Thirty-First Collection

This photo was done in Central London, the couple simply enjoying being together, no matter were they are, every touch is so special. And in this very moment groom to be was melting away of the soft touch his bride to be hair, all I needed to do just capture the moment and I's so pleased with the result!

I spent an afternoon with freshly engaged Chloe & Johnny in Bali. We shot this photo while taking a shortcut through the rice paddies to get to the beach.

This picture was taken on a sunny September afternoon in Valkenburg aan de Geul (The Netherlands). The houses in this city are made of a tipical kind of stone, which makes the picture look like it was taken in Italy.

I loved this organ inside the church. It was such a lovely backdrop for this couple, the light, the tubes and of course their adorable love for each other.

Vitaly and Anna are a sensual couple from Kiev. This photo was specially made in the state of the autumn city. The bridge over the Dnieper River, the overcast sky, streams of rain - all this enhances the romantic mood of the newlyweds. Now the bride and groom warm their feelings, their love is stronger than any bad weather.

Throughout the speeches I had been keeping an eye on the sunlight, it was one of those days where there wasn't a cloud to be seen and the sky was a gorgeous vibrant blue. We only had a few minutes so I seized the opportunity and ran out with Sam & Scott. The location wasn't planned / thinking quickly I got down low and lined up the picture - as my lovely couple practiced their dance I fired off 2-3 pictures and we ran back in to do it for real.

The alarm clock went off at 5 am to capture this couple at the rocky side of Aruba before sunrise. Once we arrived at the location everything was looking great. Until it started pouring rain. Unfortunately we were quite far from the car. So when we all arrive there we were soaked. Despite the 30 minute shoot I'm happy with the result an amazed by how the drone was capable of handling the strong winds.

This couple were childhood sweethearts, falling in love with each other at 15 years old. Fast forward over a decade later the love between these two and the connection was a delight to document. This was the very first wedding to be held at this stunning location in Cornwall and I was the first photographer to capture the beautiful gardens and this couple in love on a truly memorable day and venue.

I couldn't work out why this vintage car had a box attached to the side of it's boot until Phil & Izzy began to leave the car park of the Church - bubbles just started flying out of the back of it so I ran in close just before they pulled out and I managed to capture this image!

Being able to have opportunities like this as a photographer is incredible. All the pieces must come together. A beauty of a storm brewing in Brooklyn NY at the same time myself and the bride make our way to an ice cream parlor. The place she wanted to wait while the guests arrived at the venue. We had done a few photos in a light sprinkle then took cover as it really started to come down. As a photographers, myself and my wife are always up for anything. Pouring rain, blizzard, you name it. On wedding days, you always must be aware of peoples comfort levels. So we sat out the rain for a minute. I said I really didn't want to get her soaked before the ceremony. We sat for about 60 seconds before Meredith asked if I would distract her a bit while she waited. She didn't mind getting wet. No Problem! Photos in the downpour it was. Moving the umbrella to one side for a bit more fearlessness. I recently found out her mother commissioned an artist to do an oil rendition of this photo. This was something special.

Since the day I met this lovely bride and groom (Eliza and Brendan) for the first time, I knew it's going to be an awesome wedding! This vintage themed wedding was celebrated in Yorke Peninsula, Adelaide. everything about this wedding was so beautiful, every little element created a wonderful vintage feeling. It's a wedding photographer's dream wedding. This photo was taken right after the ceremony! It was the magical hour, and the perfect time for the couple to celebrate with a drink, as Mr & Mrs. Mass! The rustic couch and smoke grenades made the photo pop!

I would like to thank Eliza & Brendan for having me as their wedding photographer!
The mermaid bride... Out of the sea she arose and captured his heart.

For brides who want to feel like a mermaid on their wedding day, Playa Largo Resort offers a truly unique experience for couples to dive the shallow-water corals, shipwrecks and hidden treasures of the Florida Keys as they say, “I do.” Vows are exchanged on writing slates while fellow divers and witnesses look on. Before the newly married couple rises to the surface, they can anchor the roots of their new relationship by planting a coral reef fragment that will remain and continue to grow over the years, just like their marriage.

I like to ask the girls to pick up the groom for some fun photos, a bit of a twist from the traditional. Rarely has the groom ended up on the floor...but not never!

