Eighth Collection
This actually happend on my own vacation. We walked around The Eiffel Tower, when I saw a two photographers and a wedding couple. I just stoped and took a shot. It's was really excitement and kind of lucky for me to see this in Paris on sunset light. I wish the couple all the best and great pictures to the two photographers.
This old manor house is located near Moscow and is a popular destination among tourists and citizens. There is always a crowd of people, weddings, guests and photographers. So I don't really like to work in this place until now. We were very lucky to get there on Thursday and walk around the Park and completely empty territory.
It's not often we get the actual view of the bride and groom. The father of the bride had made a touching speech to his daughter and new son in law. The moment had to be frozen in time some how. The point of view can be so touching as it out you back into that moment. As wedding photographers we have the opportunity to let people re-live some of the most magical times of their lives.
This wedding was great! Grooms divine, fun!
When the dancing began, the groom's friends started throwing it up and that's when I took this picture. I love being in situations, and this photo charm me since I took it.
Some things never get old. Throwing leaves at people is one of those things. Since this wonderful couple had an autumn-themes wedding and the leaves were falling from the trees at that point, I couldn’t let this chance let me go by. Two people were assisting me in making this photo. I told them to pick up as many leaves as possible, and throw them into the air at the count of 3.
So they did, resulting in this photo. I especially love the expression of sheer joy in the bride’s face. It doesn’t get better than that!
This story happened on a country road running along the lake. The trees created a certain rhythm and I liked it very much. The evening sun beautifully highlighted silhouettes and reflections in the lake looked awsome. Thus the photo was captured.
This place was new to me and I haven´t visited there before. When we waited with groom bride to arrive, sun was shining and I was cursing about the hard light. Fortunately bride was almost 40mins late and the weather changed dramatically during that time, clouds came from somewhere and it threw very dramatic and gloomy mood above us. Right after bride arrived, we had so nice light and we were surrounded by tremendous clouds. Beautiful and lovely couple and despite we had very short time to shoot portraits before ceremony, we got superb set for them <3
Allister & Genevieve got married in Cancun, Mexico. The weather is usually great in Mexico, but you never really know how it is going to turn out. Only 15 minutes before this photograph was captured the sky was completely dark and it was raining heavily. We all prayed the storm would go away and it did for a brief moment. We had a very short window of opportunity to capture this image. The sky was perfect, the light was great, the scenery was beautiful and magic happened.
This wedding took place at one of the most beautiful places I've been to, a Unesco protected place called Lavaux in the Swiss-French region. The reception was in the middle of the vineyards with amazing views of the lake. My client, who invited all her fun girlfriends from Mexico asked me for a group photo with her friends. This photo was a non-literal & creative interpretation of their fun gathering, in that particular place and atmosphere. It was sunset time, I could have lighted the scene completely but then the image would have lost impact. Our eyes are not used to seeing this way so it makes us feel curious about the scene. I could have taken a simple and boring group photo. However, I wanted to show the reason why they chose this venue for their wedding, which was the great wine from that region, the views and the fun company.
So we decided to have a ride on the motor scooter just before the ceremony, they ride it to work everyday. We had so much fun that we almost were to late for the ceremony, so they will always remember how we had to rush back to hairstylist to fix hair and then to ceremony. I had lots of fun while working with this lovely couple.
I’d had this idea in my head for a while so I was stoked to find a couple that were keen to schedule a shoot that coincided with the full moon. Unfortunately it was very cloudy that evening, but there was a little gap in the clouds at the perfect moment. They ended up with an unique photo and got to witness an amazing moonrise first hand.
I was coming back from a 4-weeks roadtrip through all the US, and my plane landed in the morning in Paris. I then took my car, parked at the airport, drove 5 hours to the summit of the Puy de Dôme, the highest volcano in Auvergne, to join Marion and Christophe for their trash the dress session. We planned this on the last day on which the train would take us back after the sunset from the summit to the carpark, so I had no choice for the date!
When we got up there, it was raining a little bit, but we took it easy and took some pictures when the sun was peaking through the clouds. We also had a picnic up there.
We were walking back to the train station when suddenly the whole sky became red. I looked at them and told them to run with me to the edge of a cliff. When we arrived there, the sun was setting, and peaked through the clouds one last time. It was red, and the rainy clouds and the rain created a sort of very soft gradient from the sky to the valleys. The light was amazing. We had a 2-minutes window to get as many pictures as we could with this light, and this one came up. I was very jetlagged but I enjoyed it so much I didn't care anymore!
