The photograph was taken in San Juan de Gaztelugatxe, Spain. A long stone path connects the coast with the church. Shortly after taking the picture it started to rain heavily with a whirlwind.
This photograph was taken during the preparations for a wedding in an ancient palace in wine cellars in Zamora, Spain.
During the cocktail the groom's friends lifted him by surprise. They threw so high that almost reached my position.
During trash the dress session in Venice it started to rain. Under an umbrella grooms they stood over a bridge while passers crossed it from one side to the other.
At the end of our story dating in Piazza San Marco he started the tide so we took the opportunity to make a reflection in the water.

I know this couple for years, it was a pleasure to choose me as their wedding photographer.<br /><br /> For photos of prewedding we went out for the day to Punta del Este. It was cloudy all day. . . we had the hope that in the evening some ray of sun appeared and it was! We ended the photos in Punta Ballena, an incredible place with a beautiful sunset!! A grand finale!

When I captured such an elegant wedding dress I knew I had to freeze this time. Galia Lahav makes some of the most breathtaking items so this had to be perfect. Hung in an old cathedral style window at the Villa in south beach Miami formerly known as the Versace Mansion, this picturesque dress did all the talking. We decided to do something a little different and photograph it from behind to really get all the detail from the train and if nothing else just make it look different. When you do what you love you love what you do and inter to show all my clients that I not only love taking pictures but I have fun creating something they can cherish for the rest of their life.
The rich architecture of this old cathedral style church set in New Jersey was something straight out of a fairytale wedding.
After every one had entered the church, the bride had one final moment with her dad right before she walked down the aisle. What better way to say thank you and goodbye to dad as his little girl.
Set on the beautiful cliffs in Montauk LI, this amazing couple said their I Do's where it all started for them. The views here were so breath taking it looked like something out of a movie. It makes you realize that if you can take a beautiful couple, a beautiful landscape and an unforgettable day, you create a forever lasting moment for everyone to have.
Most wedding portraits show how beautiful the day is. We want to show how romantic and intimate the night can be. When the sun goes down there endless more opportunities to light the night.
Sometimes it's not about the picture of the bride or the dress separately, rather the act of what it's truly there for. We captured one of the most special times for a bride in that of the moment she slips into her dress on her wedding day. Freeze the moment and it lasts forever.
It's not often we get the actual view of the bride and groom. The father of the bride had made a touching speech to his daughter and new son in law. The moment had to be frozen in time some how. The point of view can be so touching as it out you back into that moment. As wedding photographers we have the opportunity to let people re-live some of the most magical times of their lives.
Set in one of the most romantic places in all of New York, this amazing couple decided to take some elegant photos in Central Park. We freeze time through a point of view that makes us look at an image so we can feel like we are the ones in a picture.
Set at their old college in Manhattan NY, this amazing couple wanted to go back to FIT where they first met. The transition in the photo shows how their paths came together as one.

