The bride & groom were married in the countryside of Northern England and what an amazing sunset to end the day with! Taken on a 17mm lens, I used a handy pair of trees to frame my couple and the result was like something from a Disney film. I love the romance & mystery of this wide silhouette and wonder what adventures this couple will have in the future. The princess and her prince.
The picture was taken on the registry wedding day. I took them outside and take some pictures of them alone, and asked them to rehears the valls for the wedding party, and they did, in the shore of Rio de la Plata, in Montevideo.
The wedding day of Maija and Oiva was all about relaxing and having an awesome wedding day. Maija and Oiva were very easy and fun to work with - they were constantly fooling around and they were ready to throw themselves in to the game.
We shot firts set of portraits before the wedding ceremony. At midday, light wasn't too good so I needed to get the couple away from direct sunlight. I came across this corridor and placed the couple just in the end of it. First I took some basic silhouettes but I just couldn't get the frame I wanted. I knew that this location had potential so I decided to add some flashes and voilà.
We all know that moment when after shooting you just can't wait to get to the post processing. This was one of those moments.
I met Manyi & Alvin through mutual friends and from first time we met I knew these guys would be great fun. I like to show off the wedding party as much as possible and even though I give direction for the shots I like each person to give a little bit of their personality to the shot. I think what makes this image is the groomsman being dragged behind the bride on the ground and the expressions of everyone.
This couple wed in Seattle, WA and really wanted some romantic photos at night after the wedding day was over. We headed over to the Tacoma Glass Museum, and as soon as I saw these gorgeous glass statues sitting in water, I got down on the ground to get a stunning reflections of all the glass structures, as well as a reflection of the couple as they shared a kiss.
The warm sunset hugged the couple gently in the last bit of their engagement shoot that day! Alvin enjoys spending time with Kori whenever he can. Even the littlest thing, as long as they share the moment together, he feels like he is the luckiest man on Earth. It is this feeling that they know they will need to stay together, forever.
Each wedding is unique. Each wedding has an individual approach and it has its own history, which should be treated as something completely new. Wedding Day is a kind of a starting point. It's the beginning of a new relationship. I've known Oksana and Alexei for several years. We met occasionally at their friends' wedding I photofraphed. During that time we exchanged mutual trust, which is, in my opinion, the most important thing between a couple and a photographer. The wedding style was so precise and harmonious with their inner world, which made it more simple. Location of the shooting was not chosen by accident. Oksana and Alexei are very athletic guys, and I wanted to emphasize their athletic grace with intricate lines of the interior of one of the most beautiful hotels in Moscow. Rich interior highlights their rich inner world. I asked them to move a little to the rhythm of the dance, to look each other in the eye and talk with their eyes. They began to move looking into each other's eyes. Suddenly, at some point, Alex tilted Oksana and I had only not to miss that emotional moment.
The couple were fond of nature and greenery and so we chose Yercaud, a hill station located in the South of India, for the shoot. Set at the edge of a mountain that gave way to a cliff, a cool breeze hitting our shoulders, the evening sun basking us in its glory and the beautiful tree becoming a silhouette under the suns might. The couple took a few mins off the shoot to relax and that's when I conceived the composition of this frame and even before they could realise that I was photographing them, those moments had become something beautiful to cherish forever.
Silhouettes remind us that there is something larger at play around us and show that less detailing is stunning as well
Set on the beautiful cliffs in Montauk LI, this amazing couple said their I Do's where it all started for them. The views here were so breath taking it looked like something out of a movie. It makes you realize that if you can take a beautiful couple, a beautiful landscape and an unforgettable day, you create a forever lasting moment for everyone to have.
Vinci, the birthplace of the great Leonardo.
A rainy day. We all know the spouses are always a little sad when their big day is ruined by bad weather but Marco and Giulia were not scared. They have decided anyway to be photographed in the place that we had chosen together.
In the rain, without fear to dirty the suits in a beautiful forest of holly oaks, is born this photograph.
The time of sunset is magical. I never tire of photographing the sky and its colors and shapes, is the best background!
