From the terrace of the Hotel de la Cité, Carcassonne at sunset, I was given a tip by a waiter who told me about the magnificent 'Vanilla Sky' about to appear. He wasn't wrong. A perfect skyline, caught just before the sun dipped beyond the horizon... love (and birds) captured in an instant :) www.lisaallenphotography.com
Just before Charles and Amy headed off for their portraits, they brought their daughter in for a few photos together as a family. Their wedding venue, The King Arthur Hotel in Gower (nr. Swansea) is host the most beautiful pond and meadow which allowed us to get this wonderful shot
Shaun and Lisa got married at Gladyfi Castle in Wales, when we were walking around the grounds, I noticed down a path a spot of natural light, I asked them to walk down and through a bit of a muddy patch and using the natural light this was the end product!
I've really never seen such a spontaneous, fun and loving couple. When you think about a dream wedding to photograph, this one it is! The whole day was perfect. Nice styled house, a great location to take pictures, perfect light and a perfect outdoor location where they were married.
During the photo shoot they just did what I had in my mind. Outside the love between them they had a lot of fun together. Best thing you can have to make the pictures.
Thanks for my first Wedisson Award and special thanks to my great wedding couple!
Megan and Carl tied the knot in a simply gorgeous outdoor ceremony at Fishely Hall in July 2016... It also just happened to be Fishley Hall's first civil ceremony and I had the honour of being able to capture it for them!
With a beautiful hand-crafted & rustic theme it would have been rude not to borrow Fishley's barley field for a few extra-special photos.
Keep an eye on timstephensonphotography.co.uk and norfolkbrides.co.uk for more photos coming soon :)
The most straight line at a steep gradient road in Hawaii. This road is Wilhelmina Rise. This photo seems very active bride and groom. By a photo tour, such as laughter is heard, it is a fun moment.
Lofoten (Norway)
I saw the sun hit the mountain in an opening through the dark clouds so we stopped the car and walked up on a path to a green hill.
The Caledonia Peak is one of the highest elevations of the Sierra with 2257 meters of altitude , and has one of the most beautiful views of Nova Friburgo . Months after the wedding of Maiara and Jonatas , they accepted the idea " half-mad " . We climbed a car stretch , walk more than 50 minutes , it rained a little and the temperature changed very fast. But all the effort was worth it , we did amazing photos!
Rain in the air and we had to take cover. A few loving words in her ear and he got all the love back. This is a moment of a little peace before the wedding and celebration.
When we photographed Jen and Eric's wedding in early January, on a very cold day, I knew that would not stop us from being fearless and dedicated. Towards the end of the night, I took them out for a short walk on the grounds of one of my favorite places to photograph a wedding, Arrowhead Golf Club in Wheaton, Il. Arrowhead not only provides amazing backgrounds throughout the year, they also have amazing staff and f00d :)
One of my favourite venues in all of Toronto, every time I go to the Graydon Hall Manor we are able to capture stunning photos. I love it when the couple are able to have a little moments while we move back to capture the whole mansion.
This beautiful scene was captured in the Archipelago of Los Roques, Cayo Muerto, magical place of my beloved Venezuela. Valentina and Christian came for their honeymoon and spent two wonderful days in this paradise of warm waters. When the place you have to work with is so beautiful, the challenge becomes bigger than you could imagine.
Going to a waterfall during the fall for a photo session did not turn out to be a great idea when we arrived. Half the fall had a lack of water coming down, and the small shift in angle led to this picture perfect discovery!
In the castle of Berlanga. Oh you russet or yellow
Or a white rose garden deleted,
magically leaves your past
This is a special image taken of Corrin Stellakis (Miss New York Earth United States) of Syracuse NY & Tyler Eddy (Personal Trainer & Firefighter in the National Guard) of Mesa, AZ. This image was taken at Chittenango Falls, a place they visited on one of their first dates. Here is their love story written by each other. Grab a tissue and read how God brought these two together when they live so far apart.