First of all, the venue was great. The couple had chosen this place to their weds just for this beautiful mansion with huge gardens. Almost everyone had to travel +100miles to this place and thatยดs a lot in Finland. The photo was taken just second before the first look and I think the bride was as excited as I was, groom was waiting on the other side of this marvellous garden and when they met each other, moment was so emotional that I had to hide behind my dslr and wipe my tears off. Bride and groom was so deeply in love that I think they didnยดt even notice me while shooting around them.
The day was mystical, weather changed in every half hour. It was raining, sun was shining, it was raining...a lot, then it was shining again. This shot is taken in front of the church, right after wedding ceremony and bride is getting in to extremely beautiful old Volkswagen Beetle.
Stunning, harsh, romantic, distinctive, inspiring...this is how i would describe this venue.<br /> I already loved this location, even before I got there. We had plenty of time to shoot portraits before the ceremony started at church. We went in to venue to do some last preparations before reception would start. We noticed this beautiful wall with big windows and had to stop by. First we thought that chairs should be removed, but then decided to use those. And we are happy about it. So fascinating day and honestly, especially unique!
I just felt love with this wedding set, venue was just perfect. It located at big farm, quite a far away from city centre. When we arrived there, first of all I spotted cows just walking around. The field behind fences was just perfect for the late night portraits. As usual, we ran with couple to chase the sun. We had only a couple of minutes to get setting sun to pictures and we made it! The moment was so hurry, but still, so effective that it surprised all of us. Thanks for the couple spending few minutes in a middle of wedding party to nail these shots! Stunning.
This place was new to me and I havenยดt visited there before. When we waited with groom bride to arrive, sun was shining and I was cursing about the hard light. Fortunately bride was almost 40mins late and the weather changed dramatically during that time, clouds came from somewhere and it threw very dramatic and gloomy mood above us. Right after bride arrived, we had so nice light and we were surrounded by tremendous clouds. Beautiful and lovely couple and despite we had very short time to shoot portraits before ceremony, we got superb set for them <3
It was soooooo freezing and windy day. We went to local mountain, yes a true mountain with 30metres height :) We shot classical portraits and groups shots with bridesmaids and groomsmen. When we had to leave to church for the ceremony, I spotted this hill of mountain and asked couple to stay there. First they posed like a normal wedding couple but it didnยดt seemed to be so special so I asked to pose so that they will look different sides. Then it just was something Iยดd liked to get and we nailed the shot. Thanks for so beautiful and nice couple, Iitu & Jaki!
If I would chose any wider lens on this shot, there might be a rainbow visible on background. But I had to choose better angle so the old and crappy railway station is hidden and composed outside of this picture ;)<br /> This couple was so in love and I noticed from the early beginning, that this story is real and they are meant to be with each other. When we came to this location, it rained a lot and when we leaved, it rained again. So there was some high level forecast lord with us, thank you!
Why is it always the brideยดs bouquet that they are throwing, why can it be something else? That was the idea about this picture when I thought about these throwing thingies. I needed to took few shots and then we got it. Usually the rings were in wrong position or something else that wouldnยดt be so nicely balanced. It hasnยดt always be rings laying on the bouquet or mirrored table, letยดs try to get something new!
Usually this kinda pics we are seeing when the ceremony is over and couple is coming out of the church. This actual moment was captured while there was going coupleยดs outrance of wedding party. The whole day was magical and we were shooting this day with my colleague who videographed the day. We spoke afterwards that we just felt like we were part of those regular wedding guests, and not vendors. Lovely day, very beautiful couple and one of the nicest outrance Iยดve seen!
First dance. So much happened before I shot this frame. Whole day was true rollercoaster. It started on the early morning, when the bride noticed that this dress do not fit at all. She had lost a lot of her weight on the last week and dress was made so fit. We had booked a lot of time for portraits, but we needed to use that time for repairing the dress. So outdoor daylight portraits were gone, but what was more important, we got a happy bride with fitted dress. Couple said after that day, that pictures were so good and all that drama about that big day was gone. Mission Happy Couple, accomplished.

This photograph is from the wedding of Natalia and Ruben, a brilliant couple who organized all your wedding fondly. The session conducted in a typical village of the boyfriend named Candelario, a beautiful mountain village in the province of Salamanca in Spain. This house only live in the summer and preserved as it was almost a hundred years ago; We went up to the attic of the house I saw a window covered with an old sheet that generated a light and a wonderful texture. So the contrast of the old with a gorgeous girlfriend with a super elegant dress made to measure and exclusively by the Spanish designer Lorenzo Caprile generated me a picture full of feeling.
This photograph was taken in a spectacular setting at about 1800 meters high, was in a pre-wedding session conducted entirely in the area of "La Muela" between Extremadura and Castilla and Leon in Spain, an area of high mountains; We had to wait for the sun to come down to make this picture, I knew where she was going to put on and walked away from the couple to enter the picture the silhouette of trees while theirs to generate more information and photography stay fuller and talk a little place where we perform. The sky was spectacular, full of colors and ideally to photograph the sun just before sunset atmosphere.
This photo was taken in Salamanca, Spain, in the pre-wedding session of Cristina and Santiago, just one week of your big day, the day of her wedding. The session conducted entirely in the historic center of this beautiful city, just as we were finishing when passing by the building of a hotel, I saw the light on the ground that illuminated part of the wall and sky in the blue hour. We just hope to enter some people walking in the frame to take the picture.
This photograph is taken in Trampal Lagoons, in the Sierra de Candelario, Salamanca. To get there we had to make a route of about twelve kilometers back and forth with a cumulative total of 1550 meters altitude. The pussycat bound is 1850 meters and the maximum is 2400 meters. Loaded with all the photographic equipment and costumes of the newly married couple. The site, in the mountains, it is worth, is impressive. The photographs do here because the groom to the bride marriage asked in this same place.
This photograph is taken at the Church of Candelario, Salamanca, Spain. A wonderful light coming through the rose window, the bride alone, kneeling in that light gave us a very special photograph. I have a special affection for this picture.
This photograph is taken in an abandoned convent, of which only the tower remains, is located in high mountains and access is only on foot with a walk of one hour. Its location is in the province of Avila, Spain. Near the hometown of the bride. It is surrounded by nature with scenery and stunning views.
This photograph is from the post wedding of Silvia and Roberto, a couple who love the high mountain. Roberto asked marriage here so postboda photographs had to be done in this fantastic place of high mountain located in Salamanca, in the Sierra de Candelario, about 2000 meters.

