When we met this Bride and Groom they told use they wanted to take pictures in a hangar.
The hangar was full of stuff so some flashes created this great picture.
What a great idea it was!
When I finished the report of the wedding day I thought I was missing a photo, I decided to take advantage of the waterfall and that it was already dark to take this picture next to the small lake. Marçal and Lorena surprised us for the desire that they had to pose before the camera. The wedding day was celebrated in a restaurant of Barcelona, a cozy place wher we felt like in home. Sometimes when you take photos without having them in mind turn out one of the bests.
We walked arround in the Orangerie at Landgoed Dordwijk.
It's a beautifull october day and we did many great shots.
This one I took after I showed them how you can also use a veil. Just a shot between shot.
But there LOVE is the greattest. And that made the picture perfectly!
Two months ago a bought a drone, what a great machine it is! The sun was high in the sky and that created a great shadow on this beautiful couple. What a great car, this Rolls Royce Silver Cloud!
Two little Princesses
These two little princesses had the exact same dress as their (bride)mum. The house where the preparations were being made for the weddingday was absolutely stunning. I was sitting in the hallway just waiting for a magic moment to happen as I knew the girls would come out of the room and show their precious-one-day-in-a-life dress to everyone. I loved the surroundings, the light, and these two beautiful girls.
To finish the wedding off, the balcony in the Great Hall is a cool place to create something different. Having photographed quite a few couples on the balcony I like to keep the photographs unique to them and not copy previous photos from other weddings. One of my previous balcony image which has won an international award was in black and white so this time I really wanted to add a splash of colour.
Those 15 minutes the light invades the trees and almost goes unnoticed! This award is not ours, it would be selfish to say we deserve ... this award is the Great Creator, is the nature!
This was my first chinese wedding, a great experience. This was the room where the ceremony took place. Upon arrival, this chandelier struck me immediately. We're going to do something with it, I thought .. But how do I get just as much attention to the couple as this amazing chandelier? In this picture were all the pieces together. I had an idea in my head and this picture shows exactly that idea.
This shot from Mark and Katies wedding was captured at the beautiful St Mary's lighthouse in Whitley bay, Northumberland. Access to the lighthouse is dependant on the tide as there is a small causeway to cross over. All of the elements combined for one of my favourite images from 2014
This portrait was taken during such an amazing engagement session at Piedmont Park in Atlanta, Georgia. These two lovebirds had an aura of love that was felt the moment Jessica and I greeted them and it radiated all around them as well as us, as we departed this session. The sky was lit on fire and gave us a show that perhaps was designed just for Jess and Sam! As for all to see, their beauty is almost as radiant as their love!
This picture was taken in the most beautiful park in the Nederlands. Clingendael in the Hague, a park with a variety of landscapes.
This was an after wedding shoot of a Indian bride and groom. The bride was wearing a traditional Indian wedding dress. This shot on the stairs, was an idea of the groom. So all credits to the groom.
This picture was inspired for when I first met Lindsay and she had told me about the dress she had. She is a very confident person and amazing in front of the camera. I wanted to demonstrate her beauty and confidence in this photo.
This picture of Shalab & Eesha taken on a February noon in Mehtab bagh right behind the Taj Mahal on the Yamuna river banks. We wanted to shoot Taj Mahal as a back drop but wanted different look than usual so Shalab took me to this part of the city around noon (yes we were late) and it was a sunny day even. There i saw this beautiful tree and the bench and Taj Mahal as beautiful as ever in the backdrop.
This picture is from John and Ali's Wedding that took place in the middle of the picturesque Sussex countryside. Fabulous weather, stunning views, a beautiful sunset and a gorgeous couple, you don't need more than that!
This photograph was taken at a wedding in Tuscany, Italy. I wanted the light behind the bride and groom to be the same as the colour of the candles in the foreground.
This photograph of Andy & Sarah was captured at the Manchester Museum - the ball of moths was an art installation by Vivienne Westwood and the skull at the top of the frame is in fact that of a whale - incredible venue! It was lit with a single speedlight so as to cast the moths shadows onto the ceiling and really make it dramatic. These guys were great and were up for anything - dream clients!
