Een trouwdag is een aaneenschakeling van grote beloftes, maar de echte magie zit vaak in de momenten die je niet kunt regisseren. Als partner van mijn grote liefde en moeder van twee, weet ik hoe waardevol het is om de verbinding tussen mensen écht te vangen. Geen geposeerde rijtjes, maar die ene blik van je vader vlak voor het ja-woord of de slappe lach tijdens de borrel. Ik zoek naar de beelden die vertellen hoe jullie dag écht voelde, in al zijn puurheid en spontaniteit. Mijn hart gaat sneller kloppen van verhalende fotografie. Of ik nu een bruiloft vastleg, een zwangerschap of een 'day in the life' bij een gezin aan de keukentafel: ik ben er om de vanzelfsprekendheden zichtbaar te maken. Juist die kleine, ongefilterde momenten laten zien wat er werkelijk toe doet. Ik geloof niet in perfectie voor de buitenwereld. Ik geloof in de liefde die aanwezig is in de chaos, de emotie en het écht samen zijn. Die visie is geworteld in mijn eigen jeugd; ik heb ervaren dat je niets tekortkomt als er oprechte aandacht voor elkaar is. Dat gevoel van 'gezien worden' is wat ik mijn eigen kinderen meegeef, en wat ik voor jullie wil vastleggen op jullie trouwdag.
