Twelfth Collection
That wedding day was in Seattle WA, it had been raining all day long. Yet, when Oksana and Valety were together, the gloomy weather was forgotten. For the young love was in the air for these two love birds. While taking the shot I wanted to capture the rare moment between the bride and groom, the look of love and joy that would last the whole day. The vintage "Packard Super Eight" was a huge plus for the shot. Its details made the picture its own kind of uniqueness and gave off a vibrant look.
Kelly and John's wedding took place at a beautiful lakeside in the area of Amsterdam, The Netherlands. For their wedding shoot we started out with some great shots aside of the lake itself, but a little further up the road we discovered this small but overwhelmingly green park where the roses were in full bloom.
Kelly and John are actually a sweet, but also a powerful couple. So, their wish was to see romance, as well as fire and power in the Personal Wedding Art we had to develope for them.
In this picture we framed them exactly in their personal interaction. Of course the kiss draws attention, but especially the way the couple is holding hands appealed to us. As if all the sweetness of the roses and the softness in the many shades is being levelled in the couples kiss and the way they hold hands.
This was a cold, outdoor winter wedding in the middle of December at Arrowhead Golf Club in Roxborough, Colorado. During the ceremony snow clouds moved in and a light dusting started to fall- it was beautiful! But certainly cold. The clouds blanketed the area, and at sunset after the ceremony we headed to this spot for a few portrait photos. The result was a moody winter scene and I was absolutely floored with this image!
We love this image, captured in the back of our couple's wedding car, a beautiful old Jag from Belle Limousines in Perth, Western Australia. The bride and groom chose the beautiful Brookleigh Estate for their wedding, a stunning equestrian venue, you can see some of the paddocks in the background. The limo driver was very accommodating when we asked if we could take this shot from the driver's seat. The shot is very natural, the bride loved 'putting her feet' for a bit.
When we organized this session in Paris with Agnes and Jonathan, Agnes who’s also wedding photographer, asked me if I could build a few images with slow shutter, like I did with bikers or peoples in the street on other pictures I shared on my blog. Since we were in Paris, I thought to the subway and she said me that there was a subway station who was more pretty than others. So we went in and I asked them to make hugs on the subway platform. Then I went on the other side of the railway and we waited for the train. I had prepared my camera and now I had to be on the good height to capture them trough the train’s windows… I shot several time with high cadence and when the subway stopped, I found this picture that I was glad to offer them.
Best part of being a photographer is capturing love stories and expressions of people's feelings of their true love. This stunning couple is someone I will never forget. They are a match made like no other! So passion and their love for each other is absolutely irresistible! We took this photo in my hometown in one of my favorite locations, Whatcom Falls Park. I've always wanted to do an engagement session here and this couple was perfect for everything I have ever envisioned!
This shot was taken at the very end of this beautiful couple Engagement Session. We were leading back when I spotted a nice small wall and decided to quickly pose the couple on it and take advantage of the glowing sunset sinking slowly into the mountains. It seems that it is always at the end of a couple session that the best photos are taken.
David and Nicole came to Oman to share their vows at the Chedi Hotel in Muscat. David's family have been living in Oman since he was young, and Nicole a teacher from New York met David in the US. Their ceremony was super intimate, I was booked at the only photographer, with no guests I became the witness as they just shared their vows on the beach whilst the sunset. Just after they finished we had limited time to shoot any decent couple shots as it goes dark very quickly in the Middle East. I wanted to give them a variety of feelings in their images so I decided to change the pace a little bit an encourage their fun side. The light was perfect and set up a single light and asked them to jump. It really looks like they are flying away in this picture and the rest of the evening was full of laughter & love.
The idea of this image was born from the desire of the couple, Elisabetta and Andrea, to have a photo under the huge tree, how a representation of their love, the tree of life with huge roots and ancient trunk, that not even the blackest storm can fold.
The atmosphere was perfect, the sunset visible in the background, an extraordinary light that illuminated the dense leaves and... their sweet embrace.
This photo was shot in a Tea Estate in Kotagiri, which is near the Queen of Hills in Tamil Nadu, India. The golden hour pictures are always beautiful and I must say that Sowmi an Shiv made my experience even more memorable. The sun was so bright when it came out! It was the brightest golden hour that I've experienced so far!. I set my frame and I asked the groom to take her hand and walk down. Nailed it in the first shot itself!
Venues and our local historic building, The Hycroft Manor is just lovely. Not just the building itself but also the plantation around it! We were luck to have found this set of stairs under the two over shadowing trees. Under these trees the couple kissed and it is beautiful!