This photo whas taken not far away from where I live , in the Ardèche..there are so much sunflowers..and the view..it was lovely !
This photo was taken in Stiwoll a place in Austria.
The bridal couple told me of your favorite place where a beautiful tree is located and whether we can not make a photo,
of course we drove during your wedding to this place, when we arrived we were thrilled.
Thank you to our bridal couple Claudia and Patrick without whom we probably would not have found this great place.
This photo was take in a littel village "st marcel L'Ardèche ..
with lovely littel streets... so beautiful places are there !
This photo is taken at the Kijkduin beach just after the "Golden hour". The sky was cloudy and lit up in different pastel colours like pink and purple. It was also quite cold at the time because of the windy weather. I'm very proud of Chandini and Gilvano for making this shoot so effortlessly beautiful and the best shoot I've ever had.
This is probably one of my very favorite images of 2016. Gwen looked stunning and that moment when she was walking towards the car was just like a scene from a movie!
This is an image taken in a little fishing village called Porthleven in Cornwall,UK. Porthleven is wide open to the raw elements and is famous for its massive waves crashing onto the reefs and pier pictured. On this particular day the winds were howling, this image was captured just before a storm blew in bringing torrential rain for the rest of the day. The storm was so intense that it knocked out all the power to the village for well over an hour, the sound of alarms rang constantly in the travelling wind around Porthleven. The pier was completely empty on this day which is quite rare so the newlyweds battled into the onshore gale and had a moment together to cement their love. I really liked that at the end of the pier is reference to the Christian cross symbolising eternal love.
This is a picture of a favorite taken at the intersection in front of the Hawaiian theater. This place is very famous, but by shooting from the oblique of the building rather than from the front, I got a depth and complemented the goodness of the location. I thank the groom that raised the bride high above all than anything else.
This Image was taken in the Cathedral Quarter of Belfast with the wonderful Gillian and Michael. They both wanted a natural approach so we just walked around the quarter and came across this wonderful umbrella art installation. The picture pretty much took care of itself after this. it really does pay to be relaxed and natural on the day. John.
This cruise ship (the SS Roterdam) is very popular with weddings in the Netherlands, my goal was to create a picture that was not created yet with this ship. On arrival I already saw this staircase, but how to make it even more special? With sunset so! I am very happy with the result.
They were not afraid to show how much they love each other, that was something i loved about this couple. I still keep an instant photo we took at their wedding and forgot to give it to them.
There's nothing better from my point of view than wonderful wedding clients who are happy to take time out of their special day to pause for photos :)
Stopping off on the way from ceremony to reception at a lovely quiet country park, this captures the very essence of wedding day storytelling for me. Two awesome people, doing nothing more than taking a moment to reflect on saying yes.
The wedding day schedule of a groomsman can be tough. In this case, Brennen had to go... Yes, this is not your traditional wedding memory, but certainly a memorable one. Congratulations to Jordan and Colby who had their beautiful wedding at the Bleckley Inn in Anderson, South Carolina.
The Romance and Emotion of Michelle & Seamus' wedding was captured at Tankardstown House in Ireland.
It is one of the most beautiful wedding venues in Ireland with the gardens as a perfect back drop for romantic wedding photo's.
The couple wanted a picture in the Ciutadella park, Barcelona where the bride's parents wedding photo was taken over 25years ago... They wanted to take the picture in the same spot & same pose. As we were walking to the park I've decided to stop Ivan & Desi to take this picture.
The candle light ceremony at Kaitlyn and Habib's wedding was quite the spectacle. The light inside the room was dimmed down and most of the ambient light came from the candles. I had the opportunity to get to the second floor balcony to get the bird's eye view of the whole ceremony. The movement of the Kaitlyn's dress, Habib's warm smile and the symbolism of them being surrounded by their friends and family, all came together in perfect harmony! This is one of those shots, that will stay as my favourite for a long time to come!
The boats, the view, the seagulls in the sky and smell of the ocean brings me back to Sausalito. Our long, romantic walk on the pier with the golden light beaming down on us.
Tears of happiness!