This couple eloped in Paris, and we started their creative portrait session at sunrise. No people, beautiful light, and we got lucky when all the birds came to visit! The iconic Eiffel Tower in the background made the one romantic shot!
The love and care shown in this photo is only completed by the beauty of the Spanish location. This was one of the so many gorgeous pre-wedding reception shots taken for this adorable lovers.
This photograph is a Self-portrait of "The love of my life and myself". I shot it in my great grandparent's home in a remote village in the South of India. This photograph is very close to my heart. I've always wanted to do a couple-shoot in this house for the beautiful antique looks that the house holds, maintained beautifully by my Grandmother. The first time I took my wife there, we took a few photos and it turned out to be an amazing experience! Winning the Wedisson award for this photograph is just an out of the world feeling for us and of course, the photographer, ME!
Photo from beautifull Seychelles and one of the most photoshooting beaches of the world.. Huge rocks and brave newly-married ready for any adventure...
Here in British Columbia we are blessed with the beautiful colours of the seasons. The cute couple really wanted to have something unique, so we found this. Beautiful deep blue sky contrasting the layered clouds and a sunset to warm up the couple with its golden colours at the famous Stanley Park in Vancouver.
The bride and groom both live on a ranch in the grasslands of Nebraska. Walking along the hills is something they loved to do when dating so we decided to take them out and have them walk those hills on their wedding day since the ceremony was on the brides ranch. The sun was setting and haze from wildfires 3 states away caused the sky to go deep orange. I love the moment of the groom leading his new bride down the ridge.
We`ve had very big luck to do this photo. The fact that the groom is a businessman with very little free time,I had to run over my rule of meeting newyweds before the wedding and do a single test shooting. Little advantage was that we knew eachother from another wedding. The weather was typical autumn with lots of fog. Wachau is a world known place along the Danube which was choosen from newlyweds for the wedding location. I had just one day to choose a location for the shooting and hope it would to fine. On the day of the wedding it was vaguely, but till the afternoon, the sun came out from nowhere so we had a perfect sunny day at the Wachau. Happiness smiled at us .
A wedding day without sunshine, but with lots of rain and wind... Not really the weather the bride and groom hoped for.Luckily we found a great indoor photo location for their shoot: an old factory with great light!
This photo was taken on the majestic "La Viña" church, located in Salta (Argentina), which stands out for its architecture.
There were moments during the ceremony when the priest asked for respect and silence, so I had to walk away from the altar.
That's when I saw the simmetry of the church and the beautiful scenery, so I took the picture the couple dreamed of.
Behind this image was an argument between the groom and I about the type of camera one should use and the technical features the camera has as he takes on photography as a hobby. Both of them, the weather and the sky were perfect. After taking the images and showing them to Ahmad and Nadine I’m sure they both are now convinced that ‘"it’s not about the camera but about the photographer".
I took this photograph at the end of the day, the couple had already danced and always make one last photo of them before we left. We were looking for some original site and found a room with a beautiful mirror. The bride and groom were so relaxed and had much connection between them. They embraced, and she stroked his face, was this the time that we take to photograph them. The photo is a reflection of them. I love the texture of the wall, along with the reflection creates a slightly mysterious image ...
This photo was taken in terms of wedding photoshoot for the bride Anastasia at amazingly beautiful park next to Elagin Palace, former imperial family residence in St. Petersburg, Russia.
During the summer time we have world famous WHITE NIGHTS period and this kind of sun you can catch only at 8-9 pm. We were right in time that day!
This is a wedding in Punta del Este, Uruguay. The bride and groom live there and they are both surfers, beach lovers, so this was the perfect place for their wedding. This moment was right after their first look in the hotel, when we were shooting some couple pictures. The moment just appeared: the bride, the bouquet, the high spot, so we did it, we throw the bouquet!
This is one of my favourite images of the year, and it just came about as I saw the bride and groom going off for a little walk together – so I just followed along, as you do! I kept away from them, and just let them be – that’s really the essence of what I love to do; just capturing real people, being themselves. I love to shoot wide shots like this, capturing the context, the drama of their surroundings. Of course, in this situation I was massively helped by the light, too – can’t claim credit for that!
After their ceremony, the bride and groom wanted to capture some photos around sunset time at the highest hill surrounding the valley. We all jumped into the father of the groom’s car, went up to the highest point, and captured some amazing photos. If you look closely, you can see their wedding ceremony location down below just to the right of them.