Tylers Love Story:
What is love? A feeling, an emotion, a response, hormones, a hole to fall into? …no…love is more than any of that. Its a journey. A story. And here’s mine.
Growing up, I lived a simple life; something our culture has lost amidst the thirst for simplicity. My day consisted of well structured education from my mother (I was homeschooled) and as soon as the tasks for the day were completed, my brother and I would head to the ponds beside our house and spend hours, catching, identifying and recording various indigenous, ectothermic specimens. We aspired to be the next Crocodile Hunters.
Time went on, Jr High, became High school, High school became a diploma, and a diploma became opportunity. I used that opportunity and joined the US Army. I joined as a firefighter, and spent a number of months traveling the country getting trained in both combat, and fire suppression. Upon my return home, my current girlfriend and I decided we were not meant for each other and broke up after a year.
I enjoyed my independence, both from relationship, and the meticulous studies of school. I worked in various fields, favoring physical labor, and skilled customized wood crafting. I met many people, but most had three things in common with me. They were rough by nature. They were hard workers, married to their job. And they were men. Long story short, I knew I wouldn’t be starting a family with any of them.
Because of my testosterone filled social circle and busy schedule (not to mention, the state I resided in had more head of cattle per capita than humans) I decided to try dating websites. You’ve heard of them, Tinder, Hot or Not, Plenty of Fish, Zoosk, Farmers Only… I figured, I would toss the proverbial net out there and see what turned up. I met many individuals, but none that significantly stuck out. Corrin was one of these. She was beautiful, had a profile that was put together well, and seemed very accomplished. She was what we could call “my type”. Brunette, left handed, booty, mature, 40/20 vision, God fearing…the list goes on.
I connected with her; after we started messaging each other, we realized there was a 2,000 mile problem. Our homes. We lived almost as far apart as the Country allows. Realizing the enormity of the dilemma, we turned our attention elsewhere and tried not to let our minds wander about what could have been.
I ended up dating casually and talking with more localized matches, while Corrin continued to day dream regularly about the mysterious hero in Arizona. A number of weeks later, Corrin finally could not stay quiet any longer, and she used my adorable german shepherd puppy I had recently gotten as a median to strike up conversation.
Okay, truth is, I was a simple man, with not much to offer a gorgeous model, pageant queen, public speaking piece of perfection like Corrin. Talk about the complete package. I started talking with her more regularly and gave my puppy extra milk bones for bringing us back together.
We had the cloud of distance hanging over us and decided to just get to know each other and see what happened. Our relationship was like quicksand- the more time we spent together, the deeper we got. We facetimed, called, texted, and emailed. My childhood friend heard all about her from me and I even told my parents about her so you know it was getting serious.
No matter how crazy my day was or how wild my life got here in Arizona, I had a beautiful confidant waiting for me to get home (even though she was 3 hours ahead in time) and let me vent. We grew close and since I hadn’t been comfortable enough to open up and be honest with people I had only dated a few times, she became the most important woman in my life.
I finally saw the need to visit her in person and spent a week with her family in New York. It was a wonderful experience and led to her coming down to spend time with me and be introduced to my life. The rest is history. Every couple of months, either her or I fly 6 hours one way to spend a few precious days with one another, and we spend the time in between reminiscing about our last visit and counting down the days to the next.
I guess there is no exact definition for love. It depends on the individual, on the story. But I have my own definition…I even have a synonym: Corrin. She embodies the most caring, patient, loyal, empowering facets of love and I’ll never be complete without her. She’s my everything, forever and always.
Corrin's Love Story:
“Oh...he is cute, and he has a puppy in the picture. Bonus points! But, how do I have his snapchat? I know I have seem him somewhere before. Oh my gosh, this is the guy from that dating site I tried that time. How did I forget about him? Oh yeah...he is from Arizona... that is so far! But he is so handsome! It wouldn't hurt to message him, you know, see if he remembers me.”