During the church ceremony the Bride and Groom sharded their deepest emotions with all guests. There was so much love between the both of them, it made the eyes of us photopgraphers moisty too. The picture was taken in Hoorn, the Netherlands.
Take a breath. Just breathe in this moment. You are about to walk down the isle to the one who loves you above all others.
This is what I told Samantha. This is what I do with all of my brides. I take them away for a moment. Away from the hectic getting ready process of pampering, and the excited chatter of the mothers and bridesmaids to a quite space where I can get my brides to Just Breath. Just for a moment, and to reflect on the feelings they have for that one person waiting for them at the end of their walk down the isle. Every single time, I capture something that radiates love and beauty. My bride Samantha, was truly gorgeous in this moment. These are the moments and the images that make me feel so lucky to do what I do.
Shot by different approach, pre-wedding photo can be as hip as photos on fashion magazine, nothing close to the typical ones as the couple long for.
Rimple got married in Raipur, India and this was a photo taken during the last day of her 5 day wedding. This was such a beautiful moment and composition. Once I saw all of her female family members surrounding her I decided to stick with the composition, created the right light and waited for some minutes until there was an interaction.
Renate and Francois promised their eternal love infront of their family and friends at the picturesque farm Kranskop close to a small town called Steytlerville, hidden between the cliffs in the Eastern Cape, South Africa. The couple found this little vintage car called a Morris Minor. It was perfect prop for their vintage themed wedding. This beautiful couple has such a deep love for each other, it was so special to capture this with a gorgeous South African sunset.
Renata & Guilherme
The first meeting with this couple, it was exciting ... A story of love and rich with many details.
Lovers of nature and the world to go together ....
We started the E-sessiont in a place called Heaven on Earth.
The prince and the princess are looking for love in maze.
To meet us in such a big maze.
I was photoshooting down lovers, got wonderful moment.
Our wonderful Bride was a bit worried about all the rain in the forecast for her big day. I wanted to assure her that weather makes for some incredible images and interesting stories. We looked for gaps in the rain during the big day. We would sneak out and get some photos in the sprinkles until it turned into downpour. In a beautiful review she gave shortly after seeing this image. She advised all future brides to hope for rain.
One of my favorites from this wedding. We scouted the location two weeks before the wedding and fell in love with the old manor in the forest. When we came back on the wedding day for the shoot, the terrace was closed with fences because off the bad condition it was in. Fortunately the bride and groom wanted the picture as bad as we did and they decided to climb the fence. Within two minutes we were discovered by the people in the building and we were asked to leave the premises. Fortunately we had just enough time to make this awesome photograph.
One of my favorite captures from Robert and Lisa’s engagement session at one of our historical plantations right here in Charleston. These two hold a special place in my heart since the groom is my brother and only sibling. The late fall light is always so beautiful here.
On September the 9th Andrea & Peter married in Sierndorf in Lower Austria. Nearby the location there was a littel pont where we did the pictures in den sunset. This was our last wedding of an awesome wedding season!
On our way back from Rob and Clare's portrait shoot, I had a gut feeling that Clare's white dress contrasting against the Victorian Easthampstead Park would look cool. So, without saying anything to either of them, I ran out to the field to get this shot! I love the shot and now I always trust my gut feeling!
No, they were not arrested for driving under influence or reckless driving... The bride and groom are both police officers and on their wedding day they were escorted by four policemen on motorbikes. We scouted the route they would drive from the parental house to the wedding venue and found this lovely lawn with the beautiful trees between the bulb fields. I was laying on the ground on the side of the road too get the low point off view and really see the structure off the road in the foreground. Really love this picture.
Nicole and Dane celebrated their special day at Umnenga Lodge in East London, on the Eastern Coast of South Africa. It was a beautiful South African sunshine day and we took these amazing images on a small private beach. We had so much fun with these two special people. You can just see the love between them. Such a big honour to have been part of this.
More than Words...!
This Picture I think is a great Contrast, to all the romantic and high dramatic Photos we see all the Time at a Wedding!
I enjoy this Style of Weddingphotos, with Fun, Joy, Happyness and mixed with normaly Things in our Life!
