Sixteenth Collection
Lynsey and Ben created a stunning festival themed wedding that was 100% them, with their personalities ingrained in every detail. Before the wedding they mentioned to me that they would have a row of tents that would light up at night, straight away I had a pretty good idea of the shot I would capture. It was my last frame from an awesome day and it tied up the story perfectly.
After seeing the couples stunning venue at the London Barbican Conservatory, I knew it would be tough to try and show the sheer awesomeness of their venue. After looking for a higher vantage point I noticed I could place the couple on the balcony and get most of the venue into the image. I decided to shoot with a wide angle lens to show how big the venue is.
In the frame the couple from Odessa Elena and Dmitry. It was a great day! nature has done us an incredible gift in the form of a massive white clouds. Of course, we did not hesitate to found a spacious place and photographed a gentle kiss on the newlyweds. The love is the same boundless as it is a beautiful sky!
The weather had been on & off throughout, but during the evening the clouds parted to reveal the universe in all her glory. I was super lucky to have a couple willing to brave a cornfield in the pitch black, so we went out, set up a flash and shot 3 images - this was the first; a beautiful moment which the three of us won’t forget!
This picture was taken in a little village mear Hernani where Alaine and Aritz celebrated their wedding. There's a multinational company over there and ira building is really modern.
Both, the place and the building, gave is so many ways to take different pictures.
Although I knew the place, it was the first time I went there Ane I' m really pleased with the result. I love blending different types of architecture and specially the modern ones.
I photographed the couple in the jaffa area, the groom is from berlin and the couple lives there for the last 8 years. Yael the bride is from Israeli and they decided to get married in tel Aviv - jaffa. Yael is seen with her back to us but you can still feel how beautiful she is.
This photo was taken close to sunset at the Park Hyatt Aviara in Carlsbad, California. A beautiful resort overlooking the Pacific Ocean. The bridesmaids each had a different style of dress and were having fun taking their photos with our beautiful bride. I love the ascending shadows and the way the light hits the palm trees. The lens flare from the sun added extra impact to the photo.
Photographing this couple was very fun. He works in advertising and she is a dermatologist. For the trash the dress we decided to shoot at Parque Lage. It is a property located in Rio de Janeiro that was transformed into a public park in 1960. Its mansion was notably featured in the 2003 music video for Snoop Dogg's single "Beautiful" in 2003. With its beautiful architecture and a beautiful water mirror, was the ideal place to do this photoshoot. I asked the groom Felipe to spin the bride on the little island on this water mirror, wondering what the dress would look like the edge of the island.
The bride and groom has wanted a photograph in front of their wedding venue, Knowsley Hall in Cheshire, and rather than take this during the day I thought it would be better to wait until after sunset for a more dramatic shot. This was the last photograph I took at the wedding and also my favourite!
Purgatory – a mountain gorge, one of the wonders of nature in Ukraine. In the XII century, there was an ancient monastery. Whoever dares to pass through a very narrow gap between two steep rocks, he is purified from all previous sins! It was made during his honeymoon Pavel and Ekaterina. The presence in such a Holy place – the best start for a new stage in the life of newlyweds. Now their life is a white sheet of paper, and only they decide what to write...
This photograph was taken at Sandhole Oak Barn in Cheshire, UK. The barn was lit up with hundreds of fairy lights all over the ceiling and walls and looked amazing. I lit the couple from behind and experimented with shooting through different things to get this effect - which was all achieved in camera. This was the last photograph I took at the wedding.
Newlyweds Elena and Dmitry happy! Now this pair is enjoying the warmth of their feelings, youth and power! Together they firmly hold each other's hand. Let their rapid movement to the light would become infinite!
I always enjoy shooting portraits in silhouette and this one, taken in Formby in the UK, is one of my favourites. I tried to find a location where the couple could be very small in relation to the huge trees and also look for symmetry in the composition. Once I found the location I just waited for the couple to do something cool, which they did!