Dmitri and Anastasia are from the beautiful city - Almaty in Kazakhstan. We called this couple - Ginger happiness ... smiling, light and madly in love! Their wedding took place this spring in the picturesque village -Alatau. This photo was taken on the promenade after the ceremony. They just walked through the alleys, hugging, discussed the happiest day of their lives, and I didn't want to disturb their harmony and just shoot from the sidelines, and the frame was born!

Nothing is better than a relaxing day at the Sunset Beach with the famous Rings and the world class sunset in behind for the perfect image!
We were having walks in Stanley Park and when I saw this fairytale like forest with branches leaning down to a heart shape! It almost seems magical!
There is always a beginning for everything. For us it was here, University of British Columbia where we met. This is why we are back here, to seal our love for our special day..
One great aspect of Vancouver is we get a great mixture of nature and modernized buildings. Imagine sitting on a bench in the provincial park filled with fall leafs and your loved one beside. Starring off to the busy downtown buildings and just enjoy the moment of warm and calmness. This is what this feeling looks like.
This was an unusual afternoon at the Britannia Shipyards as it was not packed and we actually had space to create something special. This location is a national historic site where the old ships were made and repaired. It sure looks to me the work environment in the old days was a lot better than what is offered now.
Here in British Columbia we are blessed with the beautiful colours of the seasons. The cute couple really wanted to have something unique, so we found this. Beautiful deep blue sky contrasting the layered clouds and a sunset to warm up the couple with its golden colours at the famous Stanley Park in Vancouver.
At the heart of downtown Vancouver, we came out after sunset. I looked for an angle to show even in the busiest part of the city, there are still a lot of greens to make this city one of the best voted cities to live in. Of course we had some city lights as bonus which made the picture beautiful!
Venues and our local historic building, The Hycroft Manor is just lovely. Not just the building itself but also the plantation around it! We were luck to have found this set of stairs under the two over shadowing trees. Under these trees the couple kissed and it is beautiful!
People from Vancouver will understand the amount of rain we get is ridiculous! So we are lucky to have a little cloudy break in the afternoon to come to the University of British Columbia, where the couple went to school. They stood in the middle of the rose garden, snap! A beautiful combination of the over casting clouds, mountain and ocean views, a little bit of blooming roses and of course the lovely couple!
It had been an overcast day, ALL day! It's not till the very end when this magnificent sunset came out of the clouds at English Bay British Columbia. The couples said "Thank God for giving us this beautiful sunset, it's like He opened the clouds for us!"

The picture was taken on the lovely wedding day of Kristina & Vesko. This is The Covered Bridge of Kolyu Ficheto in Lovech, Bulgaria. The bridge is unique and in Europe there are only 3 such bridges - in Lucerne, Florence and Erfurt.
This was the wedding day of Irina and Lazar - a lovely young and may I add a very bold couple who chose Lovech for their big day. The photo was taken near the pool of the restaurant chosen for the reception - Park Hotel Stratesh which is situated in a forest area within the town.
This was the lovely wedding day of Rumiana and Miroslav. Their crazy and smiled friends wanted to lift him in the air and his reaction at the moment was just priceless. Here are the best man, some of their closest friends and half of the wedding planners. The day was filled with lots of smiles, emotions and the endless love of these two young people.
This was the wedding day of Egvenia and Ulian. It was really cold and foggy september day. The bride was sick and not feeling good and that's way we haven't much time for shooting. The reception was in a sweet family hotel named Casa Art in the countryside outside the city. Still the day was filled with laugh, smiles and the love of this lovely couple.
This was the wedding day of Yoana and Konstantin. They are realy nice and lovely couple. The wedding was in vintage style and when we talked about that, the first thing on my mind was that georgiuos sweet shop! They ate ะฐ piece of cake, laughter together much and delight to their big day!
This was the big day of Rumi and Miro. When I saw all the hearts on the showcase, I walked in and asked the owner if we can make some photos in her magical shop. The woman behind the groom and the bride is the sweet owner. When we finished, she give them one of the hand made hearts, I turned around and make this photo of them while they hold the gift.
This was the wedding day of Anna and Preslav. Their best man and made of honor make a surprise for them-a fireworks while they were dancing on their first dance as a wedding couple. All the guests, the videographer and the other two photographers were there too. It was realy romantic and sweet to dance on the sunset while all of your friends are close to you, smile to you and wish you all the best!
This actually happend on my own vacation. We walked around The Eiffel Tower, when I saw a two photographers and a wedding couple. I just stoped and took a shot. It's was really excitement and kind of lucky for me to see this in Paris on sunset light. I wish the couple all the best and great pictures to the two photographers.

