Taking pictures of the bride in the morning is my favorite time of shooting at the wedding. I love to watch the bride, her mood, emotions. It's very touching.
This morning the bride was romantic and thoughtfully looked at their wedding dress, admiring its beauty.

This photograph was shot during my last wedding of the season. It was a lovely autumn wedding with falling leaves and amazing colors. The couple actually got married in a converted tree hut. At the end of the photoshoot, we needed to hide a for few minutes, because they didn't want the arriving guests to see them yet. So we decided to hide near the entrance of the hut. There was this beautiful wooden wall, which I loved right away. The colour and texture of the wood was a great fit for the autumn theme of the wedding. Combine that with a beautiful couple in love, and this is what you get!

This photo with beautiful bride Helen was shot in August 2015. When I found out that the bride's image and bouquet will contain a rowan, I immediately understood where and how I will shoot. And here's the result!

Usually this kinda pics we are seeing when the ceremony is over and couple is coming out of the church. This actual moment was captured while there was going couple´s outrance of wedding party. The whole day was magical and we were shooting this day with my colleague who videographed the day. We spoke afterwards that we just felt like we were part of those regular wedding guests, and not vendors. Lovely day, very beautiful couple and one of the nicest outrance I´ve seen!

See the shape of a strip of grass and trees. It makes sense that if this is a silhouette. It is very beautiful. I asked the couple to jump. To create the image, it looks more attractive than ever.

I think a beautiful photo can be simply made. This couple love beach and this is the reason why we shot here.
We climbed on the Rock and saw the beautiful large sea and the beautiful shiny sky. That's why I shot this photo.
Love starts from simple. And Love is so simple.

This photograph is from the post wedding of Silvia and Roberto, a couple who love the high mountain. Roberto asked marriage here so postboda photographs had to be done in this fantastic place of high mountain located in Salamanca, in the Sierra de Candelario, about 2000 meters.

This photo was taken during the exit of Stefania & Davide from their wedding ceremony in a tiny beautiful church in Valle Verzasca, Switzerland. The perfect example of being at the perfect place during the perfect moment and being fast. The exit lasted less than 30 seconds and I was waiting for their friend to walk back to the right side of the church with the wedding band they just cut - which completes the exit story. This photo summarizes the beautiful and joyful wedding they had.

This photo was taken in the private home garden there this lovely couple celebrated them wedding. It was so cloudy all day, we couldn't get any sunshine until we walked to the bridge which was behind these amazing bushes. And something magical happened! Evening sun came out and lightened everything around with this amazing sunshine, evening sunshine! We were just lucky and happy to be in the right place at the right time!!!

I always encourage couples to make their bridal party shoots more of a fun adventure. These are their closest friends on the greatest day of their lives so I think it’s important to give them some time to just hang out together and enjoy the day. Add one hungry goat which is partial to flowers and it’s laughs all round. Then once it’s time to shoot the bridal party photos everyone’s more relaxed and is genuinely having a good time which is what I aim to portray in my wedding images.

This bride and groom took photos after their wedding day, on their honeymoon in the Dominican Republic. They were fearless and amazing to work with, not giving up to get the perfect shot sharing a kiss underwater. It was breathtaking

I had this shot in my mind as soon as I got to the location and scouted it. I didn't want it to be too traditional and when I realised that the angle and composition made it possible to do a tilt-shift effect, we decided to go for it. The wedding day gave us some hard times though: It was an early winter day in Vantaa, southern Finland so it was not a surprise that the weather sucked. Barely over 0 celsius, super cloudy and it even started to rain a bit. It was getting quite dark too. We had no time to waste so we just went straight to this "main shot" of the day. We tried a couple different poses and the lovely wedding couple Anni & Lasse nailed it in this one. Phew. We were able to shoot maybe 20 minutes after this shot and then it got too dark & wet. Luckily we got enough good shots and even a couple of really great ones. Pressure cooking.

This picture was made during an autumn wedding in the South of Netherlands.
This happy family was playing with the leaves while I was taking pictures. The kids had a lot of fun playing. The leaves and the colors fit so perfect to the dress of the bride that I decided to send in this picture.Their wish was spontaneous pictures and this is the result.

