Im Juni durfte ich ein ganz besonders herzliches Brautpaar nach Cuxhaven begleiten. Die Trauung fand morgens im historischen Leuchtturmdenkmal Obereversand statt – eine Kulisse, wie man sie sich als Hochzeitsfotograf nur wünschen kann.
Zwischen uns stimmte einfach die Chemie, sodass wir den ganzen Tag gemeinsam verbrachten. Abends gab es eine köstliche Edelfischplatte – und als wäre das noch nicht perfekt genug, machten wir uns im Sonnenuntergang auf ins Weltnaturerbe Wattenmeer, zur legendären Kugelbake.
Die Kamera stand auf dem Stativ, Selbstauslöser auf 10 Sekunden – ich hatte nur diesen kurzen Moment, um die Spur perfekt zu zeichnen. Es brauchte mehrere Anläufe, matschige Schuhe und jede Menge Geduld. 😅
Danke von Herzen an Verena und Andre – ihr wart nicht nur geduldige Models, sondern auch fantastische Begleiter. Ich weiß, dass man in der Hochzeitsnacht eigentlich anderes im Sinn hat, als mit dem Fotografen durchs Watt zu laufen. 💛

Deze foto maakte ik op een waanzinnige locatie in Hoek van Holland, waar het bruidspaar even samen ontsnapte aan de drukte van de dag. Ik zag één muur en meteen zag ik dit beeld voor me!

Zelfs uit Brabant rij ik hiervoor met liefde die kant op.

Dóri & Ádám again. After their fairy tale wedding in Hungary, they would have liked an after-wedding photoshoot in Switzerland. We decided to go to the Vierwaldtättersee, which is their favourite lake in the home of the Alps. The location did not disappoint us...

Vows that resonate in a naturally formed cathedral and are carried by the wind over land and sea...

Een zelf gezaaid korenveld bij hun ouders in de tuin. Een bruiloft helemaal passend bij wie zij zijn als bruidspaar, geen bruidstaart maar een champagne toast afgesloten met een heerlijke BBQ en een liveband tijdens het feest. Tot slot nog snel de zonsondergang in het korenveld meegepakt. Een dag die helemaal eigen is kan ik als trouwfotograaf alleen maar van genieten!

A cornfield they planted themselves in their parents' garden. A wedding that perfectly suited who they are as a couple, no wedding cake but a champagne toast followed by a delicious BBQ and a live band during the party. Finally, they quickly caught the sunset in the cornfield. As a wedding photographer, I can only enjoy a day that is completely unique!

On the beautiful shores of the Dutch Henschotermeer, I saw a silhouette appear against the backlight. This couple stood still for a while so I could find just the right composition—but it was more than worth it!

Wandering round Lincoln was an absolute delight with these two. They did the legal bit, as they were heading abroad a few weeks later for their Wedding Day, but still wanted a few snaps; just the two of them, and we had a blast!

That was the first time I took a photoshoot about Dóri & Ádám. It was their engagement shoot and it was fun and easy going to work together. Since then, we have had 5 other photoshoots together and I'm really grateful that I can capture their important moments from time to time.....

This is why I love drone footage so much. The underwater structures can only be seen from above. With a wedding dress that has such a stunning train, the picture is absolutely complete.

I loved this moment - in amongst the filled dance floor were these two. Their day was so, so special; two of the kindest souls you could ever meet. I felt extremely honoured to have been part of their magical day.