Knowing the bride and groom well is always an added value to your work, They push you to see from a different perspective, the amazing couple gave me the right perspective in this shot.
A calm beach up north in Virar, Maharashtra, not too many people and eyes to make the couple all nervous. They got into their groove at once and made the shoot for all of us so much fun. Christoswin and Renita walked along the beach playing the guitar and singing to their favorite songs. As we went along suddenly the skies changed and as the sun was about to set, the sky got all dramatic and created such an amazing backdrop for the beautiful couple.
Castell del Remei; a wine cellar, built in 1780.
Marc and Lidia chose this spot for the Post- Wedding. You could feel the moisture and the smell of wine while working , barrels and stone corridors invited you to enjoy the moment. I will always remember this picture in a special way.
That is Jim and Sofia, a lovely couple. This picture was captured at the end of the shooting that was made in the woods of Pelion in central Greece. The bride said she would like to look like a fairy tale and that loves fairies. So I made this and she loved it. I said to her "She guide him to her home after a magical day in the forest" She answered me “Anyone ever saw him again” ¨J An awesome day with a great couple. I loved them.
Beautiful young couple Jacob and Christina. Their wedding pictures have traditional Ukrainian elements: a white dress and a wreath of flowers on the bride's head.
The location happens to be at backwaters near Mangalore, India. I must say the couple were very interesting and open to ideas. The bride & groom was more than willing to experiment. This shoot happens to be the most challenging one. This was shot with long exposure.
Two of the major challenges were the fire wool works and the water. Reason being the water was never stable which in turn kept moving the boat and in addition to this the person handling fireworks had to keep safety in mind and in the process kept moving the boat which was used as support for him to carry out his work. After one and half hour, we were able to pull it off. Must say this experience redefined patience.
Daile & Nando are two people with just a huge heart; two very loved human beings with endless amounts of love to give back. The sea has played a big roll in their relationship. It's their favorite place, especially the one in this piece, Punta Cana, Dominican Republic, where Nando proposed to Daile. Here, surrounded by salty water, reef and the sky; embraced by God's great creation. I, at first sight of this paradise, never doubted this would be the best place to capture the past, present and future of their beautiful life together. (Note: If it's possible to place the complete photograph without cropping, I would truly appreciate it since every space inside this frame means a lot to me.
This photo was taken during Mark and Becca's secret elopement in Paris. The two of them also snuck away to Paris and had us capture their elopement. They had an intimate ceremony in their Airbnb. Prior to the ceremony we photographed around popular Paris sites, in search of a different perspective on the Eiffel Tower.
This picture is taken in Oye- Oersta in the west coast of Norway. I had a great day with this amazing couple. The photoshoot was filled with laugher and joy from beginning to end. We did several shoots in the area with majestic fjords and mountains. This is a picture that symbolizes the married couple, love laughter and happiness. It makes me grateful to be a part of it.
These two nice lovers wanted something industrial (at least for a part of their couple session) for their wedding day. Indeed, Jerome like street art and underground pictures and sometimes he photographs it. They found a very nice place in Luxembourg a few weeks before and we were going in when we found barriers before the place. There was a big sunlight and we were very disappointed, especially the groom who wished so to have pictures in. So we took a few minutes to go in an other old abandoned factory and when we came in, I told her that we could do something which would balance the problem we had at the other place. When I put them in the sunlight of the window, I understood that I was right. I wasn’t mistaken. And the picture enjoyed them very much.
Tim and Cornelia is one of the most loving and genuine couples I've even got to work with! After meeting them, I knew I wanted to go an extra mile and create an epic engagement session! I was absolutely stun when I saw this thick layer of fog when we arrived at the location! It was breathtaking!
This photo is very close to my heart. The couple, are my dear friends, Amrita & Nick. This was shot a few days before their engagement at Central park, New york. My wife Nikithaa and I were having a ball of a time doing their outdoor shoot. Amri, my childhood friend was too shy to pose for me while she was posing away to glory for my wife. When I saw this bridge, I asked them to go to the far end of the tunnel and asked Nick to carry her, aaaaannd Voila! :)
At the heart of downtown Vancouver, we came out after sunset. I looked for an angle to show even in the busiest part of the city, there are still a lot of greens to make this city one of the best voted cities to live in. Of course we had some city lights as bonus which made the picture beautiful!
One of my unforgettable weddings, this image was captured when bride & groom were getting ready for their shooting session before the wedding. A day they'll always remember and a wedding that marked in my heart.
Hot summer day in Odessa. Our shoot took place on a yacht, that cut through the waters of the Black Sea. Christina and James were really happy!
