Sixty-Second Collection
When you do wedding photography there are always couples that you get along with from the first moment. Partly for his character and partly for his willingness to help you. J&P are one of those couples who want everything to be perfect, who have the same illusion as you and that as a photographer motivates you infinitely. For them, I only have words of thanks and a very important part of this award I owe to them.
The salt mines of Krakow is a fairytale place, the bride's dress was great to capture the moment and be able to move to Disney tales where the princesses dance for the guests to see, I am still fascinated by the beauty of the place .
At Chateau Balmoral near the city of Spa (Belgium) this lovely and gorgeous looking couple Peter and Claudia spent a mesmerizing wedding weekend. Although we did most of the photoshoot in de valley below, we figured the pool of the castle offered a great setting for a fun shot as well.
Peter and Claudia turned out to be great daredevils...the side of the pool only offered about 30 centimeters to stand on and on the backside, it's a deep gap down (as you can see the top of the trees)! No problem, Peter even pushed his luck balancing on one leg. Great posers!
We're extremely honored with this 10th Wedisson. Many thanks to all!
The light just appeared perfectly behind the groom's head, and I luckily managed to capture it as they had this stolen moment, I think just adding a little bit of magic to the scene.
The bride wanted an image to showcase the magical wedding dress, I found this staircase within an old manor....it was truly a fairytale wedding!!!
These stairs at the venue intrigued me. There was a bit sunlight through the windows on the right side of the group so I used external flash for the left side of the group. Downstairs also an external flash for the couple. Venue: Zalmhuis Rotterdam, The Netherlands
Atlas - The Belchite's ruins are the place we chose to do the post-wedding with Jennyfer and Oscar. We really enjoyed this emblematic and historic enclave to make your fantasy report.
With the wonderful long driveway and views over the local countryside, we took a few moments away from everyone to celebrate being married and created some wonderful photographs.
This image was shot just before the first look. Alle the wedding guests were standing in line and the groom was with his back to the crowd. The bride got very very excited.
I absolutely love this image. Showcases a bit of fun which is what I like to do. I had the couple hold hands and go for a run across the hill. Perfect timing to freeze them in the middle all whilst holding my phone to the bottom of the lens for the reflection.
I think this moment just looks very intimate. I made the reflection directly during the shot. No photoshop afterward. I like these reflections because they give the picture more depth and expression!
It poured down with rain most of the day for Amy & Matt but this didn't deter them from heading out to get this shot. They wanted something dramatic and the rain was very welcome!
It was not a fair-weather day last September, but a great location for this nice couple. The modern Hyatt Hotel with the reflecting pool is situated in the famous Medienhafen in Duesseldorf, Germany, a great place with a lot of different great views. Because of the cold weather, we went only for 20 minutes out of the hotel for the couple shooting. Most of the pictures I took, I had before the shooting in my head.
During the photoshoot, it was so windy outside that we had to find shelter in a local bar. This place created a fitting scene for one of my favorite shots of the day. Fun fact was that they actually had met in a bar, so this added extra meaning to the image.
Maurice & Ilsa got married in an area where we had lots and lots of flowers. So a short stop at these flower fields to make some lovely pictures with this great couple was a must. Thanks, Wedisson for once again honoring our work with an award!
A rainy day wedding would not stop this couple from capturing their love. We shot through the rain, cold, and high winds. At the end of it, all this turned out to be one of my favorite wedding shoots ever!
In the middle of the fields in Gruyere, C&F have just said YESSS!!! A beautiful outgoing of the ceremony, between bubbles and applause. They lead the cocktail to share this loving time with the beloved ones in this amazing mountain scenery.
Arwen & Jason got married at the wonderfully quirky and unique Missing Sock in Newmarket Cambridgeshire. So many awesome photo opportunities are on hand at this amazing fun venue. This wedding was a massive family affair with so many heartfelt moments. Arwen and Jason were open to endless suggestions to make some wonderful memories of this wonderful day. Thank you for having me on board!
This black and white photo was represents the real love between this couple. Because of a terminal disease in there family they had to marry on short notice. But the love that I felt that day was so intense en beautiful!
This picture was taken near an airport, in front of an aircraft hangar. It takes no more than two loving people. I like it to minimize the essence of a wedding to the bare minimum.
Golf courses have their benefits for wedding venues, the open space is great for after dark portraits. I found this composition that I like with the trees adding some texture to the image. I pulled out some stars with long exposure and a low powered burst of flash on Emma & Glenn made them pop.
During the Covid19 period I was so happy that this wedding continued. It was a small one, only with first family and we did the weddingshoot at the Mammut Tree in the Ledeboerpark in Enschede, a quiet place during this period. It was a cloudy day and with two flashes we create this one.
Nina & Daniel on the top of a tower, maybe 60 meters high. The very very hot day these times in Germany in the western area. But better too hot, than too cold, right ;-)?
I noticed this one tree and my first thoughts were that this is where I'd like to make a silhouette. Sun was already set but there was a bit of light left. My couple also had a dog and my assistant was walking around with him while we were shooting. Guess all together they make a picture whole.
This photo was taken in a fabulous forest, the path creates the image's escape line, focusing the gaze on the subjects. thus creating a symmetrical picture.
When this great couple got ready I was allowed to take this photo .. I wanted to take such a picture for a while and with these rooms next to each other here was my chance :) shot with my Tamron 17-28!
Confetti is the best shower you can take! I absolutely love this part of a wedding day. It’s magical and celebratory! It brings it all together and makes for a magical shot.
Lauren and Matt.
It was a bit of a rainy day in a small town in the east of the Netherlands. I was walking around at an abandoned shipyard with this sweet duo, saw this broken window, and decided to go for a sort of voyeuristic approach. I like the contrast between the old, deteriorated surroundings and the young, pretty couple!
Ce couple de jeunes mariés de printemps ont voulu profiter des couleurs d'automne pour remettre leur tenue et aller s'amuser dans les vagues pour prolonger l'insouciant été qu'ils ont passé ensemble, en tant que Monsieur et Madame.
