I'm slightly animal obsessed - dogs and cats, don't ask me to choose! I own too many house plants and I spend too much time binge watching Netflix TV series. I love colourful stuff, in particular the colour green and my photography will always reflect that! My approach to weddings is super chilled - I go with a fly-on-the-wall approach for most of the day although I prefer the term 'ninja'. Your gallery will be 90% documentary and 10% awesome couple portraits. If that sounds like a good mix then I'd love to hear from you!
Winning photos
I used the PhotoPills app to see where the sun would be before it dipped behind the hill and asked my couple to come out for a few quick photos! I love the light in this.
90th CollectionA quick moment in the garden at Middleton's Hotel in York for my couple. They were so laidback, I absolutely loved this wedding!
88th CollectionI wanted to make my couple pop against a dark background but still include the industrial features of the venue so I used the roof to add interest and draw your eye to the couple.
87th CollectionThe couple arrived at their reception venue before the other guests so I took the opportunity to get a photo of them together with the stunning view.
86th CollectionI wanted to show off the beautiful features of mill wedding venue so I silhouetted them against the window so they'd stand out more. I love the asymmetry of the wall light on the left too as it gives the photo a bit of character with its imperfect-ness!
83rd CollectionThe venue had a wall of fairy lights all the way down a corridor and I knew I wanted to use them in a photo somehow so I positioned the couple at the end of the hall and lit them with a flash and used the lights in the foreground to create the bokeh effect. Their wedding was in November - but they had sun and blue skies the whole day so I wanted to give them something with a bit of magical and wintery feel too.
82nd CollectionThe yurt at this wedding looked so cosy and inviting! I knew it would be the perfect magical background for my couple so we made the most of it before their guests sat down to eat.
76th CollectionAs an ecologist (bride) and keen climber (groom) my couple wanted their pre-wedding shoot to be as close to nature as possible in order to reflect their personalities. This was one of the last shots of their Peak District session, right before the sun dipped behind the hills.