Bali is often referred to as โ€œThe Island of Loveโ€ and itโ€™s the perfect place to get married. Kimberley & Craig had an amazing wedding day at Villa Bayuh Sabbah, perched on a cliff top, 50 metres above the dazzling azure sea, with spectacular birdโ€™s eye views from the Bukit Peninsula. This was the last photo I took for the day and ended up being their favorite
I was shooting some portraits of the groomsmen when I turned around and noticed the girls having such a good time dancing in the long grass. Way to show up the guys! I just love capturing genuine moments at weddings.
Wedding cars come in all shapes and sizes. This classic old Land Rover was the perfect vehicle for Jess & Jordanโ€™s forest wedding, we just had to get it started.
Anna & Cormac were quite a shy couple and really didnโ€™t want traditional posed wedding photos. So we planned an hour of fun activities on their wedding day exploring secret forests, making friends with sheep, goats, pigs, dogs and kittens (the goats were pretty keen on Annaโ€™s bouquet) and we also discovered a flying fox! They had such a good time, and thatโ€™s exactly what your wedding day should be about.
Iโ€™d had this idea in my head for a while so I was stoked to find a couple that were keen to schedule a shoot that coincided with the full moon. Unfortunately it was very cloudy that evening, but there was a little gap in the clouds at the perfect moment. They ended up with an unique photo and got to witness an amazing moonrise first hand.
Amie & Elliot got married in an old school house in the forest which unsurprisingly is called Old Forest School. Amie arrived in an amazing 1965 Mercedes which has only ever had one owner so we took an opportunity to go for a post ceremony cruise through the woodland roads
I always encourage couples to make their bridal party shoots more of a fun adventure. These are their closest friends on the greatest day of their lives so I think itโ€™s important to give them some time to just hang out together and enjoy the day. Add one hungry goat which is partial to flowers and itโ€™s laughs all round. Then once itโ€™s time to shoot the bridal party photos everyoneโ€™s more relaxed and is genuinely having a good time which is what I aim to portray in my wedding images.
Iโ€™d never shot a wedding before that involved sabrage which is the act of knocking the top off a bottle of champagne with a sword. The bride had never done this either, and her technique wasnโ€™t the best smashing the entire top half of the bottle off. A shard of glass actually hit a flower girl cutting her arm, but the wound was minor and just required a band-aid. And now sheโ€™ll have a little reminder of the wedding forever.
Erica and Wayne got married at the amazingly beautiful Lake Tarawera in New Zealand. Instead of driving to ceremony Erica and her bridesmaids took the scenic route and traded a wedding car for a wedding boat. Sipping champagne on the roof of a vintage launch on such a beautiful day, the girls really arrived to the wedding ceremony in style.

