Eighty-Third Collection
One of the last weddings in last season. Ecxausted and dizzy weather. The bride waiting to give life to a baby, the broom praude and full of joy. The forrest right next to the bay of Eckernförde, Germany. So, therefore we've landed on a comforting pose in a wet forrest. I love contrasts! Thankx for this honour!!!
Foto nocturna en la plaza San Marcos de Venecia. Siempre el Blanco y negro da algo diferente a la fotografía. Gracias Natalia y Pedro por compartir este viaje con nosotros.
This was the last image from the portrait session. I managed to place the couple between the trees so they can be visualised perfectly.
Using just simple window light, I was able to create this dramatic image. This is what I love about photography, being able to create something magical out of nothing.
The couple was posed under an umbrella in the dark and lit with a Speedlight from behind pointing up at the umbrella, this, in turn, lit up the rain. The foliage was used as a frame
Oh wow! This black & white beauty is of Brittaney & Daniel on their rainy, snowy day from the middle of February this year; under the fairy lights of Elsham Hall. No extra lighting necessary for this one... it was all there for them at this stunning venue set in the heart of North Lincolnshire. Their spirits were not dampened that day.
Amy & Tom's pre-wedding shoot. This beach on the Wirral, England has incredible sunsets. Amy & Tom are lit by an OCF flash - probably on 1/128 power with a mag-grid, allowing me to lower the exposure of the overall image to try and preserve some of the sun's highlights.
This Dutch bride showed her Austrian groom the Zeeland coast, and it looks like they had a great time during their bridal shoot!
Driving to the venue, I quickly did a google search of my surrounding's as the sun was setting, I noticed there was a pier on the way down to the venue, Called the driver of the old vintage car and told him to meet me at this pier.. It was quiet cold and just had finished raining, So I had my couple stand out for but a minuet, Underexposed and used a magbox with two ad200 pros and quater cto gels to pop a little soft light on my couple...
Cant beat a bit of a first look...
Originally set this up for the father of the bride, but ended up getting a great reaction from the bridesmaids.
A simple shot taken through the Mother of the Brides HAT as she admired her daughters. Loved how it framed the Bride and Bride of honour and created she white whirly bokeh, a bit of variety added to their group photos.
Gemma and Sam were the perfect bride and groom. You can see that they love each other by the look in their eyes. I have had the privilege to capture their images and create the one above in a dark environment by adding lots of colour and light.
This was taken on a wedding workshop with the fantastic Neil Redfern at Eaves Hall.
The image was made in almost pitch black conditions outdoors utilising 3 ocf lights to light the subjects, create the sunset and light the bush in the foreground to create the bokeh with a red gel.
I think I've said it before.... I love bokeh!
The beautiful gardens at Abbeywood Estate provided just the thing to add a touch of softness to the foreground in this shot.
As soon as I saw the gorgeous "hot" colour scheme I had this scene in my head and I'm really pleased at how it turned out.
We got so lucky with the golden hour light at Lily & Charlie’s wedding, considering we’d had a little rain earlier in the day. I’m always looking for symmetry and leading lines in my compositions, and the paths at pergola at The Secret Garden always lend themselves nicely to this. I used the sunlight to rim light the couple and had a flash with a small octabox to fill in the shadows on their faces. The sun’s flare was just an added bonus!
A quiet moment of movement in our capital city of Valletta... As soon as I saw the elderly lady going up the stairs I noted the elegance of the wedding couple contrasting so well with the old city vibes.
Timing was everything for this photo. Sunsets can be very unknowing but on this evening the sunset was in full glory. The groom drove his tractor into place overlooking their farm, as I set up my lighting and called cows closer. The sunset was beginning to produce these absolute amazing colors. Quickly getting couple into the tractor I began capturing the “farmland love”.
I am going to be the wedding photographer of this lovely couple. They also decided to book a pre-wedding/engagement shoot, as the period before the wedding is also very exciting and special. The location of the photoshoot is where they will exchange vows and become husband and wife, so romantic!
I personally love sunflares in photo's, and I on purpuse used some flare to create a dreamy and romantic atmosphere.
This photo was taken seconds after opening the door and having their very own first look moment! It was such an emotional en beautiful moment. I could feel the nerves of the bride change into relieve to finally see and hold her husband to be.
My couple wanted their photo session in the forest. It was the last day of August and we arrived there quite early in the morning. The sun created a beautiful 'splash' of light rays so I only had to lead the couple into the right place and I could take this photo!
Dhaval & Ashi really wanted to shoot with sun rise. In the starting of the Shoot we were able to take a picture with the last sun of their pre wedding day. It was very cold and windy but so worth it!
It was a cold evening in Scotland but Stacey & Darren braved the December elements to give us this spectacular steamy kiss.
This shot was planned before the wedding day but its such a great feeling when everything comes together.
Be adventurous, be spontaneous, take risks and live in the moment. From the bottom of every ocean to the top of every mountain - as long as we do it together, anything is possible
This is one of my all time favourites, When I saw it on the back of the screen I loved it. This was a scorching day and because I had to lock down the aperture I tried using a mirror to add a little something else to the shot. Boom.
This photo was taken at Lucknam Park near Chippenham in Wiltshire (UK) in June. The venue has some splendid gardens but this narrow path between two sets of conifer trees provided the ideal spot to let the couple have a quiet moment whilst I set about the portrait shot. Taken on a 35mm 1.4, I took it from a low position to enable to foreground leaves to become part of the image and give it some depth and perspective.
I took this photo in Harajuku, Tokyo. I chose this because it had an impact on the advertisement of commercial facilities and I wanted to take cool pictures.
Many times beauty is inside and others outside, Naima has it all, a bride in love enjoying her wedding day while preparing to say yes I want forever.
My last few weddings I didn't have much luck with the weather...luckily living in Ireland I have accustomed to the bad weather....The couple braved the stormy conditions and went to the end of this pier in Kerry, Ireland....this couple were fearless and the images speak for themselves
It has always been a dream of doing something creative in the beautiful Cathedrale Church in Mauritius. I used a blue gel in the background to immortalize the presence of the almighty at that place.
The rest was just magic
Light is my best friends. Golden hour is my reference when the organisation let me work with. At the end of the day on a slope of a hill, when nature offers you this perfect match between light and landscape, you have nothing to do. Just guide a bit the couple and take the picture. Here is the magic of special moments.
