Fifty-Sixth Collection
Just a great emotion during the ceremony, when on an of your best friends sings you a song that is specially made for you.
I love real moments.
Beach weddings are always something very special and there are countless but quickly transient situations. It was a perfect moment for this photo; the sun gave great light, the pose was right and the wind did the rest with the bridal veil. These are the moments that make me happy to have such a wonderful job.
Emma & Adam's wedding day certainly was a wet one, so I knew when night fell I needed to produce something extra special for them both. This composition caught my eye, I used the fairy lights to lead into the image, and with a small pop of flash from behind and to their faces we came up with this.
A sporty wedding couple asked for sporty wedding photos and we started using them. A matter of timing and luck because after three times the ultimate shot was successful.
Thanks, Rutger and Marieka!
Maybe one of the "more special" weddings in this season. The couple loves Disney films and wanted a special picture with a white horse.
when two glances speak more than a thousand words, the sunset was running out, you had to shoot anyway, even light.
here is the final result!
This couple, who lives in Portugal, decided to marry in Holland. Surrounded by all their family and friends.
It was the beginning of November, autumn was really on....completely with a lot of rain. But it was never a problem for these happy people. They smiled all day long.
The father of the bride arranged this awesome car and the idea of this lovely picture was born.
Thank you so much for my Wedisson Award. This photo was taken at golden hour in the beautiful wild flowers of South Farm when I asked Natalie and Eoin to twirl and dance together.
Muchas gracias A&R por ser tan profesionales y dejaros asesorar , me encantó ser el encargado de inmortalizar un momento tan importante para los 3 (ahora ya 4) , parte de este premio es vuestro por ponérmelo tan fácil.
This photo was taken well after sunset. The day ended in the beautiful city of Rotterdam.
The Williamsburg in Rotterdam is already a picture in itself but this bridal couple finishes it off.
Oli and Esther. The couple who took a leap and ran across fields in Sussex and put their faith in me when I promised an epic end to their wedding images.
This wedding took place in late October at a resort at the top of a mountain. Earlier in the day, we took photos with the Fall foliage, and later that night I pulled the couple out for a few minutes for some photos in the mountain snow. Fuji XT2, 56mm f1.2, backlit with a Lowell GL-1.
Taken on the spiral staircase of the beautiful Bellinter House in Navan (Ireland). The staircase is actually closed off to the public because of its age but often you have to take a few risks in life to get that killer shot and then apologize profusely to the hotel management after about not noticing the safety sign :) My wonderful bride Elena originally from Moldova and her dashing husband Padraig from Co. Tipperary were lit with a kiss of flash combined with a mag-grid aimed at the veil, the steps were light by the light spilling in through the large window overhead. The image was loosely based around the "Fibonacci spiral".
These couples have been in long-distance relationships for quite a number of years. Uk and Malaysia. The process has never been easy for them. But they made it through! And as the saying goes 'one day the plane ticket will be one way ' and today is the day.
Walking to the reception I saw this opening that was on the sand and had direct access to the horizon from the path and boom I knew I needed to shoot there. Obviously not a planned shot but who cares because keeping an open mind on top of your usual workflow can allow you to see things freely with no constraints and no preconceived notions. I am a blank canvas every wedding day because my clients are always unique in their own way individually and together and that for me is important in telling their story in pictures! Ok, we can go back to the warm now. I think we are all sick of this cold weather already!
Carcassonne offers you a return to the past where it is hard to imagine how everything was. It gives you the possibility to mix the current with the old and capture the best memory in incredible photographs. Marc & Anna, fans of the board game Carcassonne, decided to live in person what they had only been able to see in their spare time accompanied by a sky that seemed to have been waiting for that moment for a long time.
Love in Tuscany! The married in the Netherlands but always wanted to marry in Italy, so I showed up at their honeymoon and we made some awesome pictures!
“It had rained all day, pretty relentless, but my couple is fans of some of my OCF stuff, so requested we head out in the evening to catch something cool. I thought the lights up the venue drive were a cool backdrop, and though there was some potential for a cool effect with raindrops hitting my lens as the wind was light and blowing slightly from left to right across the road. I set up flash behind them directed into the brolly, a flash camera left with a MagMod dome just to expose their faces, and a 3rd flash camera left with a red gel pointed slightly towards and away from my camera so that it would catch the water on my lens and add some color to the scene. I only managed about 4 frames before the rain got too heavy to stay and my lens was drenched, this was the second of the 4, and it worked really well.”
Such a lovely couple. Hannah & Rob trusted me to create a few special images from their big day and when there is a giant chandelier - it would be rude not to use it.
It was a rainy evening when we start for the bride and groom shooting. The sky was so dark we saw the rain's coming near to us. I noticed a bright spot between the clouds and made this shot. Fifteen seconds later the rain was there and we ran to the car to drive back to the location!
This awesome couple was open for taking some non-standard shots during the photoshoot. The position is of them relative to the mountain peak and the way they hold hands gave something quite magical to the image. I, and more importantly the wedding couple, love how it turned out.
This place was one of my favorites. We had very extreme conditions, communication problems, rain, and fog, which made photography unique.
From the Indian Ocean and the sunset, a beautiful bouquet is thrown! Beautiful light, beautiful colors on the Four à Chaux Reef. What a beautiful moment, frozen in the time, on the other side of the globe. This day was amazing. And I am glad to be the one to shoot their story!
It was evening and the sun was swallowed by the endless ocean. Kinjal and Parth’s eyes blended their emotions and it was a perfect time for their voices to shut and their soul to synergize and this made the perfect shot for me.
I don't want to be your “favorite” or your “best”. I want to be your “only” and forget the rest.
Tom, It was raining the whole day and try the make the most of the situation and think out of the box. A big thanks to the judges of Wedisson to award this photo!
This picture was taken during the wedding of Lisa and Andreij in Bolzano Italy. I'm really proud of it because i used a common Italian kitchen utensil for doing it.... a spaetzle maker.... XD It's the proof of what photography is, just let the imagination work to trasform something common in a piece of art. It's like a magic tricks this picture for me.
This couple married at a very special place, a former colliery in Germany. in this room, the miner changed clothes to go on duty. Its called the "Weisskaue".
This picture was taken during sunset with a great couple “Marja & Youri”. We decided to take some pictures in the Dutch tradition, so we took the bike for a spin.. who do you think is in charge? ;)
It was an incredibly humid day, and that humidity crept right into Hartford City Hall. The moisture in the air dispersed the rays of light coming in, and with a little help from Lightroom, I was able to bring this image to life. Sony a9, 28mm f2.8.
After doing our first look outside my clients wanted to warm up a little so right back into the hotel we went and that is when I saw the light coming through on the stairs leading up to the rooms. Added a little pop of flash as they walked up and boom I got a great shot of them before we actually shot the photo I was planning on shooting. So blessed to have couples that trust me in what I do!
