Full time wedding photographer based in Rotterdam, the Netherlands.
I combine documentary styled wedding photography with creative out-of-the-box posed images. Couples book me because they want their wedding photographed beautifully in the way it actually was, but at the same time also want a few of those images that really stand out due to their creativity.

At the end of the evening, I managed to convince this awesome couple to leave the dance floor for just one minute to capture them in the reception room with this chandelier. Showing them the result directly from the camera they were really happy with the result
52nd CollectionThis awesome couple lives near these cube-shaped houses in the center of Rotterdam and absolutely love them. During this shoot, I wanted to create an abstract image where at first sight you are unclear at what you were looking at. I am very glad they absolutely loved the result also.
51st CollectionWhen the couple suggested this place for the shoot before the ceremony I was very pleased to see on Google Earth that there was this honeycomb-pattern which could be seen from the sky. Needless to say, I packed my drone :)
49th CollectionThis amazing couple said they wanted to jump into the pool instead of having an opening dance. On an incredibly hot summer day, this was the perfect way to get the party started. Soon most guests joined them (including me of course!).
48th CollectionThis is the best thing with working with amazing couples like this! Often you can feel what kinds of shoots the bride and groom are open to. They were joking around all day and were very receptive to this idea. I am really happy that they absolutely love the final result.
47th CollectionThis wedding location had a crazy lighting structure on the second floor. I felt it was best to make use of their silhouettes and light up the background to have it complement the red strips of light.
47th CollectionFor some time now I had the idea to shoot a couple quite tiny amidst a big urban location. Central Station of the city of Rotterdam provided the ideal opportunity. Shot from a higher vantage point, with my assistant holding the flash provided the extra pop that made the couple stand out from the scenery.
47th CollectionTaken in the beautiful old center of Delft, the Oostpoort is a favorite place for couples to pose during their wedding day. Since there were many people biking there and I wanted to do something a little different this idea quickly came to mind. It only took a few shots to get it right with the timing of the elderly couple.
46th CollectionThe nephews of the groom spent an entire day polishing this beautiful old-timer. As the couple absolutely loved their wedding car, it only felt fitting to create a shot like this at dusk.
46th CollectionOn a rainy wedding day in Leiden, we went into this old fort where we could take shelter from the rain. The place felt like an ideal location for a shot like this! :)
45th CollectionThis is at the back of the building where this couple got married.
I saw the architecture and loved how the shape could beautifully contradict with the couple.
Having my assistant point the flash at the couple to create the shadows on the wall, really enhanced the overall feel.
This couple lives by the sea in Scheveningen, The Hague and are really passionate surfers.
During a warm summer day we had a shoot during sunset, which really portrays their love for surfing, the sea and each other.
The moment I walked into the room to shoot the getting-ready of the bride, this 3-legged Sphynx cat was staring straight at me. I immediately got this "Lord of the Rings" feel, so the idea to shoot this image naturally came to mind.
44th CollectionThis amazing bulldog (called Yoda) was so curious that he wanted to get as close to the lens as possible. Taken at 16mm, about 10 centimeters away from his nose :)
44th CollectionWithout any seeming effort these groomsmen made the groom fly really high. I had never seen a groom be this relaxed and enjoy this as much as he did. Love the expression on all the men's faces!
43rd CollectionOn the hottest wedding day of this year this awesome couple decided to jump into the pool fully dressed in their suit and wedding dress. Most of the guests jumped in right after and of course I joined them!
43rd CollectionWhen driving up to this location (a huge parking lot without markings), I already saw this shot. Love it when couples allow me to take some non-traditional shots at their wedding. We waited until after sunset and then shot this from a ladder with a 16mm lens to enhance the effect of the shadows.
40th CollectionWe were hoping for a beautiful sunset at the beach, but unfortunately it was totally overcast that day. Since they had a really bad-ass Defender (in which the bride herself drove bare-feet in her wedding dress) I thought taking this shot fit the moment really well.
