About me

I'm Jane a good old Northerner, originally from Liverpool so I can put on an excellent Scouse accent.I used to be a veterinary nurse so I love dogs, cats, llamas .... so in fact all animals. I love to travel ~ I've been to Israel, Russia, New Zealand as well as quite a lot of Europe. My favourite food is chocolate! My favourite accent is Italian and I love a well made Gin & Tonic. My style of wedding photography is bright punchy and colourful. My approach is a relaxed, no fuss storytelling one. Could we be a match? If you'd like : * Documentary/candid photography for 95% of your big day * An unobtrusive "blend into the background" approach from your photographer * A few group photos so you can remember who came to celebrate with you * A collection of beautiful, natural, non cheesy portraits of you both then I DEFINITELY THINK WE COULD BE! I'd love nothing more than to hear all about your plans - why not get in touch now?

This is one of my favourite photos from a truly beautiful wedding. My couple had expressed a wish to have some portraits taken at the lake at their wedding venue and while we were there they asked if they could "sit with our legs over the side". I was initially a bit worried in case they fell in but they're experienced rock climbers and adventurers and they assured me they'd be fine. Using some off camera flash enabled me to get them to "pop" from the lush green scenery. I really like the resulting image and they were thrilled with it too.

I love it when the bridal party is up for some fun and these girls were no exception! Absolutely no encouragement was needed for them to all join in on a run towards the camera. It was such a joy to capture them all just throwing themselves into the crazy fun stuff on the day. The laughter was loud and the smiles were huge!

Dancing on the fells in the English Lake District. On a day where we had three seasons in one day, this couple were up for anything. Knowing that there was this stunning landscape a short trip from the venue, we just had to make the most of the dramatic skies and moody tones . This shot just proves that if you're willing to embrace the great British weather you can achieve some epic memories for your wedding gallery.

I've always wanted to do a shot like this. On this day we had a wonderful heavy, moody cloudy sky and I'd taken my couple to Sawley Abbey ruins for portraits. On seeing the stone staircase I knew my long held vision would come together. By holding my phone against my lens and opting to shoot wide open I created this image where it looks like my couple are standing on top of a mountain while the clouds swirl below them.

This was such a fun shot to get. All the girls were really up for a bit of a laugh so I sat on the grass and let them run towards me keeping my finger firmly on the shutter to shoot through the moment. The resulting image was one that the bride really loved.

This photo was taken on a dull and blustery day although you wouldn't know it looking at the vibrant colour in this shot. I always like to find some kind of foreground foliage to shoot through to create a dreamy bokeh and by positioning myself behind the shrubbery at the venue I was able to create this image of my couple as they stole a few moments away from the hustle and bustle of the day just for themselves.

Another image from the most fun, chilled and relaxed wedding I had the honour to document last year in the Lake District. The whole bridal party were such a joy to work with I had an absolute blast. This image is typical of the group portraits, such a riotous session! I wish all my weddings could be this much fun.

Taken on a pre wed shoot, this is one of my favourites from the session. My couple are childhood sweethearts, due to get married next May and we had such a fun time practising for their big day. Although they were both a little nervous about being photographed, the beautiful location and relaxed vibe of the shoot made for a whole gallery of beautifully natural images. I can't wait to capture their special day, I'm sure they'll absolutely smash it.
