About me

UK and Destination wedding photographer - 3 time BIPP North West Wedding Photographer of the Year.

Selected photos

This photograph was taken at a wedding in Tuscany, Italy. I wanted the light behind the bride and groom to be the same as the colour of the candles in the foreground.

This photograph is actually really simple and I just used a single speedlight to the light the couple. The venue is very dark so the biggest challenge was exposing for the lights and then lighting the couple. This meant everything else went very dark, which I really like.

I have covered a number of weddings this venue but wanted to push myself to take something different, so I walked far away from the couple and just asked them to walk hand in hand. This was taken in the very last few minutes of the evening light.

The wedding breakfast room was full of candles and fairylights so I knew that by lighting the couple and underexposing, with all the ambient lights in the room I could create something which looked really different.

I love reflections so when I saw this lake I couldn't resist a shot like this. I waited for it to go quite dark then used three speedlights for this shot. Two to light the tree and one to light the couple.
