It’s an incredible honor that nearly 150 couples have trusted me to capture their wedding day. If you're looking for a photographer who loves real, spontaneous moments, I might just be the one for you. One of the best compliments I’ve received: "We barely noticed you were there!" I hope to keep working with many more couples in the future, providing them with tangible memories of one of the most special days in their lives. I’ve been fascinated by photography for as long as I can remember. After finishing high school in 2001, I went on to study at the Fotoacademie, located on the beautiful Prinsengracht in Amsterdam. Back then, I was shooting with my (analog) Minolta 7000, constantly chasing beautiful images — and when I wasn’t out shooting, you could find me in the darkroom developing and printing my own film. I also had a side job at Cameraland (then called Foto Kiekie) in Alkmaar, where I learned image editing with Photoshop and how to operate and maintain lab equipment. After the Minolta 7000, I switched to the Nikon F90 — an absolute top camera, although it doesn’t really fit in this digital age anymore. When digital photography took off, I went in search of a new favorite (digital) camera. I started my professional career with the Canon 5D Mark II. The switch to Canon was mainly practical — most of my photography colleagues were already using Canon, making it easier to share gear. For 7 years (starting in 2017), that workhorse helped me grow into a better photographer. Now, another shift is happening in the world of digital photography. DSLRs with flip-up mirrors are old news; mirrorless cameras are the standard. My new beauty — the Canon R5 Mark II — is ready to take over, and I hope it will serve me just as well as its predecessors, who are now happily retired and resting in my display case. Shall we grab a coffee sometime? Cheers, Evelien

Hi there! I'm Jacqueline from Suja Photography. Suja Photography stands for true love. I'm a real people person, passionate about sports and nature. I'm also a hard worker with a touch of perfectionism—I love getting things done. When you reach out, you’ll always get a reply. I respond super quickly! I always photograph weddings together with a second photographer. I do this for you—so you’ll have photos of both “getting ready” moments and both of your reactions during the first look. Too beautiful not to capture from both sides! So much happens on a wedding day, and with two photographers, you simply see more. That way, all those beautiful moments are captured. My photography and editing style can be described as warm, pure, and natural. You’ll find my pricing clearly listed on my website. The package includes the second photographer, a wedding album, and travel costs. As a people person, I completely understand that you’re not in front of a camera every day. I’ll make you feel at ease from the moment we start. I’m calm, attentive to you, your surroundings, and the little details. You won’t need to pose constantly—I know exactly how to catch your genuine expressions by giving you small, spontaneous prompts. This keeps the atmosphere relaxed throughout your big day. And best of all? You’ll get photos full of real moments, overflowing with love and joy.