Thomas was simply picking up Ulrike at the Shopping Center near the Wedding Location, and together they droved with the Shopping Cart a special Round on the Parking Place....it was so lovely, and they had so much Fun! That´s Life , so much Emotion, nothing prepared for a Shooting....! Spontaneous Doings......I appreciate that!
Melanie just saw her husband-to-be for the first time of the day, and after hugging and kissing they both went their own way before the ceremony. This was snapped while Melanie went back to her room and I was following her.
Mary and Enrique are a couple from Higuera de la Serena, Badajoz, Spain.
We took several pictures in a forest of eucalyptus, then we decided to climb a hill in search of open spaces, the sunset left us a magical light.
Laura and Dan and a stolen moment in The Circus, Bath, just before we lost the summer's days light. 10 years together, the best of friends and oh so in love.
Lana and Mike were married in Yorkton Saskatchewan on a rainy stormy day and we were running short on time for photos as it was.. as we headed to the location, we were stopped by a long train so we hopped out by the side of the road and just decided to go for the photos right there! The setting ended up being perfect and in the ten minutes that we had, I love the emotion and beauty captured in their wedding photos.. this will always be one of my favorite weddings!
Kelly and Dave had their wedding celebrations at a farm. The tent had emptied out as it started to get dark. It was a simple shot with a backlight flash to put a rim light around the couple and separate them from the tent.
Katrina & Dustan were married in beautiful Cabos Mexico! We boated out to a remote island surrounded by rocks and oceans and were able to capture this beautiful image as the sun was going down! It was such a magical atmosphere!
Jennifer and James had the most magical wedding in Rigaud, Québec. I always enjoy shooting when it's dark and moody out. It makes for such gorgeous, lush colours.

Italian wedding, Lago di Garda
The leaves have framed a face full of happiness'
And the one that precedes the encounter with the man of life. The beauty of Lake Garda did the rest
It was a remarkably warm Autumn day in South Edinburgh, unheard of for this time of year. The sun began to creep out behind some fluffy clouds and we couldn't wait to get out and spend some time amongst the fallen leaves.
The soft lighting was just dreamy and these two were effortless from start to finish. The whole shoot was inspired by Autumn and softness. We incorporated tartan throws later on that just enhanced this. I love their gallery and can't wait to share it.
In the picture a striking example of female friendship. Bride hugs his girlfriend, who was crying for joy! The groom is also unable to contain his emotions. Everyone is happy!
I´m so proud to been the Photographer, on this amazing Wedding Day in Lenggries - Isarwinkel - Middle Bavarian Alps!
It was the sunniest Day End of July, very clear Sky, very hot Temperature.....! We started the Day in the Morning with wonderful Pictures around the over 200 Years old Farmhouse where the Bride Veronika was born! She was wearing a Bride Dirndl and Martin an special old Suit from the Bavarian Tracht! Thogether we moved to the Church in Lenggries for a amazing traditionell Weddingzeremonie.
Bevor the Party starts....I picked up Veronika and Martin inclusive the Car Driver....for a funny Picture under Mount Geierstein!
I love these kind of Photos, with a lot of Fun, Joy and so much Love!
Thank you for this great Day !! I´m very very Proud!
I went to take pictures with this amazing fun couple by a museum. But suddenly my eye fell on a skeleton of wood. The sun was great throughout. So I asked the couple to take place at the end 'cause I knew the lines f the wood in combination with the sun peaking in, it would be an amazing picture! And it did! A special thanks to Martijn and Willemijn, this great couple, for having one of the most fun wedding with! -x-
I love to make memories of little sweet moments at the wedding. The groom loves antique tractors and this Lanz Bulldag (1957) is prepaired (2 years) for his wedding. He drives in the Lanz Bulldag with his love to the ceremony where family and friends are wating. The couple had a great ride and they having fun. That moment I like!
Making memories & life is always better when you're laughing. Weddingphotography is telling a love story.
I love intimate weddings, few people but so much love ! This wedding was special to me because of the love between this couple and their story. After the toast we skipped away for half an hour to make some pictures in this beautiful building, het Glaspaleis (Heerlen, the Netherlands). Modern architecture, perfectly placed natural light and a couple in love is all you need !
