrast between the white dresses and the car.

I love light rays and autumn is the season to see them. We were quite early in the morning for the formal photoshoot and we got rewarded by a stunning display of sunrays everywhere. A bit confused where to place the couple I also knew I had to be fast; it could be gone in minutes. But I was lucky to photograph in these circumstances for about ten minutes or so before it vanished.

From the day you walked into my life,
you're all i think about, you're the reason I keep smiling
even when you're not around just by recalling the moments
spent with you. You're the stars in my sky. I wouldn't want
this any other way. You're the love of my life.
I always remind my couples that they need to enjoy each other and spend moments together to take it all in, I usually encourage this in the evenings where I can then capture some stunning images without them really seeing me.
Taking a moment to get away from the crowd at sunset and just be with each other under the mossy oaks. I highly recommend setting aside some time for you and your partner to be alone and reflect on the day before it's over.

As in a fairy tale, the couple is always the most important thing in a love story and if you add a beautiful place, the story becomes more real.

I think the contrast between a dilapidated, vanishing location is very inspiring for many photographers.
On the one hand something slowly passes - on the other hand something new is emerging: a young family and everything that grows out of it. These opposites always give wedding pictures a little story.