This photograph was shot during a recent wedding in Nijkerk, the Netherlands. This beautiful and very sweet couple, Jacolien and Hermon, got married in a beautiful venue called 'Landgoed de Salentijn.' It was one of these weddings I was really looking forward too, also because of the fact that it's such a nice couple, which whom I had been in contact quite a bit before the wedding. It was always nice to keep in touch with them, and on their big day it was a pleasure to capture their wedding. <br /> After the wedding ceremony, the couple took an iPad and made a selfie which includes the applauding audience. If you look closely, I'm on it too ;-) (just above the bride).<br /> The idea came from the registrar (the person who performed the ceremony). I thought it was a fun idea, which was certainly an opportunity for a nice shot. Luckily, I was informed in advance about this, so I was able to anticipate on taking this photograph.
What a wonderful day it was. Dutch beauty Pauline got married to her British prince Rob. The wedding venue was not just any venue, it was the bride's parents' home. What a stunning place to live! The day was highlighted by the enormous amount of DIY elements. And by a huge thunderstom that disrupted the diner for a moment, but let's not talk about that. After the ceremony, I was in position to capture the bride and groom as they were welcomed by their beloved ones. I was standing a few meters away, planning to shoot them with my 85mm. I had a lovely shot in mind and I was all set to make it happen. <br /> But suddenly, confetti was shot into the air from all sides. I had not been informed that this was going to happen! While rushing towards the couple, I quickly switched to my other camera, which had my new 15-30mm lens attached. In a split second I decided that a super wide shot would look awesome with all the confetti, and I have not regretted this decision. A photograph loaded with color and action was the result, and I love it!
Throwing rice at a newly wed couple is a very old, Oriental tradition, wishing the newlyweds a fertile and prosperous marriage.<br /> Unfortunately, nowadays it's forbidden in the Netherlands to throw rice at public venues. However, my lovely couple Rianne and Jan-Willem got married in a private venue, which was an abandoned factory that actually belongs to the family. <br /> So after the ceremony, there was a lot of rice throwing, resulting in this great photograph. I especially love the couple's expressions. So much joy!
This awesome couple wanted something a bit more spectacular than normal sprinklers at the end of the evening. Being huge fireworks fans (especially the groom), they arranged 8 emergency flares. These flares are usually used on sinking ships, or other types of emergencies.<br /> Because these flares are very bright and possible dangerous when not used correctly, we made this shot as safe as we could, with this great photo as a result.
Some things never get old. Throwing leaves at people is one of those things. Since this wonderful couple had an autumn-themes wedding and the leaves were falling from the trees at that point, I couldnโ€™t let this chance let me go by. Two people were assisting me in making this photo. I told them to pick up as many leaves as possible, and throw them into the air at the count of 3.<br /> So they did, resulting in this photo. I especially love the expression of sheer joy in the brideโ€™s face. It doesnโ€™t get better than that!
Shot during one of the warmest weddings of the year, at a beautiful Landgoed de Salentein in the Netherlands, a venue I absolutely love. Near the main entrance of the venue, there was a wooden pier. I placed this wonderful couple on the pier, facing the water, with the venue behind them. I really wanted to get as much of the venue in the frame as I could, so I shot through the groom's shoes using a super wide-angle lens. The majority of the shots from this perspective were of the fun and laughing kind, but in this particular photograph, I really like the intense looks, making for a great photograph!
This photograph was shot during my last wedding of the season. It was a lovely autumn wedding with falling leaves and amazing colors. The couple actually got married in a converted tree hut. At the end of the photoshoot, we needed to hide a for few minutes, because they didn't want the arriving guests to see them yet. So we decided to hide near the entrance of the hut. There was this beautiful wooden wall, which I loved right away. The colour and texture of the wood was a great fit for the autumn theme of the wedding. Combine that with a beautiful couple in love, and this is what you get!
I just love staircases. While shooting this lovely couple in a beautiful hotel, I came across these amazing old wooden stairs.<br /> It was obvious that we had to use these stairs for our photoshoot. I set up the couple in a simple, but romantic pose and let the beautiful setting do the rest. Iโ€™m very happy with the result!

Behind this image was an argument between the groom and I about the type of camera one should use and the technical features the camera has as he takes on photography as a hobby. Both of them, the weather and the sky were perfect. After taking the images and showing them to Ahmad and Nadine Iโ€™m sure they both are now convinced that โ€˜"itโ€™s not about the camera but about the photographer".
Serine and Tarek's had their wedding photo-shoot session in a magical place at the lowest point on earth, the Deadsea. It was one of the hottest days of the year, she had to bare a wedding gown and move and dance in it and had to survive in a tuxedo and a bow tie. they both were agitated, I tried to sooth them down and take away the agitation and the result was this, a reflection of the beautiful couple happily and madly in love and showing everyone including them how perfect they are for each other.
I remember the room being very crowded with family and friends and I had everyone out of the room except Leen, the bride. By the time I took this picture the whole family was behind me and only Leen standing there glowing with beauty and elegance.
Serine had one part of her dress on a mannequin and the other part hung up behind her. I had here jumping all around holding her veil for this shot and she did it with every ounce of happiness and excitement. When her mother saw this picture she told me that I have shown her a part of serine they have never seen before. A happy, young, beautiful bride.
Me, a fun pilot and a gorgeous lady!<br /> Shooting this adorable couple was so unpredictable and interesting. Sometimes couples make shooting sessions really fun that you may actually spend two days with them without even noticing that. You get inspired with such beautiful minds and souls.It was great pleasure working with them and I've truly enjoyed every single shot!
Shooting my best friend's engagement was totally different.<br /> I've know him since we were in Kindergarten, thus they could not stop laughing whenever they looked at me. The freezing cold weather outside made it more difficult for the three of us! However, knowing your clients well is the secret weapon that will make you stand out. Omar loves landscape images, so I thought he'd be very happy to be part of a landscape shot. Congrats my friend.
Tariq and Serien are one of my loyal clients. I've known Tariq since we were in high school and had the pleasure to meet his wife two years ago while shooting their engagement party. Serien is a detail oriented person and convincing her to lay down on the floor, with her beautiful red gown, few hours before their engagement party was a big challenge for me. However, her passion for art and her true belief in me made it a bit easier. I can still remember the smile on her face saying " It was totally worth itโ€.
Nadine and Ahmad's big day is one of the weddings I will never forget, their wedding was perfect in every way, the weather, the scene, the setup and much more. Both couples have such an upbeat great personalities and they were willing to do everything I tell them to. All This helped me put together a perfect moments captured for this great couple.

