This photograph was shot at a very beautiful town in coastal Karnataka, India called Kundapur. I have used flash and got in the fire work for the dramatic effect. This picture happens to be from my " Fire wool" series. The couple were great fun to work wit and we had a blast through the wedding.
Living in fairy tale is every bride’s dream and why don’t we make it come true during the photo section. With the castle as backdrop, and coincidently , a clock on the wall, as well as special light effect, we have achieved the mimic of the famous fairy tale story, making bride the happiest princess
Sparks (and bubbles!) were flying in the air. Add just a little bit of light and a lot of love, and you have an unforgettable wedding moment.
This beautiful cathedral veil, and this brilliant stained glass easily lent themselves to this perfect bridal silhouette. Absolutely wonderful.
This wedding was on the beautiful island of Barbados at The Royal Westmoreland Estate. Perfect location for your destination weddings.
A painted sky behind the Golden Gate Bridge was the perfect backdrop to this awesome afternoon in San Francisco. A slightly different view of the famous bridge and a wind that embraced them with a soft touch. In that moment, I snapped this timeless photograph.
One of the hottest day this year!
They just want to make a shot inside.
Lucky for me and them they did. :)
Created this awesome Black and White shot.
Don't forget about the other important family members on that big day! We took some time to include their baby in their wedding shoot, isn't he the cutest?
In a beautiful park nearby Ghent, Belgium, this surprising monument suddenly pops up.
This wooden monument represents a waving flag of peace, so a very symbolic place to make a wedding shoot.
This was, thanks to the amazing lines of the structure, the ideal location for the newlyweds Evelien & Tim
Katrina and Dustan were married with their family by their sides in beautiful Cabos Mexico! For this shot, the bride and groom and I took a boat out to a little island filled with soft sand, stunning rock formations and surrounded by the ocean. We got this shot just as the sun was disappearing behind the rocks and the wind was rolling in, it was truly beautiful!
This photo was taken at a wedding I shot earlier this year in Zante, Greece. The last bit of light was just creeping over the mountain as I went for a wander along the beach with my Bride and Groom, creating some gorgeous portraits for them.
Michelle and Peter took their marriage vows in a bandstand type gazebo outside at their hotel venue. I asked them to come out for a picture in the gazebo and afterwards I walked back towards the hotel with them and I saw how the tree and building worked against the sky. It was quick to do and it was easy but it relied on good framing and interaction to make it successful.
Waimanalo is a beautiful place perfect for a peaceful walk on the beach with tall trees and the sun shining down. A peaceful day where everything fell right into place. These two had met under difficult circumstances but surpassed it all earning them a meaningful present, filled with love.
The Groom on his way to his Bride. Sitting on the back of the Excalibur I shot several pictures, which was very difficult because of the moving car. I used a longer exposure to add some dynamics to the picture.
Amarins and Bram chose to get married in the beautiful northern french town of Salesches. After the official part, we chose to go outside and play with the wind and the veil. The photo is the result of perfect weather and a perfect model.
These two wanted an intimate ceremony with only the two of them. The photographers even signed the marriage license! They wanted the focus to be on them as a couple, and the love they shared. This allowed for ample photo time and the ability to play! This photo isn't post effects, it is literally a sparkler dangling in front of my lens.
I took this shot at a beautiful garden venue in Berkshire in the UK called Rookwood House. There are so many spots for photos around the gardens, and I captured this shot as my bride and groom walked beneath a stunning willow arch.
This photograph was taken at sunset at a wedding at West Tower in the North West of England. I wanted to do something different with the girl's silhouettes so asked them all to throw their flowers in the air at the same time.
I remember the first time I saw Gastown. The lights, the Vancouver rain, the old cobblestone paths; I knew I had to create magic there, just once. As soon as I parked the car in Gastown, I remember looking over to Gary and saying, "I wish it would just rain a little bit." We got out, opened the trunk to the van and felt raindrops. It was a calling.
I knew what I wanted in this shot. I already had it pictured in my head. The shot took a lot of patience and time to setup. Every time we got setup for a shot, there would be a line of cars coming through the intersection, forcing us to pick up our lights and moving over to the side of the road. We were wet, cold, hungry and it was starting to get late. I could see Preety getting colder by the minute and her asking for the time, wasn't a good sign either. I shouted out, "Guys, one more I promise, I promise! Just stand there in the middle of the intersection! Trust me on this one!"
I got down on the cobblestone road, lying down in a puddle. I remember ripping my, "We The North sweater. At that moment I remembered the saying, "An artist is someone who stands in the rain, and waits to be struck by lightning." I ignored the rain coming into my face and composed my shot. "Click" I knew I had gotten the shot! I looked at what appeared on my LCD screen and I couldn't have been happier; despite the wet socks, ripped sweater and the thought of pizza and Netflix!
We packed up the gear, and headed out of Gastown. Driving through Waterfront Road, I saw the Olympic Cauldron. I looked over and said, "Guys, one more I promise!..."
The running joke is that Tori and Jon's marriage was arranged by their mom's. The two ladies attended the same church and after becoming friends, realized their children would be very happy together. ;)
Tori + Jon agreed to meet and that was it for Jon. He knew Tori was the one. Less than 18 months later, the two pledged their lives to each other, in the very same building that first laid eyes on each other.
When Hannah and Sebastian contacted me I was pleasantly surprised. We are coming to The Netherlands this summer -they said- to get married at the Dutch coast. Wow hang on, they live in San Francisco USA (where they run a fantastic restaurant) and the coast there is -compared to ours- magnificent so why fly all the way here? Well, when your families are so internationally located over the world and Sebastian being half dutch it seemed a good choice to come over here and invite the whole family in Holland. The day before the wedding we went to Leiden for a pre-wedding photo session in a cute boat on the canals. The stars aligned; the weather was perfect, the skipper was helpful, the scenery picturesquely Dutch and the mood very happy and romantic. They are such a great couple who enjoyed themselves the whole session, they had a fab time! He said, well I know what to do if our future marriage needs some inspiration; we'll just book a loveshoot! Hannah& Sebastian you're more than welcome anytime - Next time maybe in San Francisco?
This was taken at the Fort Rodd Hill Lighthouse in Victoria, BC. Lisa and Jason were just in from the Gold Coast, Australia where they are from for there engagement shoot.
As the sun was setting on Nicola & Dan's wedding day we headed out to do some final portraits of the day. Dan is a keen cyclist and loves his bikes so I'd wanted to include one in a portrait. This was one of my favourite photos from the day.
A super fun and beautiful post-wedding shoot at the local surf spot Saltstein in southern Norway. Alexander and Natalia got married in Georgia last year and came back to Norway this summer to take some portraits by the sea.
The ocean and the sky , the blue and the white , the groom and the bride ... composition made about relation /opposition
This spontaneous and lovely couple was really into trying anything. Combine that with an absolutely lovely summer evening and it results in a simply stunning picture. Just love it!
