Thirty-Ninth Collection
He scooped her up and made her his! What an amazing love story these two have. High school sweethearts that lost touch after heading off to college. Years later they found each other again. He wasn’t going to miss one more opportunity to make her his wife, and she said yes! Love these two!
A slight tropic thunderstorm in the Dominican Republic rolled in after the ceremony which almost put a damper on photos but the couple enjoyed cocktail hour and as soon as the storm passed we popped out of the event cover and snapped this great moment. Of course I had to lay in the wet grass to make it happen and get rid of all the resort distractions and buildings behind them! Would do it again in a heartbeat! Loved this trip and couple! So much fun!
Mark & Meike live in Holland now, but met eachother on Aruba on a kite surf event. So when
Mark asked Meike to marry him they wanted to get married on Aruba! And we took some pictures with Mark his kite on the spot
where they saw eachother for the first time.
We spend the day with this couple for their engagement shoot in Segovia (Spain). Lindsay and Nathan are from the United States and are in love with Spanish culture. The "Alcazar de Segovia" and the sunset was a perfect place to get this photo to remember.
On this Dutch and Indian wedding, I captured this photo of the bride. The groom had just opened the bottle with a knife he had been given by his study friends. Since the bottle now had sharp edges, the bride went all in and poured the champagne right in her mouth. Still a lady.
We found this beautiful romantic spot on the grounds of their wedding location, only a little bit of light was able to come through were there were no leaves...
This photo was taken on Posbank in The Netherlands. A not that typical Dutch landscape. It's a place with hills and valleys full with heather and woods. But the most typical Dutch was the weather: A little bit rain, a little bit sun and beautiful Dutch clouds.
We had a pretty gloomy day here in the UK for Katie & Lee's wedding at South Farm, and fog started to appear in the early evening, so I was looking at ways to be creative. A car coming up the driveway at the venue, with its headlights on illuminating the fog around the trees, inspired me to put a MagMod and a speedlight behind my couple to capture this image! It was the perfect end to an awesome day :-)
Thank you for this award. It was taken at Ham Yard Hotel, we literally had 30 seconds to take it before the security team ushered us on (apparently despite having a wedding at the hotel you can't take photographs outside the front of the hotel!)
When love is this real, it's not the pose that enhances the beauty, it's the magic in the air and passion emanating from Ralph and Karissa's intertwined hearts.
Mother cried from the moment her girl was dressed. When we gave the father a first look :-) he also start crying. The bride couldn't stop laughing.
I love to catch this emotions.
Megan & George’s wedding last month was at the beautiful Red Barn in Norfolk, UK.
This was the very last shot of an the day of the day and one of my favorites. Congratulations Megan & George wishing you lot's of happiness.
Mandy & René celebrate a Wedding in bohemian style with so much love and happiness. Both souls are so special, filled with love and wonderful personalities. They had such a wonderful day with many small unique specials. Even at the end of there marriage celebration they had a Indians tradition to complete the promise to each other. It was such a honor to be part of this wedding.
Photo taken on the beach in the city of Leba. The bride's veil was over 5 meters and the strong wind made it much easier for me to make a nice composition for the photo. Karolina and Lukasz were very positive and worked great and the result of our work is this photo
Jodie and Matt were brilliant, the weather opened up outside so we headed in doors for some artistic shots, I had this in my mind and so chuffed it ended up how I envisioned.
When we have so enthusiastic couple for photo shoot the end result is always special. The main idea was to show the deepness of the love they share in a very romantic background. The lampshade is about to switch off, the door is about to get closed, two souls is about to be one.
Guillermo was proposed to this beautiful lady on The Top Of The Rock with NYC View. It was noon time and the sun was harsh and creates a lot of unpleasant shadow on faces. Even though, I have been able to capture great shots by using the glass reflection and covering her face with his face while they enjoying that special moment of her saying "YES"
These guys came all the way from Austraila to elope in Positano! After the ceremony they celebrated by popping some champagne - nothing but pure joy and love from this couple.
Sadly it rained for most of the day for this couple. But as I was getting ready to leave I could see the sky changing colour and it was just stunning so I quickly ran back into the venue to get the couple back out again. I'm so glad i did......
The more I was taking pictures of this beautiful couple the more I was falling in love with the results. Everything was so unexpected. In between locations, I came across this particular setting and the view was emotional for me. I took the opportunity to take a snapshot of the couple without them paying attention. You can see in your own eyes the results. I have always loved this mixture of modernism and nature.
Holy giraffe
When you ask your couple what’s your requirement and they say “we want a photograph with a giraffe!”
After chasing a Camera shy giraffe for 35 minutes to get in the frame when you give up and decide to not move for the next 20 minutes you realise giraffes also have heart. And YES ... it probably looked at our sad faces and decided to walk straight into our frame with big SMILE !
Jackie and Phillip loved the idea of incorporating the springtime lilacs into their wedding portraits - the sunset was quite cloudy which allowed for the floral vignette to bleed onto the back of the frame giving them the feeling of being enveloped.
This photo was taken outside the City Hall of Toronto. This is the place where people in love with each other become a real married couple. Walk in the City Hall wearing a white wedding dress, the girl's love story has entered a new chapter.
A portrait taken just before Laura and Pete's epic wedding party in a marquee (yes that is a marquee) in Laura's parent's garden.
I used one flash on the floor behind the couple to separate them from the amazing background.
Taking this image was not actually part of the plan at all! After a 3 hour photo shoot, the sun had set and we started walking towards our cars. Then, I saw beautiful colors in the sky just when the sun had set behind the lake and there was a hut, which had no lights, but, it was painted white from inside. Being a part time landscape photographer (who obviously loves sunsets & sunrises), i got an idea to fuse two genres of photography: Landscape and Couples Portraiture.
So, i quickly asked my couple to hop out of the car for one last image and luckily, they still had the patience to get photographed after a long photoshoot! I setup the tripod, took 3 exposure brackets of the scene without the couple and finally asked my friend (who was assisting me that day) to hold the flash and point it up towards the ceiling of the hut and asked the couple to sit in the center. I was blown away when i saw the image in my camera, as i never imagined the flash would light up the hut and the surroundings so naturally. I was very glad i had the patience to give my idea a shot and it worked out really well! Finally, i blended all the photographs together, I got this final image.
It was a great and funny wedding celebration of Alessia and Oliver. In this scene the amazing guests played the game "Musical Chairs" in a variation and had the job to get a bra. I hurried to get the shot of this great moment.
One of the most romantic evenings for Mahima & Nikhil during their pre-wedding shoot at The Lodhi Gardens. The silhouette at the 15th century architectural marvel says it all! The couple met at this very place for the first time and planned the pre-wedding shoot to re-live some precious memories from their first meeting.
This picture was shot in Fort kochi, Kerala during Sanjay and Sangeetha's pre wedding shoot .
I am always fond of taking couple pictures in a beautiful landscape showing the serenity and solitude. So once I reached Fort kochi I was searching for such a location and found this and the lovely couple elevated the beauty in the frame!!!!
Location: Fort kochi
Shot for : Octograph Studios
This image was taken on the beach of La Concha in San Sebastian during a post-wedding session. The cloudy skies threatened storm and were perfect to get a dramatic photo.
