I have a real passion for delivering beautiful images that reflect the authentic, heartfelt emotions of a wedding.
I document the day in a relaxed manor, picking up on all the key moments, whilst capturing all the fun and humour as it unfolds
I really thrive on making the most of the natural landscape, I’m a sucker for a large moody sky or a stunning starlit evening, not to mention the magic of the golden hour, chasing light is a must at any wedding

This shot was taken on one of my first micro weddings after lockdown. I remember that feeling of being out in the fresh air with blue sky and a happy couple. It felt so good. We spent around 30 minutes in this field shooting couple portraits. Just perfect!
70th CollectionWe were just about to wrap up the shoot when the reflection of the hall caught my eye walking back. I set Aynslie & Hugh in the centre of the frame and took a low viewpoint to capture as much reflection on the ground as possible. I had one flash behind them and one lighting them from the front; I got lucky with the raindrops on my lens creating a nice effect!
Venue - Stubton Hall
Aynslie & Hugh were such fun, expressive characters; so it didn’t take much for me to coax the laughter out of them. I placed them in front of some natural window light, underexposed for the highlights, and let them do the rest.
Venue – Stubton Hall Newark
I’d had this shot in mind all day; I waited until dusk, so there was still a hint of ambient light hanging around. I added a flash behind Kelsey & Steve to provide some backlighting which also illuminated the inside of the tent. I’m really pleased how this one turned out
Venue - Tissington Hall, Derby
The summer sun was finally dipping below the horizon, Sarah & Blake had one last intimate moment before they headed back to greet their evening guest
Venue - Burghley House Stamford
I'd found this location earlier in the day and noted it had the potential for a sunset shoot. Nikita & Andrew were keen to head away from the venue and go on the hunt for a sunset, I just love it when my couples agree to get a little adventurous. Everything came together and we were rewarded with a beautiful sunset, we captured many fun images in this sequence but I just adore the tranquility and peacefulness in this image. A moment of reflection.
65th CollectionSarah & Michael's venue was dressed perfectly for a winter-themed wedding, I took advantage of the warm candlelight & fairy lights to create this romantic moment. I added a little extra warmth to the image by using an ice light.
Venue - Old Hall Ely.
Perfect light, it just can't be beaten. It's a photographers dream when the light is just right, add a little romance and laughter and you're onto a winner. Millie & Dan adding just that at Bassmead Manor Barns.
63rd CollectionGolf courses have their benefits for wedding venues, the open space is great for after dark portraits. I found this composition that I like with the trees adding some texture to the image. I pulled out some stars with long exposure and a low powered burst of flash on Emma & Glenn made them pop.
62nd CollectionThe West Mill Wedding Venue in Derbyshire is the perfect location to get your creative juices flowing, I whisked Gary & Marc off just before the speeches with this shot in mind. I exposed for the lamps then added a pop of flash to the faces with a grid on my flash head to diffuse and direct the light on them. Really happy how this one turned out.
62nd CollectionFor a long time, I took couples under this bridge and shot a few meters back from them, I didn't realize the potential of this lovely composition until I took a step back and took time to look at the surroundings. I wanted to capture a clear reflection in the river of the bride & groom, the raindrops added the atmosphere and a pop of flash from behind gave it a nice kick.
Venue - Haycock Hotel Peterborough
I scoped out this composition earlier in the day and it just so happened the moon rose in exactly the right place. We’d been spinning in this dress all day long, so one more couldn’t hurt, by now they were pros at it.
This image had a pop of flash from behind along with a little from the front to light the bride and groom.
On a crisp November evening, the stars beamed down bright. Jess & John were all for heading out into the dark to capture some creative images, so no need for persuasive measures to pull them off the dance floor.
For this image, I had to find a location with limited ambient light. I used a tripod, with my camera set to a 2-second exposure to bring out the stars, I then lit the couple with a burst of flash and this was the end result. :)
Venue - Bassmead Manor Barns
Deep into summer when golden hour is at its best, I held out till the last minute, which at times can be a risk, but on this occasion, it paid off, what an evening for Hayley & Charlie. It was so good we even got the whole bridal party out into the fields after having some fun in this gorgeous light.
Venue - Hazel Gap Barn.
Lottie and her bridesmaids were a barrel of laughs all day long, being a winter wedding I had to move fast before the laughter wore off, so short, sharp spells of banter worked well.
Venue - Bassmead Manor Barns.
Irnham Hall looks stunning by day, but especially by night. Just after dusk I took Heather & Jim out for some evening portraits, trying to get them to hold their position for my 1-second exposure proved a bit tricky, mainly due to a few too many shandy’s, but I managed to nail a couple of shots before I let them head back to the party.
58th CollectionAnita & Luke really wanted a sunset shoot, minutes before we planned to leave the cloud rolled in, but I assured them we can still get some moody effects. Then the rain came, they embraced the downpour full of smiles and laughter.
57th CollectionEmma & Adam's wedding day certainly was a wet one, so I knew when night fell I needed to produce something extra special for them both. This composition caught my eye, I used the fairy lights to lead into the image, and with a small pop of flash from behind and to their faces we came up with this.
56th CollectionIt was the hottest day of the year, so by the time sunset came around everyone was a lot happier. Lee’s Dad’s old truck proved to be a great prop; I had this image in my mind all day and just had to wait for the sun to get lower for the full effect. This pair added the final touch.
55th CollectionJess and Jon were one of those couples that just wanted to take photos all day long, great for me. At dusk I came this composition that I loved, without hesitation they followed my lead, a few twirls later we came up with this.
