Taken at the end of the night outside in the venue's courtyard. The couple wanted to incorporate the columns in the image. It was nearly pitch black out so I decide to place my light behind them for a silhouette, but there was enough light bouncing around from the flash to illuminate the columns and the couple.
115th CollectionWedding portrait taken at Cantigny Golf Course on the side of one of the holes. I used the sun as a backlight and a small wooded area as the backdrop.
114th CollectionWedding portrait taken in the south park of the Chicago Art Institute. I positioned my self on the other end of the fountain to use the water as a foreground.
111th CollectionBridal portrait taken inside the hotel before leaving for the ceremony.
111th CollectionFor this wedding party photo I had the wedding party walk around the bride and groom randomly. I instructed the bride and groom to be as still as possible. I then used a slow shutter (1/4 sec) to get the motion blur of the people walking yet still freeze the bride and groom.
110th CollectionI wanted a top down view of this balcony at Milton Lee Olive Park in Chicago that's over Lake Michigan. I asked the couple to lay in the corner and I took this image with my drone. I wanted a simple composition with as little distractions as possible - the water, the balcony, and the couple. That's it.
110th CollectionWedding portrait taken on the La Salle St bridge in Chicago, IL. After posing the couple, I ran to the other side to capture this image. I hid a strobe on a light stand behind the bridge column to light the couple to help emphasize them and make them stand out.
109th CollectionEngagement portrait taken in Chicago, near Oak St Beach. I shot this image with my drone. I wanted to create a top down perspective to showcase the triangular shape structure that overlooks Lake Michigan.
