Fifty-Third Collection
It was tipping down outside but Abbie and Dan had complete faith in me when I said ‘you won’t get wet’ Well maybe they did just a little, but it was worth it. It was a DIY marquee wedding, so we had to make the most of the festoon lighting, add a little rain and a wonderful couple and this was the result
A very cool and relaxed couple on their way to say "I do". I loved their idea to have the couples portraits in a subway station and we had lots of fun creating this cool shot of them lining up with their reflections.
Nina & Daniel in 2018 photographed with a Drone in a very very hot season in the west of germany. Even the grass was drying out.
This was a chilly autumn night after the wedding. I asked our newlyweds to come outside for a few minutes to take the midnight shots of the wedding. The guests started to leave and I asked one of them to stop and direct their car headlights on the couple to form silhouettes.
We were at the Lincoln Memorial early one morning capturing our couples engagement session when the skies opened up and started to downpour - luckily we had an umbrella and the rain minimized the crowds. We were able to capture the rain and our couples silhouettes with an off-camera flash placed directly behind them and focused on the umbrella.
Sometimes people think the clouds aren't good for a photo session but in our case we love the elements because it tells the true story of the day! It was sunny and then the clouds rolled in so it was only fitting to make this photo a little more epic especially with the columns and that kiss!
Is always very easy to create a perfect image when you shoot a couple that is so much in love, that they forget about the camera and the rest of the world!
This awesome couple met at this bar, so we decided to do our photoshoot at this exact place. The reflection in the window, a glass of wine their hands and a fireplace right in front of them made for a really nice atmosphere :)
What a day! This loveley couple, Pepijn & Linda got married in a beautifull castle from the 13th century. This castle, called Castle Duurstede, is a perfect setting for an outdoor wedding and as you can imagine we enjoyed this day to the fullest :)
Later that evening we used the light from the castle with our own flashes to create a nice backlight.
Pepijn & Linda, thanks for this great day full of fun and love!
This image was taken at Braies Lake, in Italy, really a stunning place. From the wedding of Ilaria and William with their beautiful Wolf Athena.
We were originally supposed to go to Niagara falls with the couple to do their first look but a rainstorm canceled our plans; so after the ceremony, we found a hotel that used to in an insane asylum to use as the backdrop to photograph their couples portraits. Luckily the story brought out the clouds and we get beautiful reflections within the windows.
The park ranger was nice enough to let us take these final shots of the session before closing up the park. I don't like rushing especially hundreds of feet up in the air on a edge of a cliff but anything for my clients! We nailed this!
My perfect background for a love story is an old church with beautiful light! I found this old church somewhere in Transylvania, Romania!
