Wedding of three, Abel, Irene and little Edna let me share with them one of the best love stories. Children always have an added bonus to my photographs and in this case it was surprising the excitement with which Edna lived every moment with her parents, from beginning to end. A photo that will become one of the ones that make up my little great collection, one of which splurges the pure innocence and happiness of our childhood.
If I’m lucky enough to shoot your wedding (and you’re thinking of a pre-wedding shoot) I’ll always ask you to think big! Kaiyan & Xiao went big - and we ended up driving over to Wells-next-the-Sea in Norfolk (in the UK) to shoot some epic sunset portraits. This gorgeous image was taken just as the sun was going to sleep, framed perfectly by the iconic Norfolk beach huts :)
As a kitesurfer, the beach is one of my favorite places to be. Today I had a bride and groom who kitesurf too. I captured this surf-couple on their spot in Holland. It was at the end of the day; the sea was nice and calm and the only company was little birds at the seaside. A very dreamy surrounding for o lovely romantic shot.
A stormy day in June on the lovely island Terschelling (Netherlands). With a wind force 10 it was a challenge to take pictures on the deserted beach. But we took the chance and made this lovely picture.
Thanks, Wedisson for selecting this picture. Check out more of this couple on www.maaikefotografie.com
I had taken Carl and Rowan off for portraits, but as they were so much fun, I just told them to mess around and do whatever they wanted! What followed was a good ten mins of laughter and eventually Carl convinced Rowan he was going to give her a piggyback and it was hilarious :-)
This shot was taken at the cocktail party post wedding. The venue had a natural pond under a huge banyan tree. I could see a clear reflection of the tree! I thought why not use natural reflection and get a great shot! The tree is also adding more beauty to the shot!
The Gorgeous Engagement Session, done during the Golden Hour on the Beautiful beach in South Australia.
The gorgeous couple Jess and Dave were amazing to work with! And we had some great laughs and a really fun time! Can not wait to photograph their wedding later this year! Bring in November!! Congratulations Guys!!!
This feeling that hung in the air made us contact, not only eye contact but also emotional contact. We took the photo just before the end of the session. I remember that the wind increased and thanks to him I had some nice shots. I love bw photos so here is it. Thank you for choosing this one.
In this line of work, we get to see some of the most beautiful sights but this one here completely took our breath away. To get the resplendent backdrop but also give the limelight to the client and balance it tonight lights was totally worth how this picture turned out.
Whilst out during the day exploring the woodland at Shotton Grange, a small North East country house wedding venue, the couple and I came across a beautiful ancient chestnut tree with a lovely old rope swing, and I just knew we'd have to come back after dark to capture a stunning nighttime portrait. The image is lit with two speedlights, one behind the couple, and one off-frame to the left on low power to illuminate the canopy of the tree. This was by far my favorite shot of the whole wedding, full of drama and eerie beauty.
This horse was so special to the bride. You can see the special connection in the eye of the horse. The reflection is extra if you ask me.... Sadly the horse passed away shortly after the wedding, so the picture has become even more special an precious to all of us.
This wonderful couple did their loveshoot at my favourite place, the dunes in Holland. They where the cutest.
Their little boy was with them all the time. We visited her grandparents right after this shoot, for he was just released from the hospital and to weak to visit their wedding. So sweet and loving
