About me

We are a Perth based, husband + wife team, working full time as professional wedding photographers, with 30yrs experience and an outstanding reputation. We love people and are passionate about marriage. Every couple is unique and has different wants and desires for their own wedding day, which is why we do not have a “one size fits all” mentality when it comes to your wedding. We take on a limited number of weddings per year in order to give our clients the attention they deserve, and would love to hear more about your wedding to see if we are a good fit for each other! We are based in Perth, West Australia but travel anywhere for our clients.

We captured wedding images for Bec + Maitland back in November of 2016. A truly beautiful couple. We went outside from the wedding reception to see if the sunset would do anything special. After waiting only about 10 minutes, the sky lit with a beautiful golden glow. We grabbed a couple of images during that 30 seconds of awesome - this is one of the shots that resulted. Our couple loved it.

We captured this image of our bride and groom on the grand staircase of Peel Manor House, just south of Perth in Western Australia. We love that the black and white adds to the old world charm of the staircase. The shot was made extra fun as it was captured whilst the guests all watched as the staircase is in full view from the reception seating. Needless to say, our bride LOVES this image - and so do we.

This shot is from a pre wedding shoot we did for Michelle + Evan. The day of the shoot was raining all day, mainly just a fine mist of rain and the sky was completely grey. We LOVE shooting in the rain, but not all couples are happy about getting wet, so, we offered the couple to swap their shoot to a different day. Our bride to be had gone and had her hair and makeup done specially for the shoot so we decided 'the show must go on'. They were quite worried about whether they would get great photos, we assured them that the rain would not affect the shoot, in face they would get shots even more amazing than without rain. They absolutely LOVED the end result. This shot was taken right at the end of our shoot, they were, by now, pretty wet, so we had them play in the stream. We asked them to kiss with as much passion as they could muster and this is what came from that - gorgeous.

This shot is from the wedding day of Jaye + Dave, they were married in October. The shot is captured in an underground tunnel leading to a car park. Our couple were tired as this shot was at the end of their location photography on their wedding day. We quickly set up a couple of flashes and our couple quickly got in place. One of us then flicked the bride's veil up and ran out of shot whilst the other took the shot. We're really happy with this image, as is our bride and groom. We were lucky too, a security guard came to tell us to move on just as we'd captured this one.

This is from a pre wedding shoot last month for our couple Nicole + Christian. He works as a volunteer fire fighter and wanted to incorporate this part of his life in the shoot. On the day we got together, we went to a stretch of parkland to capture some 'typical' pre wedding shoot images before we headed to the fire station. We were in luck as the fire truck wasn't called out to an incident so we were able to set this up in the car park outside. We put a flash in the cab, a flash behind the couple, a couple of flashes either side (all covered in plastic of course). We then waited for the sun to begin to set, turned on the fire trucks water system and had our heroic fireman rescue his lovely lady. The shot turned out great and the couple love it.

We were photographing Sarah + Mark for their pre wedding photo shoot. They asked if we could head to their favourite beach. It was a gorgeous afternoon, but the sky was pristine clear. Our couple were hoping for some clouds and a beautiful sunset. The sunset wasn’t too special so after a couple of shots we headed back to the car park. When we turned around there was an amazing glow in the sky, we quickly set up a couple of flashes on the ground behind our couple for some backlighting, had them stand under a little tree and captured this image. Our couple were so happy with this last shot we captured - and, so were we!

Our couple, Yaira + Sean had their wedding in early January on a super hot day, The heat was intense and there was no breeze to lessen the temperature effect. This did not stop our couple from enjoying every single minute of their wedding day though. The groom’s father brought 3 brand new Harley Davidson motorbikes especially for the wedding day, they were driven as an escort ahead of the wedding cars. So, we had to come up with a great photo idea to incorporate them in. The entire wedding party was in love with the idea of doing a shot under this old bridge in Fremantle, WA. They got some much needed shade from the sun’s intense heat; and the low light + concrete walls and columns were a great background to create this shot. We used 4 off camera flashes to illuminate the couple and the bikes so that we could darken everything else right down. This image is now a double page spread in their wedding album.

We photographed this gorgeous couple’s wedding in March 2016. One of the venues they chose for their photo session in between the ceremony and reception was the University of WA. This is a popular choice for bridal party photography in Perth. It consists of beautiful old architecture as well as stunning gardens. This gorgeous tree is a popular meeting point for people on the grounds. The bride was keen to have some photos that showed lots of garden settings. So the tree was an obvious choice. The light was too harsh on the other side of the tree. But on this side, it filtered beautifully through the branches. so we stood them amongst the roots of the tree, surrounded by a carpet of ivy and captured this image - we love it, so do the couple, it is a feature image in their wedding album.
