One Hundred and Thirtieth Collection
There is a timeless charm and romance connected to old trains and historic railway stations. Throughout the many wedding stories we’ve had the pleasure of capturing, we’ve often found ourselves returning to these nostalgic places; usually because the couple had some personal connection to the railway in their lives or love story.
For this sweet couple, S & S, that wasn’t the case at all. While searching for an out-of-the-box location near their wedding venue, they were drawn to the enchanting atmosphere of the old VSM railway grounds, where dozens of vintage locomotives and carriages still rest in quiet beauty. The character and history of the place immediately spoke to them.
This intimate moment inside one of the classic carriages feels truly timeless. Choosing black and white only enhances that feeling. The symbolism of connection, the romance of bygone days, and the calm closeness of this lovely couple all come together in this single frame. A scene where past and present gently meet.
Soft window light, an empty industrial hall and a veil caught in motion. Just the two of them, quiet and fully present in the moment.
Taken at sunset, where a narrow break in the trees opened just enough light.
I stepped back and let the moment unfold naturally.
A circle of sparklers and a quiet kiss in the middle of all the excitement. For a few seconds, everything slows down—warm light, smiling faces, and that unmistakable “we’re really married” feeling. It was a beautiful wedding at the Weingartenhotel Harkamp in Styria, Austria, and this moment happened so naturally—pure joy, surrounded by their people and a shower of light.
Due sposi seduti sul sedile posteriore di un furgoncino vintage.
Si abbracciano, fronti vicine.
Lei in abito bianco, lui in nero.
Un momento intimo, silenzioso, lontano dal resto del mondo.
This photo was taken just seconds after the ceremony. They are offered a glass of champagne and take a brief step away from the excitement to enjoy this intimate celebration together, a moment of pure release. They didn't notice I was capturing this intense moment. The photo, in black and white, feels even stronger than in color. The colors would have distracted from the raw emotion of the moment.
A sunny day and a beautiful fun couple is all you need for lovely wedding photos!
Because is was such a sunny day, I had chosen this spot in the shaddow, as we did the couple photos previous to the ceremony.
I‘s one of my all time favorite photos!
My couple asked for a short session in this empty theater, an idea i instantly loved The quiet, cinematic atmosphere felt perfect. I decided to shoot down from the balcony, lightning them with a flash from the front and behind.
A quiet embrace before everything begins ... In this moment, time slows down. No words, no expectations — just the safety of being held, the grounding presence of love, and a shared breath before stepping into the day that will change everything.
Sometimes the most powerful part of a first look happens just before the eyes meet.
A quiet, fairytale like moment between bride and groom at Lago di Braies. During blue hour we made the last photos of the day with lights in their hands. It was so beautiful!
Imagine a romantic wedding in Northern France. The bride and groom walking hand in hand through a meadow filled with flowers and thousands of butterflies. Pure French romance, and that was exactly what Robbe and Silke were looking for.
We decided to do the first photoshoot early in the morning on the cliffs, due to the high tide and the heatwave that week. The meadows were covered in lush green grass and wildflowers. We were surrounded by hundreds and hundreds of butterflies. It was a fairytale. I'd never seen anything like it, and neither had Robbe and Silke. Pure magic! We felt blessed and so happy. Every photo was perfect. I still feel that happy feeling from that morning when I look at the photos.
Un abbraccio che non chiede attenzione, ma verità.
La luce del tramonto li unisce come una promessa sussurrata: occhi chiusi, cuori aperti, tempo sospeso
An embrace that asks for no attention, only truth.
The sunset light binds them like a whispered promise: closed eyes, open hearts, time held still.
The Weingartenhotel Harkamp is one of those venues that naturally feels effortless: vineyard atmosphere, plenty of nature, and space for a relaxed celebration. Right there in Southern Styria, just after the ceremony, this spontaneous “we did it!” moment happened—the couple kissing in the center while everyone around them erupts in applause and joy. I didn’t want to “arrange” anything; I wanted to capture the scene as honestly as possible—close, fast, and with a touch of motion blur—so the image tells not only the kiss, but the feeling.
The bride stands in front of an open window, taking a serene moment to herself after finishing her preparations for the special day ahead. It's as if she is on a rollercoaster, perched at the top, ready for the exhilarating ride to begin. This quiet pause marks the calm before the excitement of the day unfolds.
By stepping back, the couple becomes a subtle element of the vast theater, emphasizing the contrast between scale and quiet intimacy.
