Twenty Second Collection
After spotting these majestic trees on arrival at Lucy & Wayne's Norfolk reception venue, I had a shot along these lines in-mind from the start of the evening. When the weather finally broke off raining we nipped outside to shoot and the rest was all down to this wonderful couple :)
Trees were up-lit using a pair of gelled flashes; there's a 3rd flash behind the couple to backlight them and one more gridded flash, lighting them from the front.
This whas an amazing wedding in the south of the Netherlands.
I decided to take a shot from this road, because the trees had a little bit of a heart shape.
Vanessa and Daniel celebrated their love in front of only a select few at Auberge Hanfield on the Richelieu river in Quebec. These type of celebrations are so much fun to document as they are often a display of real, unfiltered emotion. I am so grateful for them having chose me to document such an intimate moment.
Aaron + Summer met on the reality show titled "Love in the Wild" hosted by Jenny McCarthy. When they emailed me, they had 2 requests... a photo shoot and an adventure... music to my ears!! ;)
This couple Sofie and Remy wanted a industrial shoot. In Utrecht (NL) we have an old warehouse build between 1950 and 1964. It is 30 meters high and has 10.000 m2 surface. It has been used to build trains and other railway material for the Dutch railway company. In this building we did the shoot.
For this photo I asked Sofie and Remy to climb up the old stairs and pose for me at approx. 15 meters above the ground. Luckily they both where not afraid of heights and we had some fun taking this photo.
I love the lines in this Photograph from the walls and the stairs. The color of the grooms suit matching the rustic wall behind him. The color of his tie with yellow color of the banisters. And of course the brides white dress as eye catcher.
A typical Dutch bridge frames this beautiful wedding couple. A cloudy day with a bit of sun, a lot of friends and family made this day what they hoped for.
A few days after their wedding this beautiful couple wanted to make special wedding photo's! And very special it was. A nice sunset and a beautiful lake in Holland was enough to make it happen...
I was not intended to be in the water myself, but within a few minutes I was... and this was one of the results!
Unfortunately it was a very rainy day, so we had to come up with a location that was warm and dry. In our city Groningen, we have a 360° cinema. The owners of the cinema were very kind and honoured that there was a bride and groom in the cinema. They projected all kinds of images on the 360° screen. One of the images were these lovely stars.
A few months later I contacted the bride and groom. They told me that they just visited the cinema again and had a lovely feeling of their wedding day all over again.
In the Netherlands, you plan your wedding in a period in which we expect the most beautiful weather. But you have no guarantee. So when it is your big day and the sun has forgotten all about it…… you just make the best out of it……..
It was a rainy day in October, but luckily not so cold. So we went into the park where these old beech trees grow. I really like these old tree roots, especially when they are wet of the rain, it gives a dramatic look. In combination with the lovely couple under the umbrella it became a really romantic wedding picture
I loved shooting this photo of Anna & Frazier in the beautiful June evening sunlight. The wedding was hosted at the beautiful Hengrave Hall in Suffolk. Like all of my clients they were so cooperative and had the most amazing day.
I've always wanted to do a staircase photograph and when I entered my couple's beautiful venue and saw this gorgeous staircase - at the beautiful Clissold House in London - I envisioned the perfect shot. Luckily, Mita & David, were perfectly happy with laying on the floor for me. I couldn't have asked for better clients as they always allow me to do my thing and put their trust in me. I cannot thank them enough!
Venue: Clissold House, London
City Library in Vienna is known that for years has preserved the literature of all writers of the world, in front of that library I made a photo that will remain the newlyweds as a memory of their most important day in life.
This photo is from the collection Dream. Three photos from this collection have received international awards. This couple was really cooperative.
Bell tower at Monastery "Curchi" June 2016 with beautiful couple that was agree to make this extreme photo
The name of this photo is "Turbine"

It was a hot day on one of the seven Canary islands. Day full of emotions , happiness, tears of joy and expectations. The kind of day where your feet are in the sand , your eyes are on the bride , you can feel the ocean on your skin and your heart is full of love.
This beautiful couple took this photo in Jeju island, South Korea
The spot was breathtakingly beautiful covered with wild flower!
It was a beautiful destination wedding in Portugal in the begining of October. The wedding reception was held in a lovely boutique hotel facing the sea. There was no doubts to go for the romantic couple session to the ocean with a spectacular view. At this time of the year the sunsets are especially beautiful and the light is perfect for the outstanding romantic shots. The sound of the ocean water, the warm rays of the sunset and of course the love of the couple inspired me to this photo.