Anne and Mark got married in may. They hoped for beautiful weather and an outdoor ceremony. But in the Netherlands, you never know what the weather will be, even in spring. They wanted to take pictures at this sand dune, because they love to come here in their free time. And while taking photo's of the two of them, the wind started blowing and dark clouds came rolling in. Not the weather they wished for, but when the veil started to blow in the wind, the magic happened!

Stijn and Willemijn got married on a sunny day in August. Their wedding day was exactly 6 years after the day they first met each other. They had an outdoor ceremony at the beautiful castle Engelenburg in Brummen, which is surrounded by some magical old trees.
I love the tradition of throwing rice after a wedding ceremony. Unfortunately it is forbidden in a lot of places in the Netherlands. Most of the times people are blowing bubbles or toss rose petals. So having the opportunity to photograph people throwing rice is very rare. That's why I really love this picture, where bride Xenia and some of the wedding guests are literally pelted with rice.
Hans and Nicole got married in my hometown Zwolle. At Librije's Hotel. <br /> A really beautiful hotel, located in a building that used to be the prison of Zwolle. And it was also the spot where Hans asked Nicole to marry him. It was an autumn wedding with beautiful weather. For me this picture is the 'proof' that you can find great places to shoot wedding pictures everywhere.<br /> I took this picture next to the hotel, in the middle of the city, at a parking lot.<br /> But from the angle I chose, it doesn't show at all!

After their wedding reception in downtown Seattle, WA, the bride groom and I headed to the city next by the famous Pike's market to get some night shots in the middle of all the hustle and bustle. After taking some photos on the cobble stoned streets, I asked the lovely couple to take one last image in the car, and had my assistant light them from behind the car on the other side. We ended up creating the striking light as the couple leaned in for the last kiss of the night!
This couple wed in Seattle, WA and really wanted some romantic photos at night after the wedding day was over. We headed over to the Tacoma Glass Museum, and as soon as I saw these gorgeous glass statues sitting in water, I got down on the ground to get a stunning reflections of all the glass structures, as well as a reflection of the couple as they shared a kiss.
Everywhere you look in Santorini, Greece is breathtaking! Waking up for a sunrise shoot to catch some lovely light was totally worth the effort, and we had the early morning quietness all to ourselves without all the hustle and bustle of tourists as seen during the day and/or during sunset time. This couple was up to anything for a photo, including climbing on curved rooftops for the perfect shot.
Although it was raining like crazy on a summer day in Seattle, this bride was picture perfect beautiful, and looked so timeless with her veil over her face right before she saw her groom for the first time on their wedding day.
Shooting in the Dominican Republic, I climbed up a lifegaurd stand for a different vantage point of the bride and groom walking along the shoreline! The water was so calm and still, it was the perfect moment!
This couple eloped in Paris, and we started their creative portrait session at sunrise. No people, beautiful light, and we got lucky when all the birds came to visit! The iconic Eiffel Tower in the background made the one romantic shot!

