This image was taken at the Solihull Regency Hotel, Solihull UK. To get the shot I stood on the bed as the bridesmaids help the bride to put her dress on. I wanted to get a shot that showed the fun side to fit into a wedding dress, as the bride wanted to make sure she fitted into hers perfectly!! I angled the camera down from above to create the leaning back effect and set the lens to its widest (16mm) My camera gear was a Canon 5D, 16-35mm 2.8 lens ad f28, 1-100, on camera flash with a magmod bounce diffuser.
This shot was taken at Warwick House, in Coventry, UK. It was the middle of the day and the sun was high in the sky creating really strong shadows. The venue had some beautiful white walls on the front and I wanted to see if we could get this shot using shadows only. After shuffling around the bridesmaids a little, the bride threw back her flowers and we nailed the shot!! It was a lot of fun to take and I am so pleased with how well it came out!! My camera was a Canon 5D, Lens 16.35mm set at 2.8, 1/800, 100.
It took this shot at Moxhull Hall in Birmingham, UK. The day was overcast and rained for most of it. When arriving at the venue, I could see they had a gathering of umbrellas near their back door, and I just had to use them! We took this shot as there was a moment when it was dry outside, so after doing the group shot, some guests stayed behind and we passed them the umbrellas. I explained the shot to the group and set up went smoothly! To help the bride and groom stand out I gave them one of my reflector umbrellas and asked them to tilt it back to reveal them kissing.
My camera used was a Canon 5D, 16-35mm lens at f5, 1/100, iso100, OCF with mag mod grid pointed down on the couple from about 8 feet away to the side.
I took this shot at the amazing wedding of Russell + Emma. It was at the beautiful Pear Tree Hotel in Worcester and I wanted to take a fun shot so we decided on throwing Emma into the sky! I set up an off camera flash with a mag sphere and took the shot on a canon 5d with a 16-35mm Lens. During edit, I decided on black and white because I think it brings out more of the image. I am so proud this image has got an award! It has to be one of my favourite images from my 2017 wedding season!
