Towards the end of the day, I saw this tree and decided I wanted to light it up with an autumn feel, with some deep reds. So I used 3 speed lights with red gels behind the couple. The bride held the umbrella and the groom held a diffused speed light behind him. Took a couple of tries, but well worth the set up and feel of Autumn.

At recent wedding at Brandhatch Hotel, we managed to sneak the bride & groom out at sunset, set a light up behind the couple and tried to balance the sunset above the building, trees with the flash light. With the aim to produce a stunning WOW shot for the couple. Hopefully we pulled it off.

This photo is from a recent wedding at Ashore Hill in Warwickshire back in July. On a beautiful summers day, I asked the bride & groom to just be themselves, go for a walk and I manage to get this picture of them hand in hand walking and enjoy the evening sun. A great shot in B&W of them just being themselves.

This image was taken from the wedding of Kirsty & Dan at the Iconic Ryder Cup Golf Course of Celtic Manor Newport Wales. The perfect location to another prefect wedding.

I had a fun day at the wedding of Gemma & Richie at Haselbury Mill. Their day was one to remember for sure and I am so privileged to have been there to capture the day including the confetti shower when they left the church that day. I didn’t realise how much confetti there was. But it made for such a great image.

As for the story of the second image of the tree. Towards the end of 2015 I was at a wedding near a golf course and spotted this large but lone tree. All day it was in my mind and I kept thinking of how I could use this tree in an image. But with the light fading, I decided the only way was to light it up and be creative. I had to use 3-speed lights behind the tree/couple on a tri-sync, to speed the light around and into the tree. A fourth light was placed in front of the couple to light them up. So after a little setup and some test shots, I got the couple out and well the rest is history! I love the challenge of creating something unique for each couple with light and so pleased the image became a reality.

The story behind the first picture of the bouquet throw. Well I was at a wedding, enjoying the warm evening air, when the bride decided it was time to throw her bouquet. So I just grab my camera and thought it would be a great idea to join in with the girls to see if I could grab as many shots as possible as they all run and jump in hope of catching the bouquet. Luckily for me, I was in the right place at the right time and with the camera set to 11fps, I walked away a happy man with the image I wanted.
