This image was quite a journey, the heat was about 30 degrees Celsius and we embarked on a trip to La Isla Catalina, which is located east of the Dominican Republic. The Bride and the groom were in the best attitude so that we could achieve the best images that day. Do not impede the amount of people who were on the boat, they were willing to do everything for their best love story.
Today they always remember that magic day in their lives that was narrated in the best way by us The Dreams Storytelling.
I love the golden hour, it's my favorite time of the day for portraits!
It's not just the light itself though, I like that the couple has been married for a few hours and things seem calmer, more relaxed. Here's a portrait of Step shot at the incredible Notley Abbey in the UK. It was during this exact time of the day that I captured this gorgeous moment as she was preparing her veil for a picture. It's the moments between the moments :)
A special day for you when your mom & dad get married. In the morning your helping your mother with getting dressed, having fun with your brothers and sister during picture time, the ceremony sitting on the first row and then... your mother speaks beautiful words and you can't stop the tears. Special moments on a special day you will always remember.
This lovely couple took us to a beautiful place near Rosmalen (Netherlands). It was the first wedding of 2019.
We started the shoot early in the morning. The grass and leaves were all covered with ice.
The couple had a special connection with this small bridge. Years ago the bride was sure, if she ever gets married she would have a picture on this bridge. So there it is...
It was an empty palace. While walking around I came across this stair with beautiful lines and perspectives. I did not want the couple to focus on the camera. I wanted them to be together enjoying a casual chat moment. Yovan & Anouchka nailed it perfectly.
These two lovers were in the mood for an extraordinary wedding photoshoot. So I noticed the beautiful geometry of this landscape. This tree, the street and already the picture was in my head. My bridal couple lay down on the street and looked at each other in love. Just perfect.
Taken in the beautiful old center of Delft, the Oostpoort is a favorite place for couples to pose during their wedding day. Since there were many people biking there and I wanted to do something a little different this idea quickly came to mind. It only took a few shots to get it right with the timing of the elderly couple.
We found this peaceful place on the wedding day, not far from the venue. A footbridge is always a good idea for a photo. The couple willingly shared their feelings with each other and I love it when they decide to take several shots on their special day - without witness.
Sometimes, we have to go above and beyond to get the correct angle, light, and alignment but sometimes, there are rare moments when out of the blue, our shot aligns itself for us. All we have to do is click at the right place and time. This was one such picture. The award for intuitive photography.
This is beautiful Emma in the mountains of Scotland. It was taken at ‘the three sisters’ a beautiful spot at Scotland highlands with three mountains. We had to run for the rain showers several times. It was freezing cold, but Emma wanted to go on, to get the most beautiful wedding pictures. And when the sun popped out the magic happened
Yes, yes! One of my favorite group photo's! Check out the family and friends in the bus. Lots of fun making this one!
I was inspired by the clip from Elvis Presley Jailhouse Rock. Every time I take look at all the faces, It's bringing a smile on my face. I think that makes our work worth so much!