The couple were fond of nature and greenery and so we chose Yercaud, a hill station located in the South of India, for the shoot. Set at the edge of a mountain that gave way to a cliff, a cool breeze hitting our shoulders, the evening sun basking us in its glory and the beautiful tree becoming a silhouette under the suns might. The couple took a few mins off the shoot to relax and that's when I conceived the composition of this frame and even before they could realise that I was photographing them, those moments had become something beautiful to cherish forever.<br /> Silhouettes remind us that there is something larger at play around us and show that less detailing is stunning as well
This was the couple's first dance. They danced so gracefully and the whole crowd was on their feet cheering and applauding the wonderful newly weds! This photograph was shot at the finisher.
This photograph is a Self-portrait of "The love of my life and myself". I shot it in my great grandparent's home in a remote village in the South of India. This photograph is very close to my heart. I've always wanted to do a couple-shoot in this house for the beautiful antique looks that the house holds, maintained beautifully by my Grandmother. The first time I took my wife there, we took a few photos and it turned out to be an amazing experience! I shot this photo at Vieques, Puerto Rico when I was traveling with my wife. It's a self portrait of us. The beautiful Caracas beach, the amazing white sand and the wonderful sunset behind us was such a beauty that one had to see to believe!<br /> But, grabbing a silhouette was even better.
This photo is very close to my heart. The couple, are my dear friends, Amrita & Nick. This was shot a few days before their engagement at Central park, New york. My wife Nikithaa and I were having a ball of a time doing their outdoor shoot. Amri, my childhood friend was too shy to pose for me while she was posing away to glory for my wife. When I saw this bridge, I asked them to go to the far end of the tunnel and asked Nick to carry her, aaaaannd Voila! :)

The golden hour pictures are always beautiful and I must say that Sowmi an Shiv made my experience even more memorable. The sun was so bright when it came out! It was the brightest golden hour that I've experienced so far!. I set my frame and I asked the groom to take her hand and walk down. Nailed it in the first shot itself!

We were there from early evening, getting a few shots and finally when the sun went down, I set everything up to get this shot that I always wanted to make! When documenting a wedding, my approach is to look for a powerful story that can be presented to the eye in an artistic way. This photo represents all those elements put together: the bride and groom were watching a very emotional surprise prepared by their friends and family. It was a slideshow with memories from the most important moments in both their lives. The room was dark, all lights were off and the couple was siting down. Nothing was happening apart from them watching, laughing and crying. I created the light that was perfect for the moment - i didn't want it to be to strong, neither too mellow. I sat down, hiding behind some arrangements and I patiently waited until this moment happened...and clicked. I think sometimes photos are gifts and the best gifts are the ones you are patiently waiting for.
Right after the wedding ceremony was over, Monika & Roberto asked me to join them on a very moving moment. Roberto's grandmother could not attend their wedding because she was at the hospital. She desired so much to be there, that my clients visited her as a surprise. She waited and waited, hoping they would go see her and as soon as they arrived you could see the joy in her face. These were the strongest and most meaningful 5 minutes on their wedding day and there will always be this photograph to remind them about it. This was a moment that brought us all into tears of joy. Memories like this one remind me that our job as wedding photographers is so powerful. When grandma is no longer with us, this is the only place where my clients can go see her beautiful smile: a photograph.
This wedding took place at one of the most beautiful places I've been to, a Unesco protected place called Lavaux in the Swiss-French region. The reception was in the middle of the vineyards with amazing views of the lake. My client, who invited all her fun girlfriends from Mexico asked me for a group photo with her friends. This photo was a non-literal & creative interpretation of their fun gathering, in that particular place and atmosphere. It was sunset time, I could have lighted the scene completely but then the image would have lost impact. Our eyes are not used to seeing this way so it makes us feel curious about the scene. I could have taken a simple and boring group photo. However, I wanted to show the reason why they chose this venue for their wedding, which was the great wine from that region, the views and the fun company.
This was a very hectic getting ready in a beautiful & colorful Swiss-Italian villa. The bride was very nervous before the ceremony and all her friends were helping her and supporting her while she was getting prepared. In the back you see the bride's best friend who always stood close to her. I wanted to show the tension & support in the atmosphere in a very subtle & misterious way. Thus I stood behind them for a while waiting for that magic moment to appear in front of my lens.
This photo was taken during the exit of Stefania & Davide from their wedding ceremony in a tiny beautiful church in Valle Verzasca, Switzerland. The perfect example of being at the perfect place during the perfect moment and being fast. The exit lasted less than 30 seconds and I was waiting for their friend to walk back to the right side of the church with the wedding band they just cut - which completes the exit story. This photo summarizes the beautiful and joyful wedding they had.

