Capture My Big Day
One of my favorite moments from an engagement shoot. Everything came together, the sun was setting, the water was still and the couple was full of energy. Leaving them to play and run around I caught this moment which shows high energy between them as they were both caught mid-air running.
A great moment using off-camera flash to balance the exposure. At the top of a hill, we found some colorful bushes which complimented her dress. With some OCF I was able to capture a little burst from the sun as it came out from a cloud.
Captured in Snowdonia in late summer, this cove is tucked away in the middle of nowhere. Having found a small outcropping for the couple to stand on I ventured out into the water. Lowering the camera as low as possible to grab this snap. The water was freezing but it was worth it!
With the weather too cold to take the couple outside it was time to get creative. Using a mirrored glass table to make a reflection I positioned it between the lights and asked the couple to embrace. Dialing down the ambient light and using a low powered gridded flash I was able to isolate the couple to create this effect.
In the rolling hills of Tuscany late into the day, I noticed the hallway of the villa created an interesting foreground as partially silhouetted guests moved around in the background. After a short walk around the grounds, this seemed like the perfect place to let the couple chill for a final photo.
A little pre wedding shoot in the heart of Wales. These two wonderful people were up for anything so after a wonderful shoot we finished in freezing water for this image, a great day and a wonderful location. Ready for their big day now!
Capture My Big Day
A romantic elopement in Northern Ireland which was met by rain all day. For a few brief moments, the weather cleared and I and the couple were able to make our way to Dunluce Castle. At the cliff edge, the coastline was clear and crisp. As the couple embraced the cliffs in the background created a nice symmetry with the couple which created a powerful scene.
Captured at Wrenbury Hall at the end of the evening as their last photo. Using the hanging lights as an ambient feature a flash was positioned behind the couple to create a silhouette and light up the trees a little. To finish the scene white smoke was introduced to add some drama to the image.
This was a super quick capture as the bride and groom left the venue, waiting for them was rows of guests with confetti in hand. Shooting at 16mm the doors of the entrance framed the image nicely and little gust of wind gave the vale life.
Captured at sunset, on the Capesthtrone Hall Estate using our drone. I decided to wait until the sun was just low enough so the sky had the right soft colour and the perfect bridge reflection was cast into the water.
