A freezing day in The Lake District. I had to work very quickly so we could get back into the warmth.

It feels like the couple are on another planet here, walking towards something that only they can see.

When a horse ranch in Cappadocia & a compact mirror combine.

I love how the couple are like a beacon of light in this photo. I lit them with a 24” softbox, held just above them from the right.

With very little ambient light in this area, I used six flashes to illuminate it.

The light through this window is usually rather blue. In order to create the orange cast, I placed a flash with a full CTO outside the window. I then lit the couple with a soft box.

When the dance floor winds down, the real party moves to the bar.

Whilst on holiday with my family, I saw these palm trees creating the most perfect frame. However, I didn't have a couple to put inside of it. A few days later, whilst having a drink at the bar, I noticed Elena and Leonardo. They were exactly the couple I had been hoping to meet. I coyly asked them if they'd like a couples shoot and was thrilled when they agreed. The next evening, we meet on the beach. They spoke hardly any English and I spoke absolutely no Italian, so we got by with enthusiasm and hand gestures. This was the first photo I took of them and I'm still very excited that I managed to get the photo I had envisioned.
