Winning photos

These guys love to kitesurf! And as I am a kitesurfer as well I asked them if it would be a nice idea to bring their kites to their wedding beach and so they did :) The colours are amazing and the love between them is so lovely to see! Happy to win an award with this one after a very busy season.

40th Collection

This couple was photographed in Rotterdam in Hotel New York. As the wallpapers are amazing with photography art i thought it would be a nice idea to integrate the couple into the surrounding in that room :)

in this zoo which was very crowdy we only had a split second to make the shot without passengers passing by.
one of the brides friends stopped the passengers for a sec on the other side while i was screaming to the persons who wanted to enter the hall to give me a few seconds to make this photo.

one flash with grid on their faces, one in de back on the ground and this was the happy result :)

In an oldskool factory, partly still in use, I wondered if something would happen if we did move one of the handles of the machine. The bride asked me not to say that in public that loud to her soon-to-be husband as he has his recalcitrant moments. He didn't hesitate and grabbed one of the handles. The face of the bride was priceless!

After all nothing happened :)

This lovely Grandpa wanted to get his grandsons to come to dinner, but the boys were teasing him one by one by stroking his just cutted hairdo. It had to slide on the floor under a table to catch this moment with my 16-35 mm as it was a really crowded reception, but with a really lovely result! <3

Hard wind, rainy day... I send the couple up on the top of a dune. They were holding their umbrella's against the wind, struggling with the storm and beautiful Dutch clouds behind 'm. And as i am a lover of landscape photo's I new this picture was going to be awesome. One of my favourites of that day!

The moment i saw the sun coming over the roof putting a beautiful lensflare just in the middle where the bride and groom where standing closely in this beautiful environment, i knew this would be an amazing shot with this early morning light, the sun at the right place and this beautiful couple.

I just had to play with the right position to catch the best flare. Moments like this make my job as weddingphotographer awesome! The adrenaline and joy i feel in such a situation trying to catch the best shot... Just love it!

This couple are typical Rotterdam citizens and wanted their wedding pictures a little industrial and city like on their weddingday in October.

We had to wait minutes and minutes untill the street was fully empty (it's a crowdy place in Rotterdam city with lots of traffic).

The Dutch photomuseum is also situated in this street and the banner of the museum is visible in red on the picture which i thought was a funny accent as the theme of this couple was red for their special day. The black banner says (it's in Dutch) "gives ideas some space" which i thought was a nice combination mentioning this photo ;)

This picture was made in a suburban area between a lot of houses. By laying on the ground the houses were not visible anymore and the gras looked like a "teletubbie" landscape with these amazing clouds.

I wanted something controversional so i decided to let the lovely couple walk to the left instead of walking to the right outside the picture to create a different view of what you suspect because of the surrealistic landscape.