And that is how it all started! He remembered me. I can still recall his first text, “Of course! You’re the gorgeous girl from New York.”
And so it began. You know how this goes. Snapchats, messages, tagging each other in posts on Facebook, face timing for hours on end, those night long phone calls, wondering why he wasn't texting me back, and then getting butterflies as soon as he did. Those long distance relationship. They are rough, but you do communicate well, and you can learn a lot about a person when all you can do is talk.
I absolutely fell in love with the way that he carried on a conversation, and how he could do so many different accents, and his dorky reenactments of The Lord of the Rings, and how we dreamed together, and how hard of a worker he was. The single thing that I admired most about him though was his faith, and his desire to fulfill his life’s purpose.
Months went on, and we finally were able to meet in person. He bought his tickets, and was flying to New York in the beginning of July. I stood waiting in the airport for him to walk through the gates. I was filled will nerves and excitement! What would It be like to finally meet him? Would he look the same in person? What if there is no chemistry? And then I saw him. His gold tinsel hair, his big beautiful hazel eyes, his strong stature, his white smile, and adorable dimples. He walked up to me as I ran up to him, and dropping his bag in one swift move he
embraced me for the fist time. He was perfect. Everything that I had been waiting for these past few months.
I have replayed that moment in my mind over and over again! Sometimes its the only thing that gets me though the long months of not seeing one another.
Tyler, and I visit each other as much as we can. The last hour of our visits are heart wrenching, and its as if I can feel the seconds tick by. Letting go when its time to step through security is always the hardest part, but its never a goodbye. It’s an “Ill see you later.” People always ask me if its worth it, and nobody ever believes it could really last. Tyler and I are so blessed to have found each other, and to have such a strong love. We have gone through our fair share of ups and downs, but we have always come out stronger. Our love is extraordinary.
So we end up here. Outfit changes, looking into each others eyes, laughing, falling on slippery rocks, laughing some more, and making more wonderful life long memories with every photo taken. Thank you Betsy Duell Snyder (Simply Time Photography) for being a part of our love story.
She is Justina, i took this pictures in the house of her parents. These house was incredible, pure art architecture. So we did a little walk around the house and i see this blue door, of her bedroom. I love blue! So i put a flash behind her, ask she too look at me and shoot.
This was almost the last photo taken at this wedding.
I had an idea to use the lights and the couple was backlit from behind.
Just a shot with loads of bokeh and flash.
I love shooting this!
This gorgeous couple were up for anything with their Nebraska, USA engagement session. They walked through acres of cow pastures till we came across this neat old building. I looked up and said "Will you go up there?" They looked at each other and said "Heck Yes!" Best couple ever!
Thanks to Steffi and Emanuel for your great use during photoshooting, I love this picture :-)
The picture was taken in Styria / Austria
Rebecca wanted to toss the bouquet, but in style! As she stands on the balcony her eager single ladies wait below, and in a split second this sensational moment was documented.
This was shot just before I created an epic sunset picture.
They needed to jump over a little pile of water.
Happy I took the shot! :D
Thanks Weddison for picking this one!
Lauren & Mitch's wedding was in beautiful Montego Bay Jamaica! While we were roaming around looking for places to take photos we came across a beautiful late 1800's church. However, after taking a few photos in front of the church, I noticed a stunning tree beside it with some goats and animals roaming around! I loved this shot as it really showed the atmosphere of Montego Bay and Jamaica!
After breaking away from the craziness of the wedding I took Brooke & Dennis down to Clover Point here in beautiful Victoria, BC. Brooke was an absolutely stunning bride! Not only was she 8 months pregnant at the time, but she was also battling cancer. In this quiet moment by the water she told me it was the happiest she'd been in a long time. Not only is Brooke the mother to a beautiful daughter Kennedy, she is now cancer free!
Teachers of children who travel with their parents through the country.
That is what this wedding couple is.
So how nice is it to do the shoot at the funfare!
I just love it when people just do what they love the most for their shoot!