We were driving a convertible car during sunset from the ceremony to the reception and I was in the front seat waiting for them to relax in order to start capturing their true love. Romina and Markus come from Germany to have their wedding dream on the beach in Portugal.<br /> After the ceremony we went to the hills of Sintra, to do some romantic shoots. This picture itยดs part of Judith and Greig Destination Wedding in Portugal. At the moment we were taking pictures of the bride in the living room of the Seteais Hotel, where she got ready. I ask the bride, just before living for the ceremony, as we were in hurry, one last photo catching the amazing garden and view. As she open the doors a strong wind enter in the room and I only had time to take 3 pictures before living, as the bride looked to the horizon and left in the hurry to meet her husband to be!! So, besides I asked the bride to open the doors, this is a very natural and candid photo, because I didnยดt asked for anything else, I only appreciate the way the curtains moved as she looked to the horizon and looked for the best point of view.
This amazing couple from Norway chose the sunny old fishing village of Cascais for their wedding day. As the wedding venue was very close of the #casadashistorias home to the art work of Paula Rego, a Portuguese visual artist who is particularly well known for her paintings and prints based on storybooks. I had predicted taking them there for some pictures near the pyramid-shaped towers which are very characteristic of this gallery made by the well-known Portuguese architect Eduardo Souto Moura. I had studied the specific spots I would want to use, and the colors contrasted I was seeking, but was pleasantly surprised by the perfect and unexpected blend of shadow and light at that time of the day, I tried to use them in favor of the picture...
Mitoo & Atilla came from Germany to have their dream wedding on the beach. This was a very special couple for me and the bar was raised quite high as the groom is a very good wedding photographer in Germany. I was quite tense and anxious, but as soon as I met them my worries faded quickly because they were very laid back and had extremely easy going personalities. The ceremony was one of the most emotional ones I have witnessed, especially for the groom J. It was such a lovely day, everyone was super relaxed, with guys playing football, a delicious barbecue and even dips in the pool. This was the funniest group of guests ever and everyone just had such a great time and those emotions came out really well in the picture.

It was one of the most memorable wedding. Which was unique not just with its location, but everything what happened on that special day! Bride had 6 wedding dresses, arrived to ceremony with a boat, party guest were from all around the world and dinner with lots of French cheese! This spot I found the night before the ceremony so just needed the girls to fill the picture...
So we decided to have a ride on the motor scooter just before the ceremony, they ride it to work everyday. We had so much fun that we almost were to late for the ceremony, so they will always remember how we had to rush back to hairstylist to fix hair and then to ceremony. I had lots of fun while working with this lovely couple.
It was one very hot and sunny day in France. The heat was 32C, so we had no chose, but to look for shadows all the time. In some ways we were very lucky as people stayed at home as it was to hot, so we were able to take such a wonderful shots in empty streets on Grenoble mountain's town views. Amazing time with amazing people:) Bride Helene and groom Bastien were one of those couples when you look at them and feel the love all over the place. Such a happy and wonderful people. I enjoyed photographing them and can't thank them enough for the possibility to work with them.
This photo was taken in the private home garden there this lovely couple celebrated them wedding. It was so cloudy all day, we couldn't get any sunshine until we walked to the bridge which was behind these amazing bushes. And something magical happened! Evening sun came out and lightened everything around with this amazing sunshine, evening sunshine! We were just lucky and happy to be in the right place at the right time!!!
We were having photoshoot on the day and it was so much fun! As usual on wedding day everyone is in rush, being late and etc, so this one was not different. Groom and bride were very charming and beautiful people, so I wanted to create the most amazing photos for them, while having photos done we suddenly realised that we are very late for reception!This is one of the last shot before we head back! We were told of by a venue manager.. But in the end it was all worth it as here we go the photograph has won an award! I am so proud of Groom and Bride as they did very good job!<br /> P.S. After all beautiful photos, this bride got so much inspired and decided to study photography herself and is in at beginning of her career as a photographer:)

I never knew whether there will be a miracle at wedding and I'd want a magic frame. This photo is a reflection of the wedding of Maya and Nikita - the same unexpected, radiant and magical.
For me the wedding is a planned and spontaneous event at the same time. There was a sea of love and it was a day with Oksana and Gleb in Prague. Lie down on the Charles Bridge or to climb onto the roof at Prague Castle - easy!
Each pair - a clean sheet. Whatever the plan was like a wedding day to the next - it's always a new story. And it is a great responsibility and trust. In each shooting I reflect the city and the couple who photographs.
