Twenty-Eighth Collection
Getting up early to make this shot at the Reeuwijkse Plassen while the sun rises above the water. We were very lucky, in the morning it was rainy (you can see that on the jetty).
As a photographer I had a different approach to my wedding day. My husband and I are in LOVE with where we live. Montana has only one area code in the entire state and it's 406. Montanan's celebrate 04/06 every year and we call this Montana Day. Well, my husband and I on 4/06/17 at 12:30pm thought that day is the perfect day to say "I Do" so we ran down to a local store, purchased Montana sweatshirts, went and eloped! We where married on 4/06 at 4:06 in 406! After our little court house elopement we traveled to some of the tallest mountain peaks on the Mission Mountain range and took our own wedding photographs.
Sometimes you see pictures in development that you don't recall. This came out as an accident, as I forgot to turn of one flash. But the mistake made a beautiful silhouette on the wall, and the bride has this picture in big print on her wall.
Taken at Morton Corbett Castle, in Shropshire, United Kingdom, this was a very special shoot for Emily and Mark. It was a real pleasure to be involved.

I had just left this wedding for the day when I saw the most amazing orange sky beaming down into the field opposite the wedding venue. I ran back, knowing that we only had minutes before we'd lose the light, and grabbed the bride and groom. My heart was beating out of my chest as I knew this was going to be a great image and I had the biggest adrenalin rush achieving this!
In the Shangri-la Hotel in Muscat, Oman there is some stunning arabic architecture and I really wanted to infuse this on Shurooq & Fahad's wedding with their couple shots. They hired me as their photographer for the 'western style' part of their arabic wedding and during the couple shots I captured them walking underneath the archway as husband and wife.
These wedding rings are captured at the beach in the Netherlands. They belong to the beautiful couple Anke & Roman. In the morning we had some stormy weather but when we went for the ceremony the sun came out and we had such a nice shoot at the beach.
We simply loved these two! They were married in a Garden at a historic house in Key West and did not want Sunset Pictures at all. Once we saw this beautiful sky, there was little convincing needed!
I love the natural reactions of this bouquet throw. There was actual shoving and pushing and pile on at the end to grab it. The faces on the ladies are priceless.
The picture was takes at Mandarin Oriental London hotel just before the bride and the bridesmaids lined up for a group photo on the stairs. Not sure why groom was there too but him walking up the stairs makes the photo :)))
This unposed moment was captured in the final stages of Sharneโs morning preparations at Stanford Hall, just as her stunning veil was fitted. The air was thick with the usual pre-wedding nerves and excitement, and I love the look between Sharne and her bridesmaid, while her sister and mother look on as her transformation into a beautiful bride is complete.
Tami and Chris lived in downtown Seattle when they got married. Needless to say, it made the most sense to have their wedding in downtown as well. This photograph was shot at Pioneer Square right outside the venue. We only had a couple minutes before the reception started. With the bus quickly driving by, it truly depicts the essence of the couple's urban lifestyle.
When I had an inquiry by this couple, I thought the bride's name sounded very familiar. I was pleasantly surprised to recall that we had gone to summer camp together as kids and had remained friends through social media. The bride and groom were a wedding photographer's dream come true; they were completely in love and I did not have to fabricate any moment of this wedding. I knew I was going to get great photographs just seeing the way they looked at each other. Not only did the bride and groom look at each other with love and respect, but all of the guests looked at them in that light as well. This is just an example of how happy and long awaited this day was.
Little did Lauren know that when the IT company sent someone to fix her workโs system, sheโd meet Jonathan. After numerous conversations over the computer, Atlanta Braves games and plenty of traveling together, he proposed at a Hawaiian volcano overlooking lava!
Agent Jon Baker, the problem solver, and Lauren, the pilot with a fear of heights, came prepared at 5 a.m. with cases in one hand and aviators in another, ready to show off their love alongside astonishing aircrafts. We had such an awesome time capturing this fun and lively couple at the PDK - Dekalb Peachtree Airport!
Eugene and Elizabeth - a beautiful couple from Odessa! Now they are newlyweds. Evgeni works in the sea for a very long time. But he will always strive to return to his beloved Elizabeth. Only together they are really happy!
The bride has two loves, her groom and of course her horse. With the wedding shoot the horse also needed a place to complete the love.
The venue this wedding was held at, The Granary Estates, warned me before the first dance that they were using confetti cannons, and that they had not had any decent photos from previous attempts at this, so they really wanted me to try and capture the drama of it all - I think I did ok! I put up a couple of Nikon speedlights with radio triggers to provide me with some dramatic back lighting and they just so happened to be in the perfect spot when the cannons went off.
Sarah and James were over the moon with the image and it's certainly one of my all time favourite first dance images I have taken so far in my career.
I love to hear how my couples met and the beautiful stories that led them to the alter. Matt and Kelsey's love story is one of my favorite. They fell in love as young teens and have grown up together for the past ten years sharing the love of surfing. It made perfect sense that they would have a destination wedding in the Florida Keys and say their "I dos," oceanside.
Lottie & Mike got married in Sevenoaks, Kent & had the most beautiful reception in a stunning mansion house. We took their portraits in the surrounding gardens and stumbled upon this beautiful oaktree with the sun peeking through the branches.
Love in the gardens of the castle in Arcen - the Netherlands - During a day full of the rain we went into the castle for the wedding shoot.
This day was different from all other days. Heaven seemed to be pouring out from the sky as if to flood the ground beneathe me. I was so taken by the way it wrapped itself around and through this gorgeous tree. When Ivanka stepped into my camera frame, my heart skipped a beat. If light could speak, it would have sang ,"hallelujah! "