Wout and Anique celebrate their wedding day on the beach in Noordwijk the Netherlands. It was summer but on their wedding day it rained the whole day. It was cold and the wind was really heavy. But Wout and Anique had fun the entire day. We make pictures in the rain and storm. And in the afternoon they want to walk in the sea in the wedding dress and suit. My camera was soakingwet but we had so much fun this day.

Hans and Nicole got married in my hometown Zwolle. At Librije's Hotel.
A really beautiful hotel, located in a building that used to be the prison of Zwolle. And it was also the spot where Hans asked Nicole to marry him. It was an autumn wedding with beautiful weather. For me this picture is the 'proof' that you can find great places to shoot wedding pictures everywhere.
I took this picture next to the hotel, in the middle of the city, at a parking lot.
But from the angle I chose, it doesn't show at all!

This great couple defied me and my team to this amazing shoot at Sesimbra, Portugal, in the most incredible beach, with an almost impossible access. The trip payed of! The scenery was perfect, as their complicity.

When rain invites itself to a wedding, you have to think quick and be creative. For this romantic shoot I took the couple to an unexpected place, the Rolex Learning Center: the campus hub and library of Swiss Polytechnical School of Lausanne (by the Leman Lake).
Kazuyo Sejima and Ryue Nishizawa, partners of the Tokyo-based design firm SANAA, are
creators nehing this unique architectural piece of art. Their building presents visitors with a concrete floor that slopes and swells like the surrounding Swiss landscape. Rounded openings here and there create intriguing light situations, while the curves create a soft geometrical environment.
We took a number of shots under the building as the rain kept pouring. Suddenly the rain stopped for a few minutes, and we took advantage of that short time to play around the openings. Never mind my jacket, or my pants. I lay on the wet floor and ask the bride and groom to come near me facing each other. It was like shooting the Dark Knight falling in love with his Batgirl. Yes, while I was lying there, ignoring the raindrops starting to fall on my face and my lens again, I think the spirit of Christopher Nolan was surrounding us!

It was my second wedding in this year and the "Trash the Dress" session we do in the Sierra de Cazorla.
This place is a wonderful hotel in the middle of the mountains. When I saw this huge umbrella, pool and view, I couldn't hesitate to make a nighttime photo. It was the last photo session.

I made this picture in one of the most important streets of downtown in my city Pereira, it is located 318 km from the Capitol of Colombia Bogotá.
I asked the bride Luz Andrea and the groom Albeiro to please stand on one side of the traffic light and when the light permitted for the street walkers to pass the street, to please walk across it and for the bride to see towards the center of the street where I was located with my camera.
This picture had to be done the faster way possible because I was in the middle of the street and I was stopping and complicating the traffic of this part of downtown . I wanted to do this picture because it's a place very famed and noticed to me and all the people of my region

This image was taken at the ‘Markthal’, a new and iconic building which has recently been added to the rich architecture of the city of Rotterdam. Peter and Sarah have a special connection with this place because they live right next door to it and do most of their shopping there, being it a huge indoor market. As such, it also features an underground car park and this is the escalator that leads to it. As I was drawn to the symmetry and shape of it, I asked the bride & groom to position themselves at the bottom and waited for the split second when no one else was on it, to get the shot.

I had spoken with Nefeli, the bride, only on the phone and my feeling was that I had known her for years... this particular wedding was not like the ones I usually shoot, that is without shooting the preparation of the couple. So, the first time I met the bride was the one you see in this picture ...the moment she parked her car in front of the church... that smile was exactly what I had felt on the phone! And I immediately clicked the image, looking also at the groom's reflection on the car window .... wonderful feelings that I have everytime I shoot a wedding.

I love the story of the beautiful bridal veil here and how the groom is helping the bride walk down the pier. To add drama to the shot, I rolled my pants and got low into the ocean to catch some of the waves breaking in the foreground. The risk of soaking my camera was totally worth it to blend the ocean with the sky and the couple, all in perfect harmony.

This image was taken at Ghyll Manor near Horsham in West Sussex UK and is one of those elusive “moments” at a wedding that I am always looking for. The bride and groom were in the receiving line greeting their guests, who were crowded close around them in the small courtyard. It was hard to get through the crowd of people so I stayed back and used my 135mm lens. I positioned myself so that they would be framed by the two groomsmen in the foreground, and was rewarded when the groom gave his new wife a hug. I love her happy smile and the protective expression on his face.
