Hi, I'm Matt
Being a couple's photographer of choice for their big day is something very special.
It is a privilege.
My mission is to repay my client's trust by producing images that are timeless and that evoke laughter and tears for all the right reasons, now and for the generations to come. That comes from careful planning, proper listening and attention to detail – and being able to spot those moments of pure magic!
My style is fun, relaxed & natural.

Beautiful light in this outdoor area of the Titanic Hotel, I'm a big fan of this doorway type light. The light outside was actually very harsh. Lovely connection and moment between Anna & Jamie here.
111th CollectionI saw the beautiful light in the church, luckily Jon was early to arrive, so we took the opportunity to capture this image. When natural light is available like this you can't miss it. A good tip is to switch off any lights, luckily I had time to do this before Heather & Jon's ceremony.
110th CollectionThere wasn't too much time to capture this sunset image at Heather & Jon's recent wedding, this colour in the sky didn't last long. I hurriedly set up a rear rim light and key light in a soft box, then ran over to find the couple with seconds to spare. I know they would love the fact the church where their ceremony was held is in the background.
110th CollectionChantelle looked incredible in her wedding dress, we had to use this stunning window light to create this image. You can't beat a smile in a photograph!!!
110th CollectionEmma & Rik enjoying a walk through the long grass on the sand dunes at sunset. I love the fact the very top of the lighthouse is just showing to at to the story of this image.
110th CollectionKimberley & Ryan asked for their pre wedding shoot to be held at the beautiful Chester Groves, a riverside location with little ice cream huts, a bandstand and rowing boats. There is also the Queens Park Bridge crossing the river over to Handbridge. I saw the opportunity to use the drone to capture this image.
109th CollectionAnother image taken on the beautiful Queens Park suspension bridge, this time using off camera flash to create a warm glow around the couple. the flash with a CTO gel ( colour temperature orange ) to create the warmth. The actual setting sun was over to the right of the image.
109th CollectionThis champagne shower was taken at Ellie & Tom's amazing wedding at the stunning Tower Hill Barns. I do love to end the evening with a super fun champagne shower. It wouldn't have been the end for Ellie & Tom, they were straight back on the dance floor...
109th CollectionThe stunning stone bridge at Tower Hill Barns, made even more dramatic by the atmospheric Welsh sky. Ellie & Tom.
108th CollectionAwesome groomsman group photo at the stunning Tower Hill Barns. I love it when people are up for a fun photo!
108th CollectionAnna & Jamie... Another one from Anna & Jamie. I like an image to tell a story, I think these 'looking into the distance' images do a great job of just that. It was a lovely simple sunset shot.
107th CollectionEllie & Tom... This one takes me back to my dark and moody landscape days. I love my atmospheric landscapes, like something from Lord of the Rings. I saw this scene as we walked up to Castell Dinas Bran, I knew exactly what I wanted for the last shot of the evening on Ellie & Tom's pre wedding shoot.
107th CollectionAnna & Jamie... A stunning sunset pre wedding shoot along Formby Beach. The sunlight behind them wasn't strong enough to create the desired effect, so I added a light behind them to create the warm glow.
107th CollectionI always ask a helpful couple from the wedding guests, to help me set the lights before I ask the wedding couple to leave the dance floor for a off camera flash image.
On this occasion I asked this awesome fun loving couple to help me, I was able to capture this before asking Shaunagh & Gavin to come out...
Laura & Craig celebrating with a champagne shower at the Fields Barn venue Chester.
106th CollectionI felt an atmospheric image would suit this beautiful room in Ruthin Castle. I placed a small flash behind the bride to be, while her hairdresser sprayed the hair spray. I love this image especially for the light catching the smile from the hairdresser, the mirror providing a reflection of the brides hair also helps to tell the story...
105th CollectionA Fun group shot captured using a long exposure and flash on a stick. Having the flash on a boom rather than on camera, meant I could rotate the camera, capturing movement in the lights behind. I love this kind of group shot, full of fun...
104th CollectionShaunagh & Gavin. I was so pleased to have been a small part of this super fun wedding, surprises around every corner. I really enjoyed creating these off camera flash image using Shaunagh & Gavin's guests to get test shots before asking the couple to come out. We all had such a laugh!!
103rd CollectionLaurie & Adam. An absolutely stunning church wedding followed by a garden party, then a marquee reception. Incredible to see the Guard of honour, this must have been such a proud moment for Laurie & Adams family. An awesome experience for the photographer too!!
103rd CollectionLeanne & Scott... I had set up for a sunset shot, but Scott the groom had gone missing. Unfortunately we missed the short-lived sunset sky. Not wanting to give up, I decided to set up this back lit image using the twilight sky and stunning barn at Stock Farm Barn in Cheshire.