While searching for a unique spot on a golf course we pulled up to this little gem of a bridge reminiscent of a chicken coop. The structure made for some neat shadows and lines and it tied in perfectly with their country styled wedding. It's also an added bonus when your groom loves a good dip. Congrats, Justin and Lauren!

When we first met Martin he was feeling a little under the weather and, on a particularly wet and miserable day was not in the mood for the pre wedding shoot. Like most people he was a little uncomfortable in front of the camera. Fast forward to the wedding (and a could of drinks for dutch courage) he wanted a picture with the lads....... unfortunately the lads stitched him up good and proper..!! They were, of course, all suppose to jump............... :-)

Shooting in Indian monsoons is my favourite yet most challenging. The couple flew me down and themselves from different cities for their pre wedding and a v intimate beach side engagenent ceremony to Goa, a beach town of India. I kept praying to catch a beautiful sunset surely. The weather forecast showed monsoon showers through our stay. I yet didn't give up hope and prayed. The day of the shoot it rained all day and there was an over cast sky. Yet I kept shooting. When ever it stopped. Evening it began to clear out so we headed to the beach, just then dark clouds took over and it began to rain. Disappointed, we headed back to our rooms and changed. The couple had arrangements to make for their engagement so they left to do the same. I kept standing looking at the sky and praying for a miracle. Just then I saw a bit of sunlight show up . I immediately called the couples, we all ran towards the beach from our respective places just the way we were. There it was ...I witnessed the magical sky opening up to gorgeous colours. I positioned myself as per a frame I envisioned, instructed the couple on their spots and cued what I had it mind. All of it was happening in split seconds and minutes. It was a chaotic moment for me as a photographer to coordinate so much. Yet when the intention is strong the universe conspires. There we were all part of a magical moment, seizing it for ever. As the wise ones say " Magical moments keep happening all the time in the universe we just need to be present to appreciate and witness it , I was ! " :)

Katie and Richard were married in July 2017 at the Henry Moore Foundation in Hertfordshire, UK. The amazing Henry Moore sculptures that stand in the grounds of the venue provided with some amazing opportunities for photographs throughout the day, and in the evening we made our way to this particular sculpture to make this photo - I loved the arch that framed the couple, and backlit the shot for added drama.

Passionate couple, after a few hours of walking along the beach as the sun began to set i ask them to get close as i took out a long sheet of fabric two wrapped them up, the wind was strong and was not letting me wrap them. The sky was clear and i saw this simple elegant shot in mi mind, i let them simmer a bit in their closeness until he grabbed her leg and leaned in for the kiss a she pulled him a bit and BAM, best shot of the day.

These wonderful couple married in a small little German town on the Swabian alb. A gorgeous Mustang drove both to the amazing wedding location. This beautiful vintage restored sheep stall is placed in the middle of the woods. Around the stall are spacious flower fields. A very romantic place in the middle of nowhere. The sheep stall was fully decorated in a vintage style with many candles and wonderful white & green flowers. The bride was dressed up in a beautiful Vintage Bride dress with a lovely lace. It was a even for us a wonderful day with many deep impressions.

Who needs sunshine and spectacular landscapes for a wedding if you have the most stunning couple in love?
It was pouring down with cold rain, my hands we frozen but it was worth waiting and staying extra 4h to take this shot. Such a special day which ended this special way.

Humaa and Imran married in Manchester earlier this year. It was a spring wedding with the usual “English" weather. After moving to London they decided to redo the shoot and chose the wonderful Pergola in Hampstead Heath as the location and this time they were so lucky with the weather. We managed to shoot during the beautiful golden hour and captured some wonderful images like this one.
I love it when a couple sees each other for the first time. The groom was waiting nervously on the front garden of her parents’ house. The bride was waiting around the corner and slowly walked towards him. When he turned we could all feel his emotional response. Somehow the parents caught my eye, and seeing their proud, smiling faces really moved me. I’m so glad that Corné de Rijke offers me the chance to be his trusted second shooter, so my gratitude of winning my first ever awards goes to him.

Mosi-oa-Tunya meaning the smoke that thunders. With Victoria Falls being a natural wonder of the world its often crowed with many tourists at sunset. I walked with the couple to this spot and used them to block out some of the people as well as cropped out others, which gives this image the feeling that they had the falls all to themselves.
