Marnix de Stigter
Full time wedding photographer based in Rotterdam, the Netherlands.
I combine documentary styled wedding photography with creative out-of-the-box posed images. Couples book me because they want their wedding photographed beautifully in the way it actually was, but at the same time also want a few of those images that really stand out due to their creativity.

In this shot, the beautiful brass door of the Laurenskerk in the city of Rotterdam played a central role. The cold winter weather combined with the warm light behind the couple made for a nice contrast.
68th CollectionThis wedding couple got married in the beautiful city of Gouda. With the sun already a bit lower, the iconic city hall was the perfect background for a short shoot.
68th CollectionDuring a short posing session after this amazing outdoor wedding ceremony, I had to incorporate the beautiful backdrop in the image. I used the mountain top in the top left to balance the couple out in the lower right. I love the strong look of the bride in this image.
68th CollectionThis awesome destination wedding allowed for some extra time for after wedding shoots. With the sun setting in this beautiful place, the backdrop created the perfect image for a posed shot.
67th CollectionJust a few moments after the sun had set behind the trees we took a moment for some shots which showed the beautiful environment where this couple got married. To emphasize the dramatic blue skies I used a mirrored surface to give the image a more dreamy feel.
66th CollectionThis was just before this couple went downstairs to walk into the big hall with all their friends and family for the ceremony. This place had beautiful chandeliers which warm light contrasted nicely with the cooler natural light which fell on the couple.
66th CollectionIn the old mansion where this couple got married, we found an office with interesting lighting tubes above the table. I instantly knew I wanted to do something with them in an abstract way. I placed the couple with a flash with yellow gel behind them to get this dreamy effect.
65th CollectionAt the end of this beautiful wedding day, I saw the hallway to the place where their car was parked and just had to take this image. I love their poses and how the image turned out.
64th CollectionThis amazing couple trusted me to take wedding shots in the weirdest of places, such as here in the bathroom. It is awesome to have so much trust from clients that they are willing to let me take these kinds of shots :)
64th CollectionThis lovely couple got married in the mountains of Rio de Janeiro and had a wonderful outside wedding. Once the wedding ceremony was finished the were congratulated with rows of their friend and family on each side, that threw Rosemary leaves. Love the authentic emotions of this moment.
63rd CollectionThis lovely couple wanted to do the wedding shoot in an urban area of their home town. When walking around I saw this awesome red biking path, that I just had to incorporate into the image. The arrows and the reflection in the steel on the side adds extra strength to the image :)
63rd CollectionDuring the photoshoot, it was so windy outside that we had to find shelter in a local bar. This place created a fitting scene for one of my favorite shots of the day. Fun fact was that they actually had met in a bar, so this added extra meaning to the image.
62nd CollectionThis wedding on the island of Terschelling in the Dutch Waddenzee allowed for a short trip into the dunes. The dark cloud and the vast landscape create for a dramatic scene, which both the couple and myself absolutely loved :)
62nd CollectionAt sunset, we held a short photoshoot with this wedding couple. Taken in the city center of Woerden in the middle of the Netherlands, the light was just perfect for a beautiful silhouette shot with the church in the background.
61st CollectionJust after this couple got married we did a short shoot at the chapel where they had taken their vows. The light was just right and with a flash behind the bride and groom, we were able to complete the image :)
61st CollectionAt this location there were turning walls with mirrors which made for an awesome opportunity to have both the bride and the groom visible multiple times. It was however quite the challenge to not have the two flashes or myself in one of the reflections :) After a few tries we found the ideal angle which made for this image!
60th CollectionAt this beautiful location in Belgium this couple got married, so after the ceremony when the light was hitting the back of the chapel and the trees this way it was the most natural place to take a few portraits. Both the couple and me where very happy with the result! :)
60th CollectionThe lights in this building really stood out the moment we walked in. This couple was so great to work with, so taking the escalator a few times to get the perfect composition was no problem whatsoever :)
59th CollectionWe started this couple's pre-wedding shoot at their home. When I arrived I saw the amazing big windows with the trees in the reflection, so this idea came into mind. We are really happy about how it turned out!
59th CollectionThis wedding couple decided to get married in winter because all the important dates in their relationship had been in winter. They really wanted snow, but unfortunately, the weather was too high. So to get the winter-like feel they had a big snow machine outside their wedding venue. This, of course, was the perfect place for a photoshoot!