I lived for long time in Japan, this is my best friend Nathalia from Tokyo, we are like sisters and she decided to celebrate her wedding in Italy and i have been honored to be her wedding planner and her photographer.. I wish a wonderful life to Nathalia & Kohei !
Firstly,It was a lovely couple.
I like a place where couples opt for a pre-wedding shoot. It suits the couple.
I love this mirror It is at the point between the first and second floors of the building.
This image looks great because of the color of the dress with a cute gesture of the groom.
Did I get wet during this sabrage? You bet! But that's the point of going to the extremes for every photograph, right? Matthew practiced this a few times before the wedding, which possibly added to the success of this image. This wedding in The Hague was a very memorable occasion, with beautiful people from all over the world.
Candid moments are the best. When I saw the wind blowing her vail I quickly ran to get this shot. It's one of my very favs from this wedding!
Bree and Donovan were such a fun loving and upbeat couple so when I mentioned experimenting with smoke bombs, they jumped on it and were excited to see my vision come to life on their wedding day! Their wedding was at the beginning of October and just by un-natural fluke it decided to snow all over our city just before their wedding! The wonderful part was, we still got the beautiful fall color in the trees but snow on the ground... the best of two seasons in one!
Both the bride and the groom are professional dancers. What better then to take a picture of them when they were dancing.
A few magmods helped them to create this picture. The bokeh are raindrops!
Anatoly and Violetta - very tender and a young couple from Odessa. They circle in his wedding waltz. All guests enthusiastically watching this beautiful dance. This is one of the brightest moments in the life of newlyweds.
After the emotional ceremony they wanted a moment for them selves. My choice to stay with the gasts or go out in the rain and make this memory for them. This is the moment the bride spotted me standing in the rain making this photo.
A late evening shot from Andy and Amber’s wedding at Magnolia Plantation and Gardens. As many weddings do, we were running a bit behind and running out of light, this was one of the last shots we got in before it was too dark to use natural light.
A great couple and a really relaxt shoot. The 2 kids in front are the bride&grooms kids. At this point they were just walking around, eating their cookie, totally not thinking of me. And at once I saw this happening. Perfectly lined, bride and groom in the center. I love this picture, because it is a family portrait, just how it is!
"So the journey begins".... The bride and groom slogan for their special day. I met this lovely couple in The Netherlands and was very excited that they chose me to shoot their wedding in Ireland where the bride is originally from. The journey started in Dublin Ireland and then traveling west through the middle of the country to where the wedding took place in county Claire. In the photo you will notice the beautiful castle of Bunratty in the background which holds special meaning to the bide as her ancestors help build this castle in the 15th century. It was an absolute pleasure shooting this wedding in this beautiful location. The only real trouble was deciding the right photo to showcase as there were many great shots to choose from but I'm glad that I went with this shot!
"A Sky Full Of Stars"
As every couple have their own unique love story, and we belive into give it a unique look,
These what happen when we first saw Ankur & Saloni on their prewedding shoot, always ready for shoot at any time any where.
These what we found a perfect location for these love bird after a long serway for perfect spot just out side our cottage in kerala.
Midnight shot at 1.15am & their love is still shinning same as moon & stars in the sky.
Thank you so much team wedisson once again for award.
'Love makes you forget that the photographer is there'.
We photographed this beautiful couple in the harbour of Rotterdam. The skyline and the sounds were fading away as these two loved ones were getting lost in each other's eyes...
The bride and groom were sitting at the head table listening to toasts from their closest friends and family. I was awestruck by some of the words that were said about them a lot of times toasts can ramble on with readings straight from an electronic screen, but these were genuine and real and authentic and you could see that they were so real and so touching that even the bride and groom were caught up in the Emotions. I don't typically sit this close to the bride and groom during the toasts but they had these high tables at an elevated position and I was able to kind of just curl up down in front of them unbeknownst to anybody.
I just sat there and watched and snapped and watched and snapped and this was the byproduct of that patience.
A week before the wedding, the couple and I were getting to know the place. It's a picture I could visualize that day. Those roofs, stone path that seemed a perfect setting. The place is called specifically "Concejo Hospederia" and is in a village in the province of Valladolid called Valoria la Buena. I really love making.