The photo was taken in Bejuma Venezuela in a magical place beside the river where we could see these bamboo, just I saw that bow that looked like a door I decided to put the couple there this couple loves nature and this place is identified with them.
Wedding day of Tomas and Milla-Sofia was an amazing late summer Saturday in Helsinki. We have had a relatively bad summer in Finland but this Saturday was getting warmer than we were used to. Sun was shining from the clear sky and everybody was taking the most of it. We had a portrait session in this photogenic little island of yachtsmen after church ceremony in central Helsinki. Milla-Sofia who is a passionate sailor wished that the marine atmosphere would be present in the portraits.
After a long but rewarding day while walking near the yacht docks nearby the wedding reception I noticed that we would witness one of the most beautiful sunsets of the summer and I got this idea of a late night portrait. I ran back into the wedding party and asked to steal the couple for the last time before I would leave and thankfully they believed that I had a perfect idea.
Silhouette of the couple is a great way to let the couple memorise their special day in the future when they get older together. Having them surrounded by the sea and capturing the moment with their beloved home city Helsinki with a beautiful sunset in the background makes this picture all they will need when it comes to an unforgettable memory.
After photographing the bride’s portraits, this was a moment captured of the bride walking back to her room before the ceremony. To capture her silhouette through the trees, I sprinted across the grounds to the opposite side. I had a few seconds to snap a few frames and the moment passed. This was one of her favorite images of the day.
This lovely and relaxed Bride didn’t worry about the weather, the wind and her wedding dress. She was enjoying her wedding day! As the wind was taking her wedding veil, she embraced the moment and had a laugh.
This photograph is from the wedding of Natalia and Ruben, a brilliant couple who organized all your wedding fondly. The session conducted in a typical village of the boyfriend named Candelario, a beautiful mountain village in the province of Salamanca in Spain. This house only live in the summer and preserved as it was almost a hundred years ago; We went up to the attic of the house I saw a window covered with an old sheet that generated a light and a wonderful texture. So the contrast of the old with a gorgeous girlfriend with a super elegant dress made to measure and exclusively by the Spanish designer Lorenzo Caprile generated me a picture full of feeling.
Bali is often referred to as “The Island of Love” and it’s the perfect place to get married. Kimberley & Craig had an amazing wedding day at Villa Bayuh Sabbah, perched on a cliff top, 50 metres above the dazzling azure sea, with spectacular bird’s eye views from the Bukit Peninsula. This was the last photo I took for the day and ended up being their favorite
I had the pleasure of photographing my sister & her fiancé on the beautiful East Coast of Barbados. Our sunsets are insane and while I knew I wanted this shot beforehand, the colours blew my mind and made it even more epic than it was in my head. Thanks, Mother Nature.
This photo was one of those moments when everything aligned. The weather, the light, and the right couple all came together perfectly to create an incredible image.
Rose and Evan were a down to earth couple from Northern Queensland. They chose to travel to Queenstown, New Zealand because they wanted to get married on the snow.
They had skied a few times before so I convinced them to catch a chair lift to the top of Coronet Peak ski area, then hike 30 minutes into the back country to this incredible rocky spire.
The snow was up to our knees, and there was a narrow slippery ridge they had to navigate onto the relative safety of the spire, but Rose and Evan didn’t complain once.
The result was pure magic.
This is what i call a GREAT kiss, and being in the right place at the right moment.
This young couple were demonstrating their love all the wedding.
Here in Uruguay, are using this confetti in lots of events and weddings. This, I think, gives a special moment for the couple and the party.
Sarah & Greg came to us looking for something different and wanted a fantasy storybook type of engagement photos. We spent almost a full day with them and struck gold nearing the end of our shoot on Burnaby lake. We couldn't have wished for a better sunset and the classic example of being at the right place at the right time. They were meant to be!
After their wedding reception in downtown Seattle, WA, the bride groom and I headed to the city next by the famous Pike's market to get some night shots in the middle of all the hustle and bustle. After taking some photos on the cobble stoned streets, I asked the lovely couple to take one last image in the car, and had my assistant light them from behind the car on the other side. We ended up creating the striking light as the couple leaned in for the last kiss of the night!