I flew out to Phoenix, Arizona for Jen & Scott's wedding day. Two days after the wedding, we made a trip up to Sedona to take additional portraits of the couple in a unique setting. They were running behind in getting ready, which set us back for the day (more on that later).
Our first stop was Tonto Natural Bridge, where we captured the photos of these two inside of a canyon-looking area. We first had to hike about 30 minutes down into the canyon. My assistant Mark and I each had lighting and camera gear to carry, and the couple had their wedding clothing in garment bags which they carried over their shoulders.
There was a beautiful waterfall within the basin of the natural bridge, and we used it as a backdrop for one of the photos. We used the view from the opposite direction as an additional background. Jen and Scott changed into their wedding day clothing once we arrived to the location we wanted to capture their photos in.
After we finished up at Tonto Bridge, we decided to make a drive further into Sedona to Devil's Bridge. We had hoped to arrive on time to have daylight, but miscalculated the time it would take to make the drive. We ended up arriving at the park exactly as the sun went down, but still had a hike to make in order to get to where the natural bridge was. We decided that since I was equipped with a tripod, some lights, and since we had come such a long way, to move forward and aim for a nighttime capture complete with stars.
What we didn't know was that the hike would take would take a full hour of brisk walking, while carrying even more equipment than we had before. We also were minimally prepared as far as flashlights go - three smart phones; two of which were nearly dead. We couldn't see much further than in front of our faces, and with a moonless night, things could have gotten bad without working together to make sure we were all safe. The last portion of our hike literally involved some pretty steep climbing (fully equipped, remember). We all discussed turning around and going back at this point, as we had no way to know how much further we had to go in order to make it to the bridge.
We carried on, and finally made it! My camera needed massive help to even lock focus on the couple (my eye couldn't have done it on manual if I wanted to), and so I had Scott aim the light from a smart phone toward Jen's face so that I could lock focus. I set the camera for both 20 and 30 second time exposures, and was only able to create a total of 3 images (we were all pretty anxious to leave and to be back at our cars where we would be safe, AND it was a struggle to pose them between the canyon gap and where I was standing; there was over 1,000 foot drop between us).
An hour after finishing, we made it safely to our cars, and that was that!
We didn't get time to take the bike out into the countryside, but this field right next to the church did the trick. Robyn & Callum on an old Russian Ural.
20 rainy days !!!
That´s our average here in February.
So the chances of waking up to this fairytale are slim...
Taking the winter wedding risk surely paid off for Silje and Herstein :)
This photo was taken on a dock behind a small restaurant venue in Rumson, NJ. The couple was so easy going and had no problem going out right before dinner for a few quick shots. It was misting so lightly out that we had no idea it was raining until my flash went off.
Having the honour to shoot weddings at incredible venues like Thornton Manor on the Wirral, England is a dream and the opportunity to create frames like this are is just outstanding. The stunning light falling through the bay windows of Lord Leverhulme's 1888 manor house made this shot.
Photograph of Gemma & Ryan walking through the gardens of Gregynog Hall in Tregynon Powys in Wales. This was taken just after their wedding breakfast when the conditions were just right for a little walk around the grounds to take a few romantics. The sky had some dramatic shades and colours which helped to balance this particular picture. I always try and make my couples look natural even when the scene is choreographed and find taking the image during the natural movement of walking (or running) gives a sense of spontaneity. The road leading to the house represents their journey through life ...together. Ed
This was the last shot of the night, a very simple setup using a light behind them, we were helped my a very foggy night which added ambience to the shot, the brides dress was amazing and the light really accentuated it's form. The couple Sean and Tracy were a joy to work with and braved the cold and fog to achieve this shot, a very romantic setting and a perfect way to end the day.
Erick and Solcandy are that king of couple knows how to keep their memories for ever. When the stared plan their big day, the most important things for them were to find a good Photographer and Video team in order to preserve those special moments under a very high quality result. As a couple they show to us how much they love. She cans smile only to see his face. Erick was a non-typical groom. The day of the pre wedding session he was so nervous he look likes that day was the wedding day. Both of them were so expressive and each of the images came out with that particular spark. That day was just PERFECT.
Joan and Nuria are those couples who knows that their love will last forever, kind and very correct with each other where their love is enormous.
Travelers all over the world they enjoy the life in the way they want and enjoying every minute.
Tamarit beach next to Tamarit’s Castle (Catalonia), a perfect place to finish a really spectacular shooting
This place was located behind a castle, in the gardens with a magnificent view I would like to make a silhouette, and the beauty of it is that her dress light remains in the picture.
